I came across a Craigslist ad for a Honda CR-V in Edgewater listed on October 30th, [redacted], under cars and trucks. The ad priced the car at $[redacted], but after communicating with the seller via an email from [redacted], they lowered it to $[redacted]. They claimed it was an eBay Motors transaction with free shipping and requested payment through an eBay gift card. However, after consulting with eBay Customer Service, I discovered eBay does not advertise on Craigslist. I have all the emails and the eBay Motors invoice from the individual posing as "DeborahV. Lewis" ([redacted]) who claimed to be in the military. I have decided not to proceed with the purchase and have been advised to report this scam to Craigslist. Thank you. - Sandra R.

I came across a Craigslist ad for a car that turned out to be a scam. The listing was on October 30th, [redacted], under cars and trucks in Daytona for a Honda CR-V priced at $[redacted], later reduced to $[redacted]. The seller claimed it was part of an eBay Motors transaction with free shipping, instructing me to purchase a $[redacted] eBay gift card and provide the redemption code for delivery. However, eBay confirmed they do not advertise on Craigslist. I have emails from the supposed seller and the fake eBay Motors invoice, which I can share. I won't proceed with this and urge Craigslist to take action to prevent others from falling for this scam. Regards, Sandra R.

Hello. I've noticed that my posts in the community activity partner section keep getting flagged for removal, even though I see similar posts from others that remain active. Initially, my post was up for several months without any issues, but in the last four attempts, it's been removed within hours of posting. This situation has led me to feel targeted, although I've had only friendly interactions through email and have never met anyone from my posts in person. It's challenging to explain all this through text, so I'd appreciate speaking with someone about it. I simply want to prevent further flagging of my legitimate post as I'm just looking to make friends in a city where I feel quite alone. I have included links to my flagged posts and my associated email is [redacted] Thank you.

Hello, I have been experiencing an issue with my posts in the community activity partner section. Despite my efforts to word them carefully, they keep getting flagged for removal. Interestingly, many similar posts seem to remain unaffected. Initially, my post was visible for a few months without any problems. However, in the last four attempts, it has been taken down within hours of posting. This pattern makes me suspect that someone might be intentionally targeting my posts. I have always maintained a friendly and respectful tone in my emails, even though I have not met anyone from these posts before. I would like to discuss this matter with a representative as I find it challenging to convey my concerns through text. I hope to prevent further flagging of my legitimate posts and simply want to connect with others to make friends since I feel quite isolated here in Vancouver. I believe there is nothing inappropriate in my posts. Below are the links to the flagged posts: [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] My associated email is [redacted] Thank you.

There are animals being sold on Craigslist in Chicago and other cities, and this should be monitored daily as it violates the rules. The re-homing of animals with fees should also be monitored as it seems suspicious when a whole litter of puppies is listed as ready for adoption. It is important to have a process to approve pet postings to prevent dishonest sales. Animals offered for free should be discouraged due to the potential risks they face. It is crucial to stop these practices as they go against the rules and put live creatures in harm's way. Implementing keywords in the code to filter out such posts could be a solution, but human monitoring is necessary to catch any that slip through. It is essential to ensure that Craigslist is a safe platform for re-homing animals and to prevent prohibited postings and free offers. Let's work together to find these animals loving homes and protect them from harm. Thank you. - Sheryl

I received an email from someone interested in buying my Demarini CF8 Baseball bat. They wanted to pay with a check and provided a phone number from Florida, which seemed suspicious. After looking up the name online, I found warnings about a scam using the same name. The initial message asked me to contact their wife at [redacted] Subsequently, they mentioned being unable to meet in person and proposed mailing a check instead. I am aware of the scam where the check turns out to be fraudulent after you've sent the item, leaving you responsible for the funds. I wanted to share this for others to be cautious.

