I sent a message on December 23 regarding my 16-year-old son's gym access, but have not received a response yet. My son has been working out at this location since September with his youth pastor. Initially, my husband went to sign a waiver, but was informed it wasn't necessary for our son to work out there. For the past four months, he has been going as a guest with his youth pastor regularly. Recently, when he went with his 19-year-old brother, the boss at the gym was unwelcoming and refused entry to my 16-year-old son. The boss mentioned that he needed a parent present or a membership to work out. I want to clarify the rules, as he has been working out there without us for months, and the staff were aware. If these are the rules, my 19-year-old would like to cancel his membership without any penalties. I believe the boss could have handled the situation more politely.

I wish to file a complaint about the General Manager at Crunch Gym on Union Street in San Francisco. Upon discussing my and my husband's 3-year membership regarding the available family plan, I was dissatisfied with the lack of a more favorable offer compared to newer members. What truly upset me was the Manager's response. He reiterated that Crunch is a business, declining to provide any benefits or discounts despite our extended membership. His dismissive attitude towards our loyalty and the fact that newer members paid less was frustrating. For a monthly fee of $[redacted], I anticipated better treatment. I am contemplating terminating our membership and seeking a more welcoming gym where loyal clients are valued.

I visited Crunch Fitness in Whitby recently, and my experience was disappointing. I entered the gym to inquire about a membership and take a tour. After waiting for 10 minutes while the only staff member at the front desk assisted another member, I was requested to fill out a waiver form. The form asked for my name, email, date of birth, signature, and phone number. I was reluctant to provide all this personal information and questioned the need for a waiver just for a tour. I was not comfortable giving out my personal details before signing up. The staff refused to proceed with the tour or discuss memberships without this information. As I left, a team member insisted that it was their policy. I felt my privacy was being violated, and I chose not to join the gym. I am considering reaching out to the privacy commission to understand if sharing my personal information is necessary for a tour and consultation.

This morning, I had an unpleasant encounter at the yoga studio. I had previously mentioned to the instructor about getting injured in her class and she seemed dismissive. Subsequently, a man claiming to be her husband confronted me aggressively. Feeling threatened, I reported the incident to the front desk staff, but the man followed me there, shouting and making physical gestures. The situation escalated, and the staff had to intervene by ensuring my safety until I could leave the premises. It was a distressing experience, and unfortunately, the manager did not intervene.

The Crunch website stated that they would reply within 24 to 48 hours, but I have not received any response after sending a message on January 3, [redacted]. My daughter, A. H., had a membership at the Stratford location in [redacted]. Being a kinesiology major at Western and living far from Stratford, she couldn't physically visit the gym to cancel her membership. When we contacted the location, they insisted she had to cancel in person. After several attempts, they finally agreed to cancel over the phone. The whole experience was frustrating, especially the staff's attitude and the unnecessary hurdles they made her go through. The lack of empathy and adherence to arbitrary rules was disappointing, considering the situation. It's disheartening to see a company neglecting customer convenience and failing to show basic understanding. A. H. deserves a refund for the unused membership and an apology. This entire ordeal reflects poorly on Crunch's commitment to inclusivity and ethical practices. I hope for a resolution before escalating this matter further. - P. H.

I recently joined Crunch gym for its proximity and excellent equipment. Unfortunately, I discovered they were closing down shortly after charging me their yearly maintenance fee. Since the new gym my membership is transferring to is far away, I am seeking a refund for the yearly fee, not the monthly membership fee. Despite my attempts to contact Crunch corporate, I have received no guidance on how to proceed. Busy Body confirmed they have not received the accounts, hindering my ability to cancel. I urgently need this matter resolved as the distance is preventing me from using the gym and this issue is causing me inconvenience. I hope Crunch Corporate can address this promptly and effectively, unlike the unhelpful customer representative I spoke with previously.

Hello, I have been a member of Crunch Fitness on Hrsbinso Rd in Irmo, SC for 2 years. I wanted to address the need for more punching bags at this location. When I joined Crunch in [redacted], one of the reasons was the availability of punching bags (80 pounds) for workouts. However, currently, there are only two lighter bags, and they are insufficient for the number of customers interested in using them. The limited space is also occupied by the fitness section. As a law enforcement service member, it is crucial for me to have access to proper training equipment to stay prepared for duty. Thank you, Joel.

Good afternoon, I am a member of Crunch Fitness at Harbinso Road in Irmo, SC. My concern is the request for more punching bags at the facility for exercise. When I joined in [redacted], there were four punching bags, but now there are only two, which isn't sufficient for the number of customers. Additionally, we require a heavy bag weighing 80 pounds. Hello, Upon my recent visit to Crunch gym in Rochdale, Jamaica, Queens around 6:40 PM, I encountered an issue at the counter while trying to purchase two bottles of water. Initially, I was told the water cost $3.00, but I pointed out that it had always been $2.98 for two bottles. Another representative later rung up the water correctly at $2.98. During this interaction, a staff member named Raymond Gonzalez insisted the water was $3.00. I later informed Mr. Gonzalez that the water was $2.98, to which he claimed he had just changed the price in the system. This discrepancy led to an unpleasant exchange where he ultimately cancelled my gym membership. Despite the minor pricing difference, my main concern is the inconsistency in pricing and the poor customer service displayed. I had raised a similar issue in the past and was seeking resolution when my membership was abruptly cancelled. I intend to escalate this matter to Crunch's corporate office for further review. I am seeking a refund for my personal training sessions due to job-related issues and change of address. I was informed that proof of the address change would be sufficient to receive a refund for the unused sessions. I have paid for 2 months of sessions but have not attended any classes yet. However, I am encountering difficulties with the Crunch Schaumburg franchise when trying to obtain a refund, leading me to consider canceling my membership. I was charged for December and January membership fees despite canceling my membership on November 30, [redacted]. I provided a photo of the cancellation form to Corie Manzi, but she mentioned it was insufficient proof. Two staff members confirmed my cancellation on November 30th. I am requesting that a manager reach out to me to address this matter.

