I am snowbird, bought hearing aid in Florida *******. Wore for * weeks, then went to NJ. End of April, hearing aid was dead, could not get service appointment in Wayne, NJ for * month. then when I went the woman at the desk, removed some wax, said computer program was fine and that was end of visit. Two weeks later, hearing was dead again, this time I did not call but went there. The woman at the desk advised me to call Clifton,NJ which is *** hr away or Sparta or Wharton , both of which are well over * hr away. I asked her if I want a refund, could she do it. She answered, you have to return it where you bought it. I said since it was Florida that was not happening. I drove over to Clifton, the woman at the desk changed the dome and vacuumed out the wax. I made an appointment with an audiologist at a hearing center. The audiologist said the Costco dome for my ear was too large and any computer program must be refined for the individual. Today, I went back to Wayne Costco to get a refund. The woman at the desk did not know how do it. The technician said I needed to make an appointment, she had to fill out paperwork for a refund. The next appointment would be in * weeks. I went to Clifton, the woman at the desk filled out the paperwork in * minutes, then went to the refund desk, where I got my refund. I don't want anything as I received my refund, just wanted Costco to know how bad servicing is for a hearing aid and dreadful the Wayne Costco Hearing Aid center is.
