I wanted to know why the flags are at half-mast on the new building. I approached the front door to ask, but it was locked. Eventually, a man inside asked me what I needed. I inquired about the lowered flags, mentioning they should be raised after the victims' burial. He mentioned waiting for a call to raise them, which seemed odd. I expected more awareness from a newspaper employee at the only major paper in town after the Times Herald closed. I took a picture of the flags to document the situation. I will be forwarding this message and the photo to the VA for their input.

I need help reporting a serious issue with ATMOS. Last week, they dug deep pits along my alley and other nearby streets, but there has been little progress. The pits are now filled with water due to the rain, attracting mosquitoes. I'm worried about the risk of West Nile Virus for the residents. The excavation was done right at the edge of the pavement, around 4' to 5' deep, on expansive clay soil. With it turning into mud, I'm concerned about potential collapses under heavy vehicles or more rain. The alley has been deteriorating for 18 years, with cracks, patched potholes, and more cracks. I fear the pavement could give away, causing a serious accident. I can't find a contact for the Dallas Morning News to report this issue.

I have been experiencing ongoing issues with the delivery of my newspaper. I have a disability that limits my ability to walk long distances, so I have requested multiple times for the paper to be delivered to my front porch. Despite these requests, the paper is consistently thrown onto my driveway near the street. I have tried to address this with the supervisor, Wes Williams, but have had difficulty reaching him as of late. The recent rainy weather has only exacerbated the problem. I have been a loyal customer of Dallas Morning News for years, receiving daily deliveries, and I am disappointed by the lack of resolution to this recurring issue. My contact number is [redacted].

I submitted a complaint to the editor a few months back regarding your publication using the same editorial content as approximately [redacted] other papers, which seems to lean left. Today, you published an editorial supporting Beto with limited evidence, critiquing his immigration stance and criticizing Cruz. While a neutral stance would be preferable, your articles often favor left-leaning views and downplay or ignore centrist or right-leaning information. I acknowledge I cannot change your bias, but I will be canceling my subscription to The Dallas Morning News and requesting that you stop automatic payments from my account. Thank you. - J.W. Price

I encountered an upsetting experience at Love Airport recently that I feel compelled to share publicly. As a senior female traveler with health issues, I was treated poorly by TSA personnel, including offensive remarks made about me. My scarf was lost during the security check and, upon contacting lost and found, I received unsatisfactory responses and was ultimately charged a hefty fee for its return. Despite promises of an investigation, I was met with deceit and unhelpful customer service. After facing several obstacles, I was forced to pay $68 for the return of my scarf, which significantly impacts my limited disability income. I believe these actions were unjust and wish to expose the individuals involved, particularly the supervisor who handled my case. It's disheartening to think that others may face similar mistreatment. Any assistance in sharing my story would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for listening. Amy D.

I have been a subscriber to the DMA for many years. Unfortunately, I have been experiencing issues with my carrier. Last summer, I asked for my paper delivery to be stopped while I was away, but the carrier continued to deliver it. I also requested that the paper be placed on my steps instead of the lawn due to the sprinklers, but this was not done. Recently, the paper has been delivered to my neighbor who does not read it. I have contacted customer care multiple times, but the problem persists. Amanda asked me to call back if the issue persisted, but when I did, we got disconnected, and she did not return my call. Today, I walked to my neighbor's house to retrieve my paper. This situation is frustrating. I am Karen Jordan from Frisco, Texas, and my husband is considering canceling the subscription. I need assistance with resolving this ongoing problem.

