On 01/14/22, I purchased a [redacted] Volkswagen Beetle for $[redacted] from a seller on Ventura County Craigslist. The seller assured me the car had tags until Aug.22 and ran smoothly. After meeting with the seller and liking the car, I went to retrieve the money and a battery, and my boyfriend went to collect the vehicle later in the evening. The seller expedited the sale due to his crying toddler in the car. After the transaction, the car started but emitted smoke and only moved a foot, indicating a blown head gasket. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that the VIN number on the car did not match the one on the pink slip, and the seller was not the registered owner; he had forged the signature on the pink slip. The post has been removed, and I am pursuing legal action against the owner on the record and the individual who sold me the car. I am seeking advice on how to retrieve the original post for my case.

I was contacted regarding my Lego Mindstorms ad with a price of $[redacted]. The buyer suggested sending a cashier's check and additional funds to hold it, which I declined. They later asked me to send the item when I got the check, which I refused as I prefer local transactions. The buyer then requested my contact details to mail the check for someone to pick up the item. Today, I received a check for $[redacted], which is unexpected. I need advice on dealing with this situation and what to do with this likely fake check. Thank you.

Someone posted an ad on Craigslist to rent out my house without authorization. The ad features outdated photos of my property, leading to numerous inquiries due to the low rental price. I have attempted to report this fraudulent ad to Craigslist, but the process is complex and time-consuming. I am reaching out to the Cape Coral police for assistance. Please remove the ad for [redacted] NE 17th Pl, Cape Coral, FL [redacted]. Legal action will be pursued once the source is identified.

Subject: Question about Ad Removal on CraigsList Hello, I am reaching out as an elderly woman who loves dogs and recently had a litter of puppies in my family. I posted an ad on CraigsList to re-home them and successfully found homes for some puppies. However, to my dismay, the ad was removed, and I would like to understand the reason behind it. The puppies are 9 weeks old, healthy, happy, and I had set a reasonable re-homing fee. Unfortunately, I encountered one unpleasant individual who was rude and demanding the puppies for free, leading me to block him. Apart from this incident, all interactions were positive. Could you please clarify why my ad was removed twice without violating any of CraigsList's rules? Thank you, Elizabeth De Vries Ridgeway

I am new to Craigslist and recently posted some items for sale. I received an email about a query on my "Vintage Dremel Hardware Store Display Case" from a person named Richard Huang using the email [redacted] This individual expressed interest in buying the item but started changing details like the price and delivery in subsequent emails, making me suspicious. After realizing it might be a scam, the person sent me a check for $[redacted] for a $[redacted] item. I declined the sale and haven't heard back. Now, my items are not showing up in searches on Craigslist. I planned to post more items but need advice on what to do next. I have kept all the emails and haven't taken any action regarding the check. As an experienced eBay seller of over 25 years, I'm struggling with adapting to Craigslist. I would appreciate it if someone could look into this matter for me so I can proceed confidently. - Don D.

I recently rented a room from [redacted] Miner Drive in Brunswick. The landlord has posted the room for rent again. Unfortunately, the neighbors have a negative opinion of him due to his behavior. During my stay, he insulted me, demanded I clean his entire house, wash his bedsheets and underwear, and even took extreme measures with my sick dog and my own health issues. He raised the rent to cover heating expenses but kept the temperature very low. The experience was traumatic, and there were many other instances of disrespect. His contact information is [redacted]. This was a difficult living situation that I am still recovering from.

Hello, in the past two months, I have been receiving bothersome fake calls and inappropriate images from an unknown person. The ad they referred to was for turtles, but my number was mistakenly included in an ad selling a paddle boat. I am unable to change my number currently due to personal circumstances, and it is crucial for my communication regarding my father's health and upcoming medical appointments. I reached out to the authorities regarding the situation after receiving the offensive images. Despite being given the name of the individual responsible, I chose not to take any action. The continuous calls regarding the boat have become a nuisance, and I am unsure how to address it given my inability to change my number presently. I appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue promptly. Thank you for your attention. Best, M.

I've been a Craigslist user for many years, and recently, when I posted patio tables for sale, potential buyers asked for a verification code to ensure legitimacy. After receiving the code and sending it, the buyer claimed it was incorrect. I rechecked the number, which was accurate, but they insisted it wasn't. They requested a family member's number, which I declined. This experience is new to me. How does this verification process typically work on Craigslist, and why was my phone number not accepted? Any assistance is appreciated.

I am experiencing difficulties sending emails, although I can reply to them. I have tried calling your phone number multiple times without any success. Concerning my credit card, it was used for a scam on Craigslist, a platform I am not familiar with. I have sought advice from my attorney regarding this unauthorized activity. I would like someone from your team to contact me at [redacted]. My credit card company mentioned that you might be able to provide information about who posted the listing on my card. If I do not receive a response, I will have to involve my attorney, which I hoped to avoid. Your legal department only accepts email communication, but I am currently unable to send emails. You can contact me at [redacted] I hope you can identify how my card was compromised. I have already informed you through a written letter sent to a San Francisco address found on the internet. I am Ruth K. from Fort Worth, Texas. Thank you for your attention to this matter. If needed, please direct this matter to your legal department. My attorney in Fort Worth is Kight Higgins. Thank you.

