I recently discovered that my account was auto-renewed without my knowledge, deducting $72.00 from my PayPal account on 4/7. I was unaware of this renewal, as I only used Classmates briefly about two years ago, no more than a dozen times. I have not used the platform since then. Despite emailing for a refund, I only received instructions on how to cancel auto-renewal. Since I have not utilized the service for over a year, I am requesting a full refund. Thank you. - Cheryl Grimaldi

I am Jeannette Stanzi. I have a classmates.com account that I have not used in months. I believed I had disabled automatic renewal since I was not actively using the app to reconnect with friends and classmates. Recently, I was billed for a subscription period I did not intend to utilize, and I received misleading emails implying non-payment for my account, prompting me to restart the fee-based service. I wish to request a refund for the current subscription as I have not used the platform and do not plan to do so during this period. Approval of this refund would enhance my opinion of the site, possibly leading me to offer a positive review or recommend it to others. While I acknowledge the value of the site, I have not engaged with it and have no intentions to do so during the upcoming subscription term.

My name is J. Stanzi, and I had an account with classmates.com. I believed I had canceled the automatic renewal, but I was charged today for a continuing subscription. I have not used the service for months and do not intend to use it in the period I just paid for. I did not authorize this month's charge and attempted to cancel the automatic renewal previously, which I thought was successful. Misleading emails implied I wasn't paying and could restart the service if desired. I am requesting a refund and would appreciate it to be processed. I'd consider recommending and positively reviewing the site if I receive the refund I am entitled to.

On May 20th at 8:22 am, I was charged for a yearly subscription on classmates.com. I am positive I had canceled my paid subscription, as I recall accessing the cancellation section on the website previously. I haven't visited the site in over a year and have not reconnected with any high school classmates during my membership period. Given my current financial situation due to Covid-19 and lack of employment since March, the money taken from my PayPal account by Classmates was meant for necessities like food and phone expenses. I do not remember switching payment method from credit card to PayPal and would prefer to have a free account or no account at all. I am seeking a cancellation of the subscription and a refund of the unauthorized $48. Thank you, J. Albertelli.

Last night, I paid $36 for a 2-year subscription to reconnect with former classmates and used my credit card for payment. However, I encountered some issues once I started using the service. Firstly, there was mention of needing an upgrade for certain services, which was unexpected. Secondly, I do not require a yearbook as I already have a copy from [redacted]. Thirdly, I do not wish to have an automatic renewal due to my age and potential difficulties for my relatives if needed to cancel. When attempting to sign in with the password "Redskin57" as requested by classmates, I was informed it was invalid. I had hoped to enjoy using Classmates but it has become a hassle. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide, otherwise, I may need to contact my credit card company to cancel the order. Thank you. - James M.

My membership is registered under the name Kurtiss (or Kurt) Jacobs, likely under [redacted] or possibly under [redacted] I paid $20 for a one-year membership over 11 years ago. At some point, the membership switched to auto-renew, possibly without my knowledge. I received emails offering a lifetime membership for $20 in previous years. Today, my wife informed me that we were charged $48 for another renewal. This situation seems unreasonable. Why wasn't one of my numerous $20 payments applied to the $20 lifetime fee, making me a permanent member? Please cancel my membership, refund the most recent $48 charge, and discontinue any future billing. Thank you. P.S. To ensure I receive your response, please use my work email provided below.

I have encountered an issue with accessing Classmates.com for over a year now. Today, I attempted to resolve the problem by updating my credit card's expiration date. However, I encountered difficulties as the system did not allow me to modify the month or year in the dropdown menus. Even after deleting the card information and attempting to re-enter it, I was unable to update the expiration date successfully. Furthermore, when entering my country as the United States, the system kept defaulting to Afghanistan, where I am not located. Interestingly, the dropdown menus for selecting the year and month only appeared next to "Afghanistan." I would appreciate guidance on how to proceed with updating my credit card details.

