I was asking comcast to pay part of the repairs to some underground gutter drains. It appears that laying of cable broke the pipes before I moved into the house in ****. ... No response on ticket **********. I moved into my house ** years ago (****). The underground gutter drain to the street never worked. I had a contractor repair the underground piping on **********. The attached pictures suggest that the pipe was broken when the underground coax cable was run. I am asking Comcast to pay for part of the repair of the pipes. The total repair cost was *$*,***. This included scoping*marking pipes, evacuation, the repair, and refilling the hole. **I emailed three pictures to Comcast. The orientation of the pictures: Left is toward my neighbors house, right is toward the drain into the street, distance from the hole to the street is approx **ft. There is obvious settling of the pipe from the street post break. **I would appreciate a call back.
The primary reason for the denial was because I had underground gutter drains on the other side of the house and driveway repaired earlier in the year. I did not contact comcast about that repair because there are no cables there and the cause was a tree planted directly over the pipe next to the house. I just happened to mention the previous repair when Comcast come out to look at the repair I had contacted them about. Interesting they used a repair not related to the issue to deny. This leads me to believe that this was just an attempt to avoid any responsibility.
As far as Comcast is concerned the issue is resolved. For me, not really surprised this is how they handled the issue given their customer service reputation. Having said that the follow up, once they responded, was very good. It is the basis of the denial and the initial lack of response that appears shady.
I always pay my bills, have been for *** years.
Nope.
