I am unsure if someone is flagging my posts on Craigslist or if it is a Craigslist staff member. Yesterday, a man harassed me, claiming to work for Craigslist, saying I was a backyard breeder, then proceeded to use inappropriate language towards me. I am uncertain about whether I am being targeted by the platform or individuals. My rehoming ad is similar to others I have seen, as I am making sure that large puppies find good homes. The rehoming fee is a way to attract serious inquiries, not for selling. I am open to adjusting the fee for suitable adopters. Thank you.

A car broker operating in Moraga, selling off-lease vehicles, showcases around four Lexus cars weekly as "1-Owner" on Craigslist. This places his listings in the "Owner" category instead of "Dealer," even though his pricing resembles that of a dealer. This practice misleads genuine individual sellers into increasing their prices unknowingly. It seems unfair for this dealer to misrepresent his listings in a way that could go against Craigslist's original purpose. To uphold fairness and Craigslist's principles, all of the broker's listings should be accurately categorized under "Dealer."

I attempted to buy a ticket for the Kansas City Chiefs vs Green Bay Packers game this morning on 10/2/19. The post ID I used for the transaction is [redacted]. I utilized Apple Pay to send two amounts, $[redacted] and $40. After the seller failed to send the ticket and mentioned an issue with their season ticketholder account, promising to refund my money, I have yet to receive a refund. Is there a way to track this through the post ID provided? I want to prevent others from facing a similar situation. The seller has multiple listings for Kansas City Chiefs tickets. Thank you, Michael

I saw a backhoe listing on Wichita Craigslist at an unbelievably low price. The seller claimed they needed to sell quickly before deployment. They insisted on using eBay Motors for the transaction and shipping, offering the backhoe for $15,[redacted]. When I attempted to forward the emails to report the suspected scam, they mysteriously disappeared from my inbox. The seller's email address attempting to scam is [redacted]

Hello, I've been a Craigslist user for some time and have successfully sold items. Recently, I've been prompted to verify my phone number to list more items. As I don't have a cell phone and use a service from OOMA, INC., I'm unable to receive text messages for verification. Despite several attempts, I keep receiving an error message that my phone can't be verified. I'd appreciate if someone could reach out via email or phone at [redacted] with the code so I can continue posting. Rest assured, I am a genuine user and have had no prior issues with my account.

I called the number [redacted] regarding a Trek bicycle priced at $[redacted] that was listed on October 4th. The person I spoke with was incredibly rude, using foul language and even cursing at me and my mother. This behavior was completely unexpected. I felt shocked by the experience, as I was polite during our interaction. It's important to bring attention to this kind of behavior, as people should not be treated poorly when inquiring about an item for sale. I wanted to share my unsettling experience to highlight that this seller might not be the most pleasant individual to deal with on Craigslist. Thank you for looking into this matter. - Frank

I am experiencing continuous flagging issues whenever I try to post in the pets section. I do not engage in animal sales. It is becoming extremely frustrating for me. For instance, today I attempted to share the following message: "I have a passion for providing a loving home to animals with disabilities. I live on a farm and am always available to care for them. While I cannot take in every animal with minor issues, those with back leg paralysis or similar conditions are welcome in my care. I am open to taking in various animals, such as dogs, cats, cows, goats, and more." Unfortunately, my post was swiftly removed. This keeps happening every time I try to post, and I am finding it quite discouraging.

I believe my number, [redacted], has been compromised. I have both the tender codes and the DL key. It is frustrating to deal with the situation. I work in law enforcement and I refuse to pay a fee to reach you. I am contacting the Federal Trade Commission. Please contact me within 10 minutes at [redacted]. I should not have to pay $5 for being scammed along with your company.

Hello. My name is Melinda Bell. I came across a job opportunity on Facebook to post real estate ads on Craigslist for a company. After posting one ad, it was pending and I had a strange feeling about the situation, so I decided to deactivate the account. However, since the email notifications go to them, I am concerned they could reactivate it. I want to ensure the account remains closed as I suspect it might be fraudulent. The email associated with the account was [redacted] During the setup, I had to provide my phone number [redacted]. I just want to confirm that the account is completely closed as this experience has left me feeling uneasy. Thank you.

To whomever it concerns, On Wednesday night, October 2, I bought a BMW X6 for $10,[redacted] in cash from a young Hispanic man who advertised it on Craigslist. When I tried to register the vehicle at the DMV the following day, I discovered it had been stolen. I am cooperating with the police, but I believe the scammer used a credit card to post the ad on Craigslist. I would like to track down their real name and address to resolve this issue as I have lost a substantial amount of money. The posting ID is [redacted], and it shows a location in the Bronx. The fraudulent post is still active. Can someone please assist me urgently? Thank you.

