I fell victim to a scam involving the sale of a Galaxy Note 8 for $[redacted]. The individual, Zachary Wilson, has the phone, but I haven't received the money via PayPal. Zachary is sending fake emails posing as PayPal, requesting an additional $[redacted] for an account expansion, which PayPal confirmed doesn't exist. I've contacted PayPal and learned there is no account expansion fee. Zachary insisted on receiving the phone's tracking details to finalize the transaction, leaving me without the phone or payment. Please assist me in resolving this matter. I've communicated with Zachary via text at [redacted] and can be reached at [redacted]. Thank you.

Hello, I'm Kathy. I apologize for my delayed response as I'm currently at work with a hectic schedule. I'm selling my [redacted] Polaris Sportsman [redacted], bought in November [redacted] and seldom used by my late husband. The ATV has a clean title and I've reduced the price to $[redacted] for a quick sale. I must sell it by September 23rd before leaving on military duty for a year. Concerning a recent interaction on Craigslist, a woman listed a 700cc [redacted] Polaris Sportsman for $[redacted]. She mentioned relocating and utilizing eBay for the sale. If anybody has more information, please contact me at [redacted]. Apologies for any inconvenience trying to reach me by phone.

I have not received any response from the support team despite sending over five emails. One of my ads in the community section keeps getting deleted inexplicably. I have followed the guidelines, waited 72 hours before posting, and ensured compliance with the terms of service, yet the ad continues to be flagged by either an automated system or individuals intentionally targeting me. The post is taken down within just 10 minutes of being published. Additionally, my phone number was removed from my account and linked to another account that I did not create. It seems impossible to reach any support for assistance. What issues are plaguing the functionality of your website?

Dear Craigslist Support, I am Maggie and I posted an advertisement for a roommate in Hoboken, New Jersey, with specific details and photos on the Rooms & Shares section [redacted]. Unfortunately, someone has copied my content verbatim and posted a false ad claiming a room in Hoboken for $[redacted], which is inaccurate. This has caused confusion for individuals who were previously interested in my listing. I understand that using a few similar words is one thing, but outright copying is spam. I kindly request your assistance in addressing this issue. Here is the link to the fraudulent post: [redacted]. Thank you for your help, Maggie

I am reaching out to address the repeated removal of my free ads on Craigslist. I have been posting annually between July and October for over 35 years. As a professional writer and proofreader, I take great care in composing my ads, ensuring they meet the guidelines. It is unlikely that the content of my ads is the issue. I suspect that my competitors, lacking my level of experience and specialization in the field, are flagging my posts to gain a competitive advantage. I have even been informed that some competitors use multiple devices to flag ads, further impacting my visibility to potential customers. I would like to propose two suggestions: firstly, consider implementing a system where those who flag ads have to identify themselves to prevent excessive flagging. Secondly, I am open to the idea of a paid ad to bypass the automatic removal of my posts until a more permanent solution is found. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Regards, Dave M. I have been using Craigslist for many years without any issues until now. I recently posted an ad for a room to share in the Washington DC area and someone copied my post but changed the price and left a fake email. Additionally, my account keeps getting flagged without cause, even though I'm following all the guidelines. It seems like a user who spoke to me previously may be behind these actions. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter. Every time I repost my ad, it gets taken down shortly after. This is my first time reaching out to Craigslist for assistance. Thank you. Sincerely, Doug W. Longtime Craigslist User

I found a listing on Craigslist (post ID: [redacted]) for a house in Surrey, BC, at [redacted] 69a Ave, V3W 0E2. The landlord claims to be out of the country, but when I searched the address on Google, I found it listed for sale. Realtors confirmed that the house is not for sale, indicating a possible scam. Despite contacting several realtors and a real estate company, no clear answers were provided. The name given for the landlord was deemed incorrect. The person claiming to be the landlord sent a rental agreement requesting a security deposit. I suspect it's a fraud scheme targeting multiple victims. The real estate company's response has been dismissive, with only one realtor warning to be cautious. It's concerning that the ad remains up. This situation warrants investigation by the fraud department to prevent further financial scams.

I am concerned about the increasing number of scams on Craigslist involving rental properties. I have encountered multiple responses from different numbers, all stating similar stories about why they cannot show the property in person due to various reasons like a family member's illness. This situation has made me worried about the safety of my bank account. I attempted to contact Craigslist by phone but was unable to speak with a live representative, which is unsettling. As a long-time Craigslist user, I believe there should be better measures in place to address these fraudulent activities. I hope to receive a prompt response from a live representative to address this issue.

