On July * **** I called Customer Service to inform Consumer Cellular that Ibwas traveling abroad on July * on an extended trip. As in the past, I wanted Consumer Cellular to turn off my data service and bill me only the minimum for talk minutes just to maintain my service. While at the Airport on July *nd, I I tried to call Consumer Cellular to confirm the requested service change but was kept on hold for so long that my flight departed before I had a chance to speak to anyone.*Upon arrival overseas, I asked my wife back home in the USA to contact Consumer Cellular to confirm my arrangement but she was told that as she was not listed on my account, she could not speak for me.*I just checked my bills and was surprised and disappointed that Consumer Celluar did not respect my requested change and has continued to bill me at the full rate. I am still abroad and would like a retroactive adjustment of my bill to reflect the change I requested on July *. *Regrettably, it takes a terribly long time to reach a Customer Service representative at Consumer Cellular, otherwise I would have made an international call to address this matter directly. I trust nevertheless that my request is clearly stated and understood and that Consumer Cellular will provide me with the appropriate refund after adjusting my July bill.*Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
