I went to a boost mobile store with the intention of purchasing xfinity WiFi hotspot service (my wifi scan says "xfinity" so this is what I asked for. The agent ended up telling me that Xfinity on demand, which I thought included the hotspot pass. The Xfinity site seems to imply that this is included, but the android app says it's not included in my service level. **Three days later I get an email saying that my on demand gateway device is "found" and to continue registration and setup. But this is not true! The DS light is still flashing, so how could it be found? It's plugged into the wall cable outlet, but there's no connection to the internet. The website "troubleshooting guide" just assumes that the gateway works and that the cable is live * no link and no one to call if not. Nothing but circular links to dead ends.**I feel ripped off since the gateway box is nonrefundable and nonreturnable, doesn't connect, and doesn't include wifi hotspot service. Comcast Xfinity has really dropped the ball.**I was planning to write a blog article on what an elegant solution Xfinity WiFi would be, but now it's going to be about what a disaster it was to choose it.
