Dear Forum Members, Last October, my husband surprised me with a Cuisinart coffee maker he ordered based on consumer reports as the best fit for us. Although it has been performing well, in early August [redacted], a hairline crack appeared on the carafe just below the metal ring, causing it to leak coffee. The model number is DCC3200 with a serial number of [redacted], and it is under a year old. I suspect a stress factor or defect in the glass led to the crack due to its poor quality. I kindly request a replacement carafe under warranty. I am happy to provide a picture if needed. Thank you, F.D. Stay

I purchased a mixer on 3/7/[redacted] and have only used it a few times to make chocolate chunk cookies. The butter keeps smearing up the sides of the bowl no matter what speed I use or ingredients I add. My previous mixer, a Kitchen Aid, worked better for over 20 years. I am disappointed with this purchase; hand mixing would be easier. Thank you, L.M. [redacted] Brookside Drive Furlong, PA [redacted] [redacted]

Upon initiating the coffee maker, a hairline crack halfway around the carafe's bottom, just below the metal ring, resulted in brewing coffee leakage. This incident occurred within nine months of purchasing the carafe. Despite several attempts via gethuman.com seeking assistance, the issue remains unresolved. I would appreciate it if Cuisinart could replace the carafe due to what seems to be poor quality and inherent flaws present since its manufacture.

I would like to address some concerns regarding a recent Cuisinart purchase. Four months ago, upon moving into my new home, I purchased a Cuisinart 2 qt. Stainless steel tea kettle (Model CTK - SS4) from Bed, Bath & Beyond. Regrettably, after only 2 1/2 months of usage, I have noticed corrosion at the bottom interior and along the lid's rim. I had high expectations due to Cuisinart's reputation but am disappointed by the quick onset of rust. I intend to discontinue using the kettle and may share images elsewhere to highlight this issue. It seems that Cuisinart, like other brands, might be compromising on quality. This experience has led me to reconsider my loyalty to the brand. Best, N. Petrie

I bought a Cuisinart coffee maker similar to a Keurig at the end of September [redacted]. Unfortunately, by December of the same year, it began brewing only half cups of coffee. Upon contacting customer service, I received varied advice such as descaling the machine every few weeks, then later being warned against doing it frequently due to potential damage. After several unsuccessful attempts to fix the issue following different instructions, the store where I bought it, Elderbeerman, closed down, making it challenging to retrieve a detailed receipt. With only a credit card statement showing a purchase on 9-30-17 for $87.12 under "kitchen electrics," I faced difficulties proving my purchase. Despite four calls to customer service, each resulting in different solutions and no resolution, I was disappointed to learn that my unit was out of warranty, leaving me with the option to buy another one at a discounted price. It's frustrating that the appliance did not last, and the company's lack of consistent support makes me question future purchases of Cuisinart products.

I wanted to express my disappointment with the colorful kitchen knife set I purchased from you at a very reasonable price. I always associated the name Cuisinart with high quality, but unfortunately, these knives fell short of even my lowest expectations. While the knives looked attractive in my kitchen, they turned out to be the poorest quality knives I have ever bought. They were unable to maintain their sharpness. I have disposed of them, so I am not seeking any refund. However, I do suggest you pay closer attention to your quality control. This experience has made me doubt the consistency of your regular high-quality products like the food processor, which has faithfully served me for over thirty years. I hope this was just a one-time issue.

I have been a long-time user of 7 Copeck products, like their food processor and hand mixer, and have always been satisfied. However, my recent purchase of a Seven-cup food processor from Macy's has left me extremely disappointed. The processor barely works and is on its way to being thrown out. Despite this, I decided to give their 7-speed hand mixer a try. Unfortunately, the bottom part holding the beaters was faulty, and even after getting it replaced, the regular beaters failed to function after just a few uses. While I have a warranty, I am frustrated with the diminishing quality of Cuisinart products and have decided not to purchase from them again.

I own a 4-slice bagel toaster that I really love. However, it seems that some screws were missing from the bottom when it was assembled, which I noticed when I tried to clean it. I didn't use it much initially and now, close to 2 years later, I am considering returning it to Costco under their 2-year policy. The toaster cost us around $50, and I believe it should last longer. I would appreciate if a customer representative could contact me. Please call my cell rather than email. Thank you, Kendra N. [redacted] [redacted]

I own a CBK-[redacted] bread machine with the serial number [redacted]. I attempted to make raisin bread following the recipe on page 74 of the cookbook three times. Each time, when using the light crust setting, the bottom of the bread came out burnt, reaching a height of about 2 1/2 inches and was very hard. After speaking with a representative on the phone, I tried reducing the amount of sugar by a tablespoon. While this helped slightly, the bottom was still burnt. I usually use Fleischmann's instant dry yeast, as I did with my previous bread machine, but the representative suggested using bread machine yeast. I am unsure if the type of yeast is the cause of the burning issue. I am seeking guidance on how to solve this problem. I bought the machine on December 5th. Thank you, Sam.

Hello Cuisinart, I own a discontinued model, the DLC [redacted] eleven-cup food processor, which I received as a gift from my brother years ago. Recently, my previous processor stopped working, so I retrieved the DLC [redacted] from storage, where it had been kept by my ex-husband for over two years. Unfortunately, he unpacked it and discarded the user manual and any other paperwork. Given our difficult divorce, he isn't willing to assist me. I am seeking a user manual and instructional videos for the DLC [redacted] model but am unsure where to find them or if manuals for discontinued products are still available. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help. Julie S. Blue

I bought the electric can opener model # SCO-60 as a Christmas gift in [redacted]. Recently, while using it, I noticed that the handle had too much play and the can dropped twice while it was spinning. I spoke with Cuisinart's customer service, who said it's still under warranty but asked me to call back due to their system being down. When I called back, they said the same thing about their system and advised me to try again tomorrow. I suggested leaving a note, but they mentioned they couldn't do anything until their system was back up. I would appreciate some assistance from Cuisinart regarding a replacement or repair for this issue.