I have a subscription for 7-day delivery at [redacted] Anthony Lane, Sachse, TX, for my mom under the name Dona Hernandez. I contacted customer service yesterday because my mom did not receive the paper on Sunday or Monday as expected. I was promised this issue would be resolved, but unfortunately, the paper still hasn't been delivered. My mom is considering canceling the subscription. Can you ensure the paper is delivered to her address? Thank you, Dona Hernandez

My name is Rose Juarez. For a long time, I have been receiving The Briefing and El Dia on Wednesdays and Saturdays. However, today, the carrier left a note saying I would no longer receive the Saturday issues, which is disappointing since I rely on the Saturday edition for coupons. I am a senior and depend on these coupons. My new phone number is [redacted], my previous home line was [redacted] but is no longer in service. Please advise on how I can continue to receive the Saturday issues. Thank you. Rose Juarez [redacted] Shiloh Rd. #[redacted] Plano, Texas.

Yesterday, the 11th, the newspaper was not delivered, and despite my efforts to get a replacement through the automated system for my Mother, a subscriber for 29 years, the replacement never arrived. After multiple calls and a long wait, I finally spoke to a representative who reassured me of a delivery but by 2 PM, I had to purchase a paper. Another representative later promised a credit for the inconvenience. Despite assurances of on-time delivery, today's paper was also missing. Unanswered calls and unmet promises are disappointing for a loyal subscriber for nearly three decades. It's frustrating when social media gets attention but basic service lacks.

I have been living in the PNCC building within the Juliette Fowler communities for over two years. Recently, my subscription to the DMN has not been consistently delivered to my apartment. The delivery address should be my apartment on the 2nd floor, Junius unit #[redacted], accessed from Eastside Drive. Despite the delivery supervisor dropping off a late paper in the lobby, it has not been brought up to my apartment. On Sunday, March 17th, the paper was once again left in the lobby, and despite efforts, nobody was able to locate it for me. I would like to request that the paper is delivered directly to my apartment door, similar to the service I received when living in the Jackson building at the same facility. As a long-time subscriber who values a printed copy, I hope to ensure reliable delivery going forward.

My father's newspaper was not delivered on 3/25/[redacted] or 3/26/[redacted], and the Sunday paper for 3/24/[redacted] arrived late at 5 PM. This has been a recurring issue since December, and I have struggled to contact customer service to address it due to the lengthy wait times. Despite previous attempts to resolve the problem, it continues to happen. As my father is elderly and hard of hearing, it is unfair that he pays for a service not being fulfilled, requiring constant follow-up from customers. I urgently seek a timely resolution. While I provide the most recent dates, there have been numerous other occasions when I could not spare the time to call and face long waits, resulting in missed deliveries on many other days.

Many chronic pain patients feel abandoned since the CDC guidelines on opioids. As a medical refugee who left everything in GA for better care in TX, I urge you to shed light on the crackdown on patients' rights. Denying proper care leads to devastating consequences. Despite the opioid epidemic, policies must consider those in genuine need. With 18 years of records proving my situation, I seek recognition for my pain journey. I never chose this path, being a victim of oral surgery gone wrong. Survival hinges on advocating for myself. Join me in bringing attention to the importance of access to necessary treatments. The fight for change is crucial for patients like me who rely on opioids as a last resort.

Please pass this feedback along to your top management. It's appreciated how hard you've worked to transition into the online world. I recently subscribed and appreciate the effort. However, the notion of sticking to "regular office hours" seems dated. Today's world doesn't stop at 5PM. Consider extending service hours to better accommodate subscribers, maybe until 9PM, 8PM, or even 7PM. Your commitment to set hours might inadvertently give off the wrong impression. Adapting to the reality of modern schedules may be crucial for maintaining subscriber satisfaction. Thank you for considering making these adjustments to better serve your loyal customers.

I would like to address the situation regarding the verdict in the Amber Guyger case and express the disappointment felt by many, particularly within the African American community. The actions of Judge Kemp distributing a bible and offering religious guidance to Guyger have been widely criticized. This gesture has been seen as inappropriate and not in line with the expectations of someone in her position. The sentencing of 10 years with the possibility of parole after 5 years has also sparked outrage, with many feeling that the punishment does not match the severity of the crime. The perceived lack of genuine remorse from Guyger during the court proceedings has added to the distress of those following the case. Overall, the handling of this case has raised concerns about the fairness and equity within the justice system, especially in cases involving people of color. It is essential for those in positions of authority, like Judge Kemp, to act in accordance with the law and ensure that justice is served impartially.