I have been a member of Crunch Fitness in Delran for around 2 years, possibly as a founding member. Despite no prior issues, I had difficulties canceling my membership. I was instructed to leave notes at the gym on three occasions, reaching out to ABC Financial twice as well. After being wrongly charged a maintenance fee, despite not using their services in nearly 10 months, I stopped payments through my bank. I attempted to communicate via Facebook with Crunch Delran, to no avail. Recently, I received a collections letter for $[redacted]. Despite visiting the gym and leaving another note, the manager stated they had no record of my cancellation attempts and sent my information to collections. Despite my efforts, they claimed they had no proof of my attempts to cancel.

I'm Hayley W., and I've been facing some challenges regarding canceling my training sessions. Despite canceling almost two weeks ago, I recently discovered that I was charged again today. This situation has caused a lot of confusion and frustration for me, as I haven't even participated in any training sessions yet. I was informed that one payment would be refunded, but instead, I have been charged three times, totaling $[redacted]. Hi Crunch staff, I'm Esmeralda. I'd like to share my recent experience at the local Crunch gym in Fresno, CA (Shaw). After seeing a $58.95 deduction on my Chase bank statement on December 6, [redacted], which turned out to be an early annual fee, I later discovered double charges of $9.95 and another $49.95 for the annual fee. Despite trying to resolve the issue with the front desk staff, confusion arose regarding the store manager's identity. They couldn't initially locate the transactions but eventually found out about the second account holder from customer service. I unwittingly became a second holder when I signed up during the promotion at Fresno State without fully understanding the terms. I believe I wasn't adequately informed about this arrangement and now seek a refund for miscommunication. I value a resolution with Crunch and appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. Last night, I was living with and dating the director of group fitness, Liz Cox. We decided to part ways, and when I went to the Dewitt location to talk with her, the front desk informed me that she had called in sick. I stayed in my Jeep to speak with my family when police cars arrived unexpectedly. It appears the front desk contacted Liz Cox after I left, which led to a police report despite me merely entering the facility. Due to this incident, I feel uncomfortable returning and would like to cancel my membership under the name William Avvenire. I encourage you to remind your employees about maintaining professionalism to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings like this in the future.

I have a deep appreciation for animals, but I prefer not to have them present where I work out, particularly due to my asthma condition which requires me to exercise indoors. I acknowledge the necessity of service animals for individuals with certain medical needs, but I am concerned about how I can prevent my asthma from being triggered by animals, potentially leading to severe consequences. I would appreciate a gym environment where pets are not permitted for both health and hygiene reasons. My experience at the Lake Nona location in Florida was unsettling, as I encountered a situation where a service dog was present and the individual accompanying the dog reacted negatively when I raised my concerns. I believe it's essential for establishments to consider the diverse needs of all patrons and ensure a safe environment for everyone.

At CRUNCH FITNESS in Lawrence, KS, I am a beginner client in need of a designated area for floor exercises. Currently, the environment is too chaotic with power lifters and others creating noise and distractions during my training sessions. It makes it difficult to focus on balance exercises without feeling overwhelmed by the activity around me. Having a separate room or space solely for floor work would greatly benefit not only me but also other beginners and advanced members who require a quiet area for stretching and mat exercises.

I am lodging a complaint about Crunch Fitness in Waterbury, CT. Despite being a member since their recent opening, I have encountered numerous issues. The promised amenities like the Hydro massage and tanning bed are still unavailable. They offer a limited number of classes per day, with no additional options like cycling class. The gym also fails to open on time. Last Saturday, January 18, [redacted], the gym was meant to open at 6 am but nobody arrived until much later. This past Saturday, January 25, [redacted], the gym did not open until 6:11 am despite members waiting since 6:00 am. These discrepancies are disappointing for a full-paying member like myself.

I joined the new Crunch Parsippany location on 11/22/19 to benefit from the 'no initiation fee' offer before the end of November. I received the first month free (January) and only paid for February ($29.95). However, the gym's opening is delayed due to permit issues. I've been trying to reach the manager for over a week to request a refund, as they are the only ones who can assist with this. Despite leaving my contact information multiple times, no one has returned my calls. My main goal is to receive a refund for the month I paid for.

I signed up for the $9.95 package in January, but was charged $32.42 on Jan 30th instead. After contacting the Abilene office, I was assured I would be reimbursed for their mistake. However, no refund was received, prompting me to call again on 1/7. The staff member, Tatom, was unhelpful and rude, promising to check with billing but never following up. I am disappointed with the customer service and considering canceling my membership due to the ongoing billing issue. Despite enjoying my workouts at Crunch, this experience has soured my opinion. I was initially told I wouldn't be charged on Jan 30th and only the annual fee on Feb 28th. If this matter is not resolved as promised, I will have no choice but to cancel my membership.