There is an individual named Shawn James who published a listing for a [redacted] Chevy Trailblazer with post # [redacted]. I engaged in a two-hour text conversation with him last night inquiring about the vehicle's condition. Despite explicitly asking if the car had a clean title, Shawn failed to disclose that it actually has a salvage title. Upon further research, I discovered he had a similar post on Facebook, where he admitted to the salvage title and mentioned owning a body shop in Granger, IA. He acknowledged fixing the vehicle after a driver's side wreck with his business partner, who collectively possess 30 years of experience in body work and painting. After confronting him about the dishonesty and threatening to report him, he modified the title in the advertisement to reflect the salvage status. It is important to highlight his lack of transparency to prevent others from falling victim to his deceptive practices. I urge the forum moderators to remove his posting privileges. Thank you, Rob A.

I am encountering an issue with Craigslist where three of my ads have been reposted despite being deleted years ago. I reached out to a seller to schedule a viewing of a trailer. They claimed it had been moved out of state due to deployment. They suggested using eBay Motors for the transaction. Despite free delivery, they requested $[redacted] in eBay cards. Subsequently, they asked for an additional $[redacted], promising a refund upon delivery. At this point, I refused and demanded a refund or the trailer, but received neither. I reported this to the Internet Crime Complaint Center and twice to eBay, but have not received any response. Please reach out to me urgently at [redacted]. The seller has reposted the same trailer from a new location.

I have been using Craigslist for many years without any issues. Recently, I tried to post an ad but didn’t receive any responses. When I attempted to create an account, I was informed that my email address was not found in the system. I recall changing my email a year ago and not using Craigslist for two years. I need to create a new account to find a roommate, but I cannot locate an option to do so. I rely on Craigslist to find roommates, and with my current one leaving, I urgently need to post an ad. If there is a way to create a new account, I would appreciate guidance on how to do so. This process is becoming time-consuming, and I would like assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you for your help.

There is a concerning phishing scam circulating on Craigslist targeting individuals with offers of focus groups and earning opportunities. One specific post impersonates UCLA, promoting a research study involving alcohol and health. Beware of providing personal information on similar sites linked by the same poster, including .tk, .ml, .cf, .ga, and .gq domains. These sites often violate copyright laws and pose a risk to your personal data. It's crucial to remain cautious and avoid engaging with such suspicious links. Please take necessary precautions and be mindful of potential scams when browsing Craigslist or similar platforms.

On November 11, [redacted], I hired a handyman to install a ceiling fan, which was completed successfully. During the installation, the handyman had to remove a ceiling light that was placed on the bed. Later that night, I discovered the light fixture missing despite thorough searches around the house and garage. With only a student and myself residing in the home, I contacted the handyman three times regarding the missing fixture but received delayed responses. The handyman mentioned seeing the fixture on the bed and promised to inquire with his partner but never followed up. I suspect the light fixture, which holds significant value, may have been taken from my home without consent, possibly stolen. The Craigslist ad number related to this incident is [redacted], and the handyman is known as Adam at [redacted]. I'm sharing this experience to highlight the issue and prevent others from facing a similar situation. Thank you for your assistance.

I would like to address the numerous ads being posted in the moving/labor section of Craigslist in Des Moines, Iowa. The individual responsible is posting around 15 to 20 ads daily, decreasing from about 30 ads per week. They advertise under "moving/labor." I operate under One Man Moving but struggle to earn even $[redacted] most days. I suspect they may not be legitimate if they are only paying $5 per ad. I kindly request that someone investigate this matter. I am experiencing email issues, so please reach me via text or call. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. - Bob J. at [redacted]

I believe I might be falling for a scam related to an ad I posted on 11/17/[redacted]. I'm concerned about the emails I've exchanged with a potential buyer who claims to be in the US Marine. They want to purchase my kayak using a certified check and have someone pick it up. They're even willing to add extra money for me to hold the item. However, their request to transfer funds to the shipper sounds suspicious. I sense something is not right and will not be responding to them any further. Here are the details of our correspondence for reference.

Dear Customer Service, I am reaching out regarding a situation with a ticket purchase. I was in contact with a person with disabilities and agreed to sell them tickets.