I recently purchased a DCC-[redacted] coffeemaker and have been experiencing issues with black specks in the water reservoir. Despite using distilled water, the specks persist and are difficult to remove even with hot water and suds. Customer service sent me a new unit, but the problem persists. I appreciate the replacement parts, but I am still concerned about the cause of these specks and how to effectively remove them. I would like the designers to investigate and provide some answers as I am worried about the quality of my coffee. Thank you for your assistance.

Regarding the Cuisinart food processor issue with the pusher not sliding into place when the cover is on, here's how I would approach troubleshooting it. When I place the cover on the work bowl first and then try to insert the pusher, it does not engage. I have attempted to force it as suggested by customer service, to no avail. Upon inspecting the back of the processor, I noticed the rod that should move the small white plastic piece to allow the cover to close is not functioning correctly. I was advised that there are step-by-step instructions available for assembling the processor, but I haven't been able to locate them. This problem is unique to my new machine; my previous processors never had this issue. I would appreciate any guidance or assistance in resolving this matter.

I recently bought a Cuisinart 12-cup coffee maker with a side K-cup dispenser (model SS-15) for my wife as a Christmas gift. It was a perfect addition to our kitchen with its stainless black color, matching our other appliances. Despite owning multiple Cuisinart appliances, this particular purchase has been disappointing. While the 12-cup coffee maker functions well, the side K-cup dispenser is messy and unreliable. I've tried to overlook the issues, but it's now causing too much hassle. What was meant to streamline our coffee routine has resulted in needing two coffee makers on the counter. This seems to be a common problem based on online feedback. I paid $[redacted] for a machine that underperforms compared to a $29 coffee pot. I'm frustrated with this product and considering looking for alternatives if the issue isn't addressed. I'm open to sharing a video of the mess for reference. Thank you for listening to my concerns. Bob

I have several pots and pans from your collection that I've enjoyed using for years. Recently, I noticed that one of my Dutch oven style pots has become discolored on half of the outside, now not matching the set of 6 pots with glass lids. I've only had these for about 3 months, and I'm unsure how this color change happened. Typically, I have been pleased with the quality of your products, but I'm disappointed with this issue. I would appreciate it if I could get a replacement for this pot to complete my set. Despite the discoloration, they still cook well, and I hope to remain a loyal customer. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, M.P.

I received a Cuisinart Coffee Center as a gift, but the heater plate started peeling after just five months. I contacted Cuisinart and was informed that I would need to pay $10 for shipping for a replacement and cover the cost of returning the damaged one. However, when I shipped the item back as instructed, the post office charged me $49 for shipping, making it a total of $59 to replace the defective product. Despite my attempts to address this with customer service, they repeatedly stated they could not refund the shipping cost. I'm disappointed by this experience as I've never had to pay for a replacement from any other company. I hope to be reimbursed the $59 and I can provide a copy of the postal service receipt if needed.

I purchased a Cuisinart Griddler at Kohl's in January with Christmas money. After using it about six times, an error code appeared on the screen rendering it unusable. I contacted customer service a month ago, speaking with Desiree, who mentioned it could be replaced but her system was down. I attempted to call back but the wait time was too long. I am requesting Cuisinart to replace the faulty Griddler and will happily return the broken one with a shipping label provided. Please note, the call may have been recorded. Hello, I bought the Cuisinart cast iron Dutch oven on 09/02/19 and registered it the following day. On the first use to make a pot roast in a [redacted]-degree oven for seven hours, I noticed a small piece of enamel glaze came off the handle. It was found in the cooking tray under the pot and there was no contact with the oven, only cloth oven mitts were used. I understand the care required for porcelain products like this. I am worried that more enamel might come off next time I use it. I believe this should be covered under the warranty due to the enamel coming off during the first use, indicating defective workmanship. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. I can send a picture of the issue if needed. Thanks again, Drew Birmingham, 6 Frontier Trail, Manorville, NY [redacted], [redacted]

I purchased this 12-inch frying pan a few months ago, but I've been struggling to cook with it as everything sticks to the bottom. Despite my efforts, the pan doesn't come clean and has developed a rusty film, with the black coating worn off. I was hoping if you could perhaps send me a different non-stick frying pan from your brand, maybe something of better quality. I am on a tight budget and cannot afford to buy a new one. I took a picture of the frying pan if that would help. Your prompt attention to this issue would be greatly appreciated. -Luis A. North Ridgeville, Ohio

I purchased a set of Cuisinart pots and pans, which I generally love, except for the Model#[redacted]-24G Saute' Pan with cover 3.0 qt. Stainless steel. Despite trying various methods suggested online, the food sticks to this pan unlike my Revere Ware stainless steel pan of the same size which works perfectly. I have taken good care of it but nothing seems to work. I have tried curing it, using Bar Keepers Friend, and even SOS pads like on my other pan, but nothing helps. I am frustrated and considering throwing it away, which is disappointing as I usually recommend Cuisinart to my friends. Can someone explain why this pan is causing these issues? Thank you.
