Help with my DISH issue

I have come to find that my issue does not involve or can be fixed by DISH. The problem needs to be resolved with my locating the actual "Sharp" remote, or a facsimile that works, in entering the information required. We thought we had done that, but the TV doesn't seem to acknowledge this information when it is entered. I guess our older "smart TV" is not 'smart enough' with the processes now required. It just feels like we're jousting at windmills.

GetHuman4149007 did not yet indicate what DISH should do to make this right.

How GetHuman4149007 fixed the problem
I was laboring under the delusion that we had the "Hopper-*". At least that's what DISH told us we'd get after our original receiver took a dump * minutes before the Packer-Bear game in September. We had to wait almost * weeks for the installation we did get. Come to find out, we received their "Sling" version that is impossible to receive Amazon Prime on. We have recently up-graded at a negotiated one-time cost. We'll see.
