The issue in GetHuman-klsolomo's own words
Remote Access - internal static IP - port forwarding ... My client's ISP is Comcast. Recently, I had them set up port forwarding rules to access a device remotely, since I am unable to access the router directly, and I am still unable to access this device. **The device*system is patched directly to the modem and has an internal static IP address assigned. The port forwarding rules that were put in place assigned port ** for TCP with the internal IP address and MAC address of the device, and port ***** for UDP with the internal IP address and MAC address for the device. The ports have been verified to be open. However, the external IP address:port still does not gain access. **I believe that there is some breakdown of communication between the external and internal addresses regarding the NAT as the device is functioning appropriately on the LAN.**Please advise.
external IP*ports assignment for access.