Hello Craigslist Community, I am reaching out regarding a troubling experience with a recent purchase. On October 3, [redacted], I bought a Honda CR-V EX [redacted] for $[redacted] from a seller named Patricia William located at [redacted] Fort Belvoir VA [redacted]. Patricia claimed to have an eBay account and requested an additional $[redacted] for custom delivery after I paid with eBay gift cards. I refused as this extra cost was not part of the buyer policy. Despite my attempts to contact her, she has not responded, and I am still out of $[redacted]. I suspect this may be a scam and am escalating the issue with the company. I am unsure if this is a legitimate seller or a fraudulent attempt on Craigslist. It has been 13 days since the transaction, and I am considering involving the police if necessary. Your immediate assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Junior Armel Belizaire

Hello, I need help with a frustrating issue related to posting on Craigslist. I had two legitimate ads posted that followed all the rules of the platform. However, they keep getting flagged by someone, leading to their removal every time I repost them. I believe these are honest ads and should not be taken down without reason. Can you help me with this and make the ads flag-proof? I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you for looking into this. Kostula

I have encountered difficulties using Craig’s List and have been unable to determine who reported me. As a 94-year-old individual with multiple caregivers, some have mistreated me, like Mary S. who took $[redacted], and Georgia T. who is facing theft charges. A restraining order is in place for Georgia T. Ms. S. exhibited concerning behavior by throwing a plate of spaghetti. I am unsure about the origin of my banning from your platform, but I believe it may be linked to issues caused by caregivers. I hope to identify the individuals responsible for reporting me to Craig’s List to resolve this matter promptly.

Good afternoon, I would like to report an individual who attempted to scam me out of $[redacted]. I posted an ad on your site and received responses from Andrea Garcia expressing interest in renting the room. She claimed her father would be sending a check for the room and a car purchase. Upon receiving a suspicious check amounting to $[redacted] via UPS, I visited my bank, where they confirmed it was fraudulent. I have reported this incident to the police, providing them with the necessary details. The UPS envelope was supposedly from Shoe Sensation, located in Bardstown, KY. My bank officer advised me to contact the authorities and refrain from further engagement with the scammer. I have evidence of the incident and can provide it if needed. I am disappointed by the presence of scammers on your platform and will not be using it again due to this experience.

A moving company advertised on Craigslist loaded a 20-foot U-Haul truck with all my business and personal belongings on October 15, [redacted]. They swiftly finished loading within an hour after I paid the $[redacted] deposit for $60 per hour plus the $30 truck charge in cash at the Cubesmart storage facility in Cicero, IL. However, upon completion, the movers left abruptly when I stepped away briefly to the bathroom. Since then, the mover claims that his workers witnessed me using drugs, an accusation I vehemently deny as part of an apparent scam. Despite promises, he has failed to deliver my items to my new storage unit at Public Storage in Oak Lawn, IL. He now demands additional payment and ignores my offer of $[redacted] in cash for the return of my property. Communication has been inconsistent, with numerous unfulfilled pledges to return my belongings.

Hello, I am attempting to create a post for a furnished condo available for rent. The rental price may vary, similar to corporate housing, depending on the season and length of lease. If a corporation chooses to pay the full amount upfront, there is a discount. I tried to input the rent price range as $3,[redacted] to $4,[redacted], but the system would not allow it. My experience with Craigslist has been good over the years, barring an incident from about eight years ago when I reported a fraudulent ad that used pictures of my husband without permission. This led to confusion when someone showed up at our door offering $[redacted] for a rental listed at $2,[redacted] on my post. I reported the fraudulent activity to Craigslist. Subsequently, I encountered issues with my Craigslist account at [redacted] I seek assistance to resolve this matter promptly so I can proceed with posting without any further complications. Thank you, Dee.

I purchased a generator on October 13th from a seller on Craigslist during a power outage. The seller claimed it only needed the pull rope fixed, and we met in town. After paying, I took it to a repair shop, but they found it had no compression and was worthless. I contacted the seller to ask for a refund, offering to return the generator with the new pull rope, but he stopped responding. I only have his phone number and no other information. I have proof of the purchase and am considering small claims court. I believe this behavior is dishonest and unfair. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you, Rick H. [redacted].

Hello, I've been encountering an error when trying to view vehicle ads from different states. After clicking on "show contact here" or "phone number" links, I get an error message that says "an error has occurred" along with a swirling box in the center and "Protected by reCaptcha" in the corner. I've tested this on various devices and had others try as well, but we all face the same issue. I've tried different internet connections, browsers, and troubleshooting steps without success. This problem seems to only occur with out-of-state ads, not local ones. It's been ongoing for a few weeks, and I'm hoping for a solution soon. Additionally, I haven't seen anyone else report this issue yet. It's frustrating for both buyers and sellers. It would be helpful to have a Craigslist tech contact for such cases to ensure communication between parties. Thank you for looking into this.

I posted an ad on Yakima, WA CList to sell an event tent for $24,[redacted]. I got a text response shortly after posting asking if the item was still available. The buyer prefers email communication and claims to be in the Marine Corps at Quantico, Virginia. They insist on paying without seeing the tent, avoiding phone calls but using the Marine Corps logo in emails. I find it suspicious and think they might be trying to scam PayPal accounts. When I asked for more details and to speak with them, they avoid providing a phone number and want to pay through PayPal. I am hesitant to share my PayPal details. I've asked about how they plan to pick up the item, but they ignore the question. It seems like a scam, and I am concerned that someone would impersonate a member of the armed forces. If anyone has encountered a similar situation, please contact me at [redacted].

My advertisement was flagged because it resembled a dealer's post, and after editing it to be less like a dealer's ad, it doesn't show up in searches on the site. Even though my account link shows the post as active, I can't find it through searching, which is frustrating as I rely on Craigslist for buying and selling. I'm having trouble accessing the platform now. It would have been helpful to receive a notification if my post was removed due to being flagged. I'm willing to pay for the ad if it can be visible. I simply want my boat ad to appear as intended. Frustrated about the situation and seeking assistance to get it resolved.