I have already shared my opinion on what you should do. You need to report this matter to either me or my credit card issuer, Mastercard, who has a connection with your company. I should not be required to take any action or seek legal advice. If charges were made on my card by someone unauthorized, it is your responsibility to address this situation. You must rectify this issue promptly to avoid any further complications. Please refrain from instructing me to take any additional steps; instead, wait for my response regarding the person responsible for these charges. I have not initiated any unauthorized transactions. Phone number: [redacted] + [redacted]. Due to email limitations, I prefer communication via phone.

I have provided my feedback on what you should do. Please report to me or to my credit card company, Mastercard, regarding an unauthorized charge made through your company. I should not have to take any action or hire an attorney for a charge on my account that I did not authorize. It seems like an illegal practice, and appropriate steps should be taken to resolve this issue. Kindly address this matter promptly to rectify the situation without requiring any further action from me. I am waiting to hear from you about the unauthorized activity on my account. Thank you.

For approximately a year now, Craigslist has been unwilling to publish our Free Kittens (we had one batch last year). They have also refused to post our Beagle Puppies, of which we had two batches last year. Currently, we are attempting to post a batch of 8-day-old puppies on Semo CL Community - Pets. Although the post briefly appeared yesterday and we found a home for one puppy, it was later flagged. Despite our attempts to repost, Craigslist claims it is visible but we cannot find it online. Within 15 minutes of trying to post, it will show as REMOVED in our account without any explanation. This has been an ongoing issue with Craigslist for about a year. Despite multiple attempts to contact them through their contact form, we have not received a response. This situation is extremely challenging and frustrating as we are eager to find new homes for the puppies. Our rehoming fee is modest at $[redacted]. We dedicate a lot of time and care to our puppies, providing them with their first vaccinations, and we are not operating a puppy mill.

While browsing Craigslist for rentals near Rome, Georgia, I found a listing for a three-bedroom, one-bath home in Rockmart, Georgia, advertised at $[redacted]. My husband and I visited the property on Saturday, March 26, [redacted]. During a call with someone in Nevada about the property, they asked unsettling questions and became rude when I couldn't follow their instructions due to language barriers. Upon arrival, we discovered the monthly rent was actually $1,[redacted], significantly more than advertised. The property didn't match the pictures online, with discrepancies like a propane tank in the backyard not shown in the listing photos. This misleading experience left us feeling uneasy, especially given our current housing situation. I urge Craigslist to look into this listing, as it is potentially dangerous and does not accurately represent the property. I have evidence of the false advertisement and would appreciate further communication on this matter. Thank you.

I am writing here to report an ongoing issue regarding a woman using Craigslist to recruit individuals for gig work. She has failed to pay over 20 people, including myself, for the work done at events funded by local government sources. The total unpaid wages amount to around $40,[redacted] for over [redacted] hours of work. As supervisors, we were promised payment of up to $[redacted] a day but have not received any compensation. The events involved tasks such as cleaning up the beach, which required significant effort and resources. Despite multiple attempts to contact her, she has not fulfilled her payment obligations. The individual in question, who goes by "Annette" or "Anita" on Craigslist, is officially identified as Therese Counihanbell and operates under the name "EMERALD - VENTS CLEN LLC." She continues to recruit new workers through Craigslist ads, which I have listed here for reference.

I am in need of assistance. I recently reached out to Hobby Farm Animal Rescue in Orlando, Florida, while under significant stress. Regrettably, I am now unable to locate the farm and have had no luck contacting Tim at the provided phone number, [redacted]. If I could visit the farm to ensure the well-being of my animals, it would greatly ease my worries. Tim's voicemail mentions the farm as Home Grown Acres. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful in finding anyone familiar with this organization, leading me to fear it may not be legitimate. Any help in reaching out to Tim and arranging a visit would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance. Kim H., [redacted], [redacted]. I am uncertain of my next steps in locating the Hobby Farm and would appreciate any help available.

I'm having trouble communicating with your customer service to make a purchase. I've tried using the reply feature, but they're asking me to "paste," which I'm not familiar with. I've sent emails but haven't received any responses, and I'm unsure if the item is unavailable or if the seller doesn't check their listings. It's crucial for me to get this item, as other potential sellers have contacted me, but they are located much farther away, and I don't feel comfortable trusting them.

Hello, I recently moved back to Providence and I am thankful for Craigslist in helping me grow my massage business. Despite paying to post multiple times, I recently received an email stating my post was removed from Craigslist Providence, Rhode Island. I am unsure why this happened as there are many massage posts on the site. My suspicion is that my note at the end about not providing erotic massages may be the cause. As a professional massage therapist, it's crucial for me to include this disclaimer to attract genuine clients. I have attached my listing for your reference and would appreciate guidance on how to revise it to avoid being flagged. Thank you.
