Something has changed in your front end at the Mount Laurel, NJ store. Over the last few weeks, your cashier service is very poor.*There are few requirements for a cashier...greet, be efficient and say thank you. I work in retail, so I know it’s difficult to find good people. I have not had any service issues up until recently, so I feel as a loyal customer, I should share my experience.*Tonight, ********, at *:**pm, I was in line at Ann’s register. Older woman, maybe late **s, early **s. She was having a conversation with another employee who should have been unloading carts and helping. Didn’t get his name, he’s tall, large guy, in his **s.*Ann did not greet any customer, before me, me, nor the person after me. It was more important for her to complain about being sent on break at *:**, about not getting her requested day off, and how she hoped to be called into the office, “because that is so fun”. She stopped ringing my items so she can talk to her coworker about how unappreciated they are. He also said that he loved getting called into the office.*I get to stand there, in the humidity and hope to get home, but have to listen to this nonsense, and be delayed. She finally finished the transaction and hands me the receipt. No thank you, absolutely no acknowledgment of customer.*She is clearly a problem employee, she was very clear in her conversation how she gets called to the office. *I don’t expect cashiers to be “professional”, but they are to be customer centric.*Your cashiers are your last opportunity to make or break a customer’s experience.*Thankfully, I love your store. If I didn’t, I would not return. As I stated, something has changed in this store with how your front end treats the customers. I hope you address this.
