I have been attempting to post an ad in the job wanted section, but it keeps getting flagged and removed immediately. Despite reaching out to Craigslist support multiple times via email, I have not received any responses. Here is what my ad contains: I am seeking opportunities for Office/Personal Assistant positions on a part-time basis during evenings and weekends. Located in the Irvine area (Spectrum) until 5 PM on weekdays, I am available from around 5:30-6 PM depending on the location. My skills include expertise in Contracts & Subcontract agreements (10+ years), Payroll & Payroll Taxes (6 years), Social Media Marketing (3 years), Marketing & Advertising (3 years), Scheduling Meetings & Events (10+ years), Transcribing (5 years), Design & Graphics (1 year), and Recruitment & Hiring (7 years). Additionally, I am a licensed Notary. If you are interested, kindly reach out to me, and I will be happy to share my complete resume. Ad numbers: [redacted], [redacted], [redacted]. I believe my advertisement complies with the Terms of Service, and the constant removal is frustrating.

I have noticed numerous ads all over Chicago promoting various businesses. Despite flagging them multiple times, these ads remain active. One example is an ad for an electrician offering services such as spas, recessed lighting, landscape lighting, and more. The ad includes a contact number [redacted]. If anyone needs electrical work done, they can reach out for assistance.

My account was hacked, and despite changing the password, the hacker still has access. I received a text from Craigslist confirming a scam report on my ad, followed their instructions and verified by sending the code from the ad. Subsequently, I received a fake thank you email that seemed official. I am concerned about stopping the hacker from using my account even after deactivating it, as well as ensuring my safety. I listed my email as the abusive address to send messages. Thank you for your assistance.

I have received a threatening message claiming my ad is fraudulent and my account will be deleted. I am hesitant to respond as I suspect it may be a scam. The text was sent today at 2:53 PM from the number 1-[redacted], supposedly from Craigslist customer service. I do not want my account to be erased, so please advise on what steps to take next.

I reached out to the "owner" of a vacation rental on Craigslist, expressing interest in renting for two to three weeks. A person named James Laddusaw responded via email on Outlook. Upon cross-referencing the address in the listing, I discovered the discrepancy in owner names with the actual property owner residing in Burbank, California. The address provided was [redacted] Willowbrook Street, Port Hueneme, CA. Suspecting a scam due to the owner's denial of any involvement with James Laddusaw, and noticing the unprofessional online rental form, I decided to investigate further and report this fraudulent activity. I confronted James Laddusaw via email, advising him to cease his actions. While he possesses my phone number, my address remains private. This incident, my first encounter with a scam, occurred on AirNab. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time at [redacted]. Carmen

I inquired about a vacation rental on Craigslist and corresponded with someone named James Laddusaw via email. Upon investigating the property's location using the address provided in a photo, I discovered discrepancies in the owner's information. The real owner in Burbank, California, had no knowledge of James Laddusaw. The address given was [redacted] Willowbrook Street, Port Hueneme, CA. Recognizing potential scam activity on Craigslist, I am reporting this fraudulent behavior. The online rental form appeared unofficial, leading me to contact the actual owner directly. I informed James Laddusaw of my findings and advised him to cease his actions. Although he has my phone number, not my address, I am concerned about this experience. This is my first encounter with such a scam. The rental listing initially found is on AirNab. I can be reached at [redacted]. Thank you, Carmen.

My Craigslist posts keep getting removed without any notification, leaving me baffled because I don't receive any emails indicating the removal. It's only when I notice the "Removed" tag on the website after receiving no responses that I realize there's an issue. I've been able to post the same content multiple times before without any problems. The title is "Seeking Administrative Opportunities," and the content is simply my resume. I'm unsure what the issue might be. Could it be because I included my name and address on the resume? This situation is incredibly frustrating as this method has been successful for me in the past. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, SueJ

Dear Support, I'm kindly requesting the removal of all posts associated with the address provided. It has come to my attention that there is a fraudulent individual operating there, misleading people into paying $[redacted] upfront only to refer them to another agent who demands an additional $[redacted] to $[redacted]. This scheme is causing harm to many users of your platform. The address in question is as follows: NYC PRIVATE RENTALS Times Square [redacted] W 40th St. 5th Floor Between 6th and Broadway Avenue There are no legitimate rental options at this location, and it's vital to redirect potential tenants to the correct addresses: [redacted] Broadway or American Plaza at [redacted] Broadway in Manhattan. These are the genuine locations where reputable agents can connect you with room owners looking to rent out their accommodations. Thank you.

I saw a listing for a Fleetwood Bounder on Craigslist this past week. When I tried to click on it, I was redirected to what seemed like an invoice from eBay. The instructions were to reserve the RV by sending $[redacted] upfront, and another $[redacted] upon delivery if satisfied. I interacted with a person over the phone who claimed to be an eBay employee. Following their directions, I purchased $[redacted] worth of eBay gift cards and shared the codes. The next day, I received a text demanding an additional $[redacted] for insurance. When I asked for a refund, the person abruptly ended the call and blocked my number. Even when I tried calling from a different number, they continued to impersonate an eBay representative. If you encounter a similar situation, please be cautious.