In the past, I used to send letters to the editor via email to the designated address. I am a loyal customer who receives the daily and weekend papers. However, when I now attempt to submit a letter via email, I am prompted to join the electronic DMN for a fee, which I find to be unacceptable. I value the physical copies of the paper over the electronic version and find it disappointing that I may no longer be able to submit letters without extra charges. This situation might lead me to reconsider my subscription to the DMN. - John R. Allen & Linda Gail Allen

I have been charged for the Dallas Morning News newspaper that I have never received at my residence. I do not have a contract with this newspaper and was unaware that I needed to inform them of cancelling the subscription. I am being invoiced $56.66 for a newspaper that was never delivered to me. The Dallas Morning News insists that I should have canceled the subscription, even though I never agreed to receive the Sunday and Wednesday papers. They have now escalated the matter to A.R.M. Solutions for collection. I am questioning why I am being asked to pay for a subscription I never signed up for or wanted.

I've been a loyal subscriber to The Dallas Morning News for over 30 years, but the continuous price hikes are becoming overwhelming. Over the past 5 years, the readership has decreased significantly from almost [redacted],[redacted] to under [redacted],[redacted], and I fear I may have to cancel my subscription too. Although I enjoy the sports section, the left-leaning political bias of the newspaper is frustrating. Even the sports page quality seems to be declining, likely due to cost-cutting measures. Last year, I paid $[redacted] for my annual subscription, and this year it has increased by a staggering 25% to over $[redacted]. Previously, the cost was around $[redacted] per year. It feels like the burden of the loss of readership or poor management is being shifted onto the remaining subscribers. The continuous price hikes will only drive away more readers. Perhaps a different approach could be more successful - a price reduction to attract more readers instead of relying on a diminishing subscriber base. I predict that with this latest price increase, the subscriber numbers will plummet even further.

I am frustrated and disappointed with the ongoing issues regarding the delivery of my paper. This weekend, on 12/28/[redacted], I did not receive my Saturday or Sunday paper despite contacting customer service multiple times. Despite assurances of delivery, I am left without my papers. There have been numerous instances where the paper has not been delivered, and my complaints seem to go unresolved. While there was a temporary improvement with an alternate carrier delivering the papers promptly, this has regressed to unreliable service once again. I believe I should be compensated with a discount considering the consistent poor service. I am concerned about the whereabouts of the undelivered papers and strongly request a reliable carrier to handle my deliveries going forward. Your assistance in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Carol Echols [redacted] Redwood Place, Lewisville, TX

I have been a loyal customer for approximately 20 years and my delivery carrier is consistently punctual. However, I am frustrated with the fluctuations in my bill. Despite being promised a reduction, upon each 6-month autopay withdrawal, I am charged the regular rate or even more. I notice the newspaper getting smaller and more expensive due to digital editions, leading me to feel unfairly treated as a paying customer. Furthermore, I receive unwanted free Spanish editions that are left uncollected. I believe stopping these deliveries could be more eco-friendly and cost-effective. I suggest receiving only the Comics and Puzzles section rather than the entire paper to reduce waste. It disappoints me to consider canceling my subscription due to these issues, despite enjoying the service of my carrier. I commend their service with a generous tip every Christmas. However, unless these concerns are addressed, I may have to discontinue my subscription in the future. Thank you for listening.

I have been a long-time subscriber to the Dallas Morning News, currently receiving the e-version with Sunday delivery. However, I have not received my Sunday paper for 3 out of the past 5 weeks, especially the last 2 weeks. I reached out on 6/13 and 6/15, speaking with Diana who promised to escalate the issue but I have yet to receive a call back. I am not looking for a credit but rather a prompt delivery of the paper by 7:30 am on Sundays, as my neighbors receive theirs on time. I would appreciate a discount on my next subscription. Thanks, S. Elfenbein.
