I am a decades-long fan of Del Taco. Unfortunately, you closed the one nearest to my house Chula Vista CA *****, a few years ago, so now I have to be in San Diego (there are * locs. I go to) to enjoy your menu.**Today I ate at **** B St., San Diego (Store *****). As always, the service and food were very good (*:** pm).**HOWEVER, some of the physical conditions are in IMMEDIATE NEED OF CORRECTION:***) AC not working adequately.* (Affects workers even more* than customers: I used to * work for Workers’ Comp (as * well as GL companies).***) The fire exit door is not * marked as such * (painted same color as wall* with no indication that it is * indeed an exit.***) When I tried to open it to * verify it was a working exit,* pushing very hard, it * WOULD NOT OPEN! * The door is out of * alignment* only by exerting * an extreme amount of * pressure was I finally able* to open it.**) There are two bathrooms,* but one is locked shut * because their is * something wrong with * the lock, making it totally * unavailable until repair.* So what happens if there * are several customers* waiting but an employee * needs to use the * bathroom?**As you can tell, these repairs need to be taken care of immediately. In fact, I believe the exit door situation is a fire code violation. I am sure you do not wish either your employees or customers to be either inconvenienced or be put in harm’s way should an emergency arise, nor be cited*or fined by any municipal entity.**Especially the bathrooms should be regularly inspected to make sure that you will not be assessed the $*,***. per*item penalty for any ADA violations (e.g., no toilet paper, etc. * *K EACH!). **The employees should be made aware of these potentially onerous fines*legal fees, that could very easily assessed should a handicapped person take a photo of the missing*disrepaired item with their cell phone. I went online and sent the list of problems: also was prompted via a phone* provided to call, when I verbally relayed the same info. The manager called the next day to review the items needing correction (didn't relay to food or service, but minor door repair issues).
