Crowne Plaza Hotels Customer Service Issues

During my recent stay at Crowne Plaza in Louisville, KY from April 4 to April 7, I encountered several issues. Upon arrival, the check-in lines were long, and the service was slow, with a 30-40 minute wait. Despite requesting a refrigerator for medication in advance, it wasn't noted on my account, and there were none available upon arrival. The room had an odor, a broken curtain, and even a cleanliness issue in the shower. Throughout my stay, I noticed cleanliness issues in the hallway and experienced an early morning fire alarm evacuation lasting 45 minutes. The shuttle service had a rude driver, and there was a shortage of luggage carts. For the price paid per night, the overall experience fell short of expectations. As a frequent traveler with multiple hotel stays monthly, I am unsure if I would choose or recommend Crowne Plaza for future trips, possibly considering it was just this particular location that had these shortcomings.

Upon arriving at Crowne Plaza San Antonio Airport on the evening of May 1st, [redacted] with two companions, we had a positive experience with a staff member named Stephanie who provided excellent service. Unfortunately, our interactions with another staff member in a gray suit were quite disappointing. On two separate occasions, I requested quarters for the laundry, only to be met with a dismissive attitude and a response indicating that they had no quarters available. Despite the laundry facilities being present, including washers and dryers and a vending machine for soap products, the lack of quarters was frustrating. The staff member's unhelpful demeanor and inability to provide a solution left a negative impression. I believe it is important for the management of the Marriott Chain to be aware of the customer service issues we encountered. The staff member in question should be relieved of their duties as they lack essential people skills required in the hospitality industry.

During our stay, upon check-in, there was a foul smell in our room that took 20 minutes for assistance. The replacement room had plumbing issues with the toilet and sink being clogged. Despite maintenance attempting to fix it twice, the problems persisted. The inconvenience continued with having to go to the lobby restroom during Covid, which was not ideal. Sadly, the deposit has not been refunded to my credit card. I kindly request the prompt return of my deposit and seek appropriate compensation for the difficulties we encountered during our stay.
