The issue in GetHuman-bdstxwf's own words
I signed up for the *$ until **** membership, and eas told if I liked the gym, to come into the grand opening event and look at the two packages and decide which package I wanted. I was told it would be month to month, with no contracts. I have all this in txt with the current stores general manager from October. Well I never went into the gym, and decided that I want to hold off on working out in a public place until covid-** is a little more under control. So I didn’t go to the open house for the grand opening, nor did I sign up for any monthly plan. Well * weeks into January, I get a $**.** charge from crunch gym the same day I replied to a txt that I didn’t want a membership because of covid. Then, * days later, I get another charge $**.**. I emailed the manager who I had spoken with in October, (because in October, she asked to set up a customer entry box in my business, for my clients to enter a drawing for a free membership), and told her that I’d been charged accidentally, and requested a refund. I told her I hadn’t signed up for any membership and had never even come to the gym because of fears over covid **, but had been charged twice in a * day period by crunch gym. She told me she was only the manager and couldn’t refund me, but would email corporate. Well, I haven’t heard anything since then and haven’t gotten a refund. This seems pretty shady for a company trying to set up a new business in my community. As a small business owner, I know word of mouth travels a lot faster than normal advertising, and right now to me, it looks like Crunch charged me a random charge in the middle of January and then twice as much a week later. And neither of those amounts are even the price of any of their memberships. I will be asking my clients if any of them were charged random amounts by crunch gym as well, and making sure to have them check their bank accounts.