I have twice reported this to your legal team with no response. Maria and Richard, reachable at [redacted], advertised a [redacted] Toyota Camry with supposedly new brakes, providing photos. However, the brakes were not replaced at all. Richard insisted they were new, claiming they just needed breaking in and sold the car in "good faith." I have mechanic receipts and photos showing the brakes were severely worn. If not for the false advertisement and lies, I would have accepted buying it "as is." After confronting them, they blocked my number. I want a copy of the original post to pursue legal action. Please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you. Mary

Around four days ago, on September 19th and 20th, I posted four ads seeking a legitimate work-from-home job. Initially, the posts were successful without any issues. However, when I attempted to repost them in different cities the day before or yesterday, I noticed they were either deleted or removed. Despite multiple attempts, the posts continue to be taken down. I am not attempting to sell anything or spam; my sole intention is to find genuine remote work opportunities. I am following the guidelines by only posting in four distinct cities to maximize responses. I am puzzled as to why my postings are being removed and by whom. I strictly abide by the rules and do not understand why they are being flagged or eliminated, especially if there are no violations involved. I am seeking clarification on this matter and would appreciate a prompt resolution. Kindly reach out to me via email. Thank you.

This morning, I received an email from Craigslist titled "NEWLY RENOVATED MOVE IN NOW" in Salt Lake City, requesting payment for a posting. I don't reside in Utah and have no rental properties there. Recently, while searching for rentals in Phoenix, a person posing as a "realtor" asked for my credit card and ID to show me a property. I declined, but later, someone claiming to be the owner requested my email to send property photos. Shortly after, I received the suspicious email from Craigslist about a rental in Salt Lake City. I believe these are scammers. I wish to deactivate the account they created and my Craigslist account to prevent any misuse of my information.

I am facing a difficult situation with someone posting untrue and defamatory information about me on Craigslist in the Farm and Garden section. This person, Don Daniels from Livingston, Texas, has been harassing me since April 23, [redacted]. Despite my efforts to flag his posts, they remain online, causing me distress. I reported his stalking and threats to the Delta County Sheriff's Office in June. Although he stopped contacting me directly, his posts on Craigslist continue to spread false information about me and my family. Don's erratic behavior has also been noted by the Delta County Sheriff's Office, who can confirm the inaccuracies in his claims. His vendetta against me began when I refused to sell him Miniature cattle due to concerns about animal welfare. Since then, he has been relentless in his online attacks. I feel intimidated and worried for my safety. I urge Craigslist to intervene and prevent Don from sharing personal details and misinformation about me. Your prompt action in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance. Sent from my iPad

Despite my efforts to flag his posts, they remain active. Hello, my name is Christy. I was browsing Craigslist for an apartment and came across one that seemed too good to be true. After speaking with the person listing the apartment and discussing payment terms, I became suspicious. The individual requested three months' rent upfront, proof of identification, and pay stubs before we even met in person. They wanted me to use Apple Pay for all transactions. This raised red flags for me, and I believe it might be a scam. I have saved all the messages and the link to the ad. I wanted to bring this to your attention to prevent others from potentially falling victim to this scheme. My contact number is [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance.

I have recently received multiple anonymous phone calls alerting me to a potential scam involving my condo listed on Craig's List. Someone impersonating a renter named Alex Harvey is asking for rent money without showing the interior of the property. Although I have been approached by individuals falling victim to this scam, fortunately, I already have tenants for my condo. I have reported this to the police, but I believe more actions need to be taken to address this issue. The address in question is [redacted] Terry Lane, South Lake Tahoe, California, [redacted]. I have removed my listing, but the scammer seems to still be active on the site. Any updates or assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I encountered an individual listing a rental property under the name Eddie, reachable at 1-[redacted]. The property was advertised at $[redacted].00 a month with an $[redacted].00 deposit. Eddie insisted on a wire transfer, avoiding a face-to-face transaction and issuance of a receipt. I complied for my grandson and a friend who urgently needed the accommodation. However, Eddie is now demanding an additional $[redacted].00 for key processing, which seems suspicious. I am willing to provide more details if needed. I am displeased with being deceived and wish for a refund of my money while also seeking justice against Eddie for his fraudulent actions. Thank you, Wilma Hill Shropshire.

My posts keep getting flagged, and I want to clarify that I am not involved in any scams or selling animals. I have a rehoming fee for the puppies I am trying to find good homes for. Unfortunately, I recently experienced harassment from someone claiming to work for Craigslist and using inappropriate language towards me. I set a rehoming fee at $[redacted] to ensure that serious inquiries are made, as these dogs require responsible owners. I am open to lowering the fee for the right person. I do not breed or sell dogs; I simply have puppies that need new homes. I hope to stop being harassed and to have my post remain active. I would appreciate any assistance in handling this issue and allowing me to continue my rehoming efforts. Thank you for your support and understanding.