Each post following the Terms of Use has been consistently flagged for removal. Despite using the rehoming and adoption phrasing recommended, our reposts continue to get flagged. We are unsure if this is being done by Craigslist or by a user. To address this issue, if it is indeed a Craigslist user flagging the ads incorrectly, they should be contacted for a valid reason if the ad complies with the Terms of Use. Thank you.

I received a text message inquiring about my recent Craigslist post regarding the John Deere [redacted]. They claimed to be from the Craigslist support team, stating there have been scams and they need to verify my listing. They mentioned sending a verification code to confirm the legitimacy of my item for sale. If the code is not confirmed, they warned of possible removal of my account and listing. Can anyone verify if this is a legitimate message from Craigslist?

I found a listing on Craigslist for a [redacted] Volkswagen Passat Wagon in Spokane. The seller claims to be selling cars for his daughter in Seattle but insists on completing the deal at a car lot where he works as a detailer. This raises suspicions about the ownership of the vehicle and the legitimacy of the sale. It's unclear if this is a scam or if it's illegal, but it seems deceptive. I'm unsure what the motive behind this could be but felt it was important to share my concerns.

I advertised Australian Shepherd puppies that got removed. Australian Shepherds are essential working dogs on farms, similar to tractors or other tools. While I understand the restrictions on selling pets, other pet listings like Potbelly pigs are allowed. While adopting shelter dogs is great for pets, working farms require specific breeds at a young age to learn their job thoroughly. Herding involves more than just chasing, as these dogs learn to manage livestock in various ways. Australian Shepherds and Border Collies aren't just pets; they are crucial for farm work. I would appreciate discussing this further.

I am extremely frustrated! I have reached out to Craigslist several times but nothing has been done about my situation. I operate an animal rescue from my home, and someone is spreading false accusations about animal abuse on Craigslist. This person is harassing me daily on the app and even posting my address along with these lies. I believe this is defamation of character and harassment, and it needs to stop. If it continues, I will have to involve the authorities as it has gone too far. Additionally, I have been blocked from posting any ads on Craigslist, despite not doing anything wrong. It is unfair that this person can continuously harass me without facing any consequences. Craigslist must improve their handling of such issues, or I may have to take this matter public.

I wanted to address an issue with a fraudulent rental property listing on Pittsburgh Craigslist. My ad was copied from Facebook Marketplace or Zillow without my knowledge. Someone posted it on your site, claiming to rent out a property at [redacted] Hathaway Road, Claysville, PA. A potential tenant contacted me after a person going by the name of Kobertz Bryan, using the email [redacted], attempted to scam her by requesting $[redacted] without even having a key to the property. If you have any inquiries, please reach me at [redacted]. Thank you.

Hello, I'd like to share information about job openings at the transcription company I'm affiliated with. Unfortunately, my attempts to post ads across various Craiglist sites in different countries have resulted in them being quickly taken down. I've discovered that posting the same ad simultaneously on multiple CL sites isn't allowed; there must be a 48-hour interval between each posting. I've adhered to this rule and still encountered removal issues. Is there a way for me to successfully utilize Craiglist for advertising job opportunities or should I consider alternative platforms?

Many posts on your housing page that are not from property management companies appear to be scams. It seems challenging for Craigslist to require proof of ownership or property management credentials before allowing a post. Allowing these scams to happen on the site is concerning and potentially aiding in criminal activities. I plan to contact legal professionals, share my experience on social media, and alert the mainstream media about this issue. This longstanding problem needs to be addressed promptly. Craigslist enables individuals to target vulnerable populations with these fraudulent schemes, which violates our civil rights. I will advocate for change and urge other companies to provide a better alternative or acquire Craigslist. It is disappointing that Craigslist has become a platform for scammers, making it frustrating to search for a new home. Verifying ownership or legal control of properties before posting should be a simple solution to prevent these scams. I hope to see a positive response or will consider taking legal action against Craigslist for being potentially complicit in fraud activities.

My family purchased several items to aid my father's recovery. Sadly, he has passed away, and the items are in excellent condition. After posting them online, I received strange texts requesting codes for the items. Realizing these were scams, I declined offers involving checks and insisted on in-person transactions for cash only. Despite this, all listings, except one, have been flagged for removal under the email [redacted] The items include a slide-n-ride, pedi-turn, mo-lift raiser, alternating pressure seat cushion, transfer boards, one-way slide prevention system, and Prius Duet Alternating system. We are looking for the items to be reinstated as there was nothing inappropriate about the postings. I kindly ask for your prompt attention to this matter and request a reinstatement. You can also reach out to me at [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance.

I have been consistently facing issues with my Craigslist ads being flagged and removed soon after posting. Despite my best efforts, it seems to happen regularly now. I suspect a recent customer who failed to purchase a Yorkie puppy after giving a non-refundable $50 deposit may be behind this. If you can assist, please reach out to me at [redacted] or via email at [redacted] I have previously reached out regarding this matter but have yet to receive a response. Thank you for your help. Sincerely, Nancy.