My spouse and I both have Classmates Canada free accounts. Surprisingly, we saw an unauthorized charge of $68 CDN on our recent credit card bill, which we never approved. We couldn't find a way to contact you directly on your website, which is frustrating. We've already informed our credit card company and they will refund the amount. It's disappointing how difficult it is to reach you. Many former classmates have faced the same problem. This lack of transparency is concerning, and I might have to escalate this to a fraud claim if necessary. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.

I have encountered many issues trying to log into my Classmates Account. Despite numerous attempts, the system repeatedly rejects my login information. I've tried resetting my password multiple times without success. After reaching out to your customer service, my problem was escalated to the technical team, but I never received a response. I demand an immediate cancellation of my membership and a prompt refund. The recurring login problem has caused significant frustration, and I wish to discontinue my subscription immediately. I prefer not to receive any future expiration notifications and want my money refunded to the credit card on file. If I do not receive a resolution within a week, I will escalate my complaint to the Fair Trade Commission and share my experience on social media. The ongoing technical issues have hindered my desire to reconnect with old classmates. I will seek alternate ways to achieve this. My correct information is as follows: Sally N. Gann, email: [redacted] Please update your records accordingly.

I was unknowingly enrolled in automatic billing after signing up for a free trial with no disclosure. I consider this fraudulent and request my account be canceled. I was charged $62.83 on Sept. 2, [redacted], which I expect to be refunded. Despite being advised by Classmates.com on how to disable auto billing, they failed to address my refund issue. I followed their steps to turn off auto billing and remove my payment information. However, the charge of $62.83 was still unauthorized. Although I received a refund from Classmates.com on Sept. 5, [redacted], they highlighted their no-refund policy. To avoid unwanted charges, I suggest immediately disabling "Auto billing" in your account settings if you use their platform. It is important for users to be aware that by creating an account with Classmates.com, they are automatically enrolled in auto billing. - Mike T.

My account was hacked, and I can't receive a verification code to recover it. I suspect federal involvement since the Clinton administration. They are misrepresenting me in my hometown and involved in illegal activities like human trafficking. They implanted a tracking device on me similar to a pet GPS chip. This chip is allegedly associated with President Trump. The account in question is under [redacted] I've been unable to access it for a few days. I've been warning my classmates about this conspiracy. You can reach me at [redacted]. My first name is Darrell, but my classmates know me as Darwin. I prefer to change my account login to [redacted] I attended Johns Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas, and graduated in [redacted].

I wasn't aware of the automatic renewal when I subscribed to classmates.com three months ago. I recently noticed an $18 charge on my credit card for the renewal on 10/4. I did not intend to renew my subscription automatically. Kindly refund the $18 to my card. I have disabled the automatic renewal feature as I believe this should be a choice made explicit to customers, and I did not receive any notification about the renewal via email.

I realized someone withdrew money from my account after some time, prompting me to reach out now. Classmates.com, you obtained my updated debit card number without my knowledge. I received a new card number solely for paying the membership fee with you. I had no plans to renew any services with your company as I ceased using Classmates.com entirely upon learning about the canceled class reunion. Due to having a new card number not on file with your company, I believe you fraudulently charged my account. This incident significantly impacted me financially as I operate on a tight budget. It left me unable to cover my expenses and lacking funds for the remainder of the month. It seems like you only prioritize acquiring money from customers without considering their circumstances. I want to make it clear that I wish to sever all ties with Classmates.com and take necessary measures to prevent any future unauthorized charges. I struggled to find a way to close my account on your platform, hence my communication through this forum. My frustration over this situation is evident, and I want a prompt removal from your company's database. Dana Lee Conover

I can't remember my exact enrollment date for Classmates, but I definitely signed up for the annual plan at $24.99. Despite the website stating this was a yearly subscription, whenever I checked for who had viewed my profile, their pictures appeared blurry. I assumed my subscription granted me full access to the site, which doesn't seem to be the case. While I can't pinpoint when I first joined, I am certain it hasn't been a year yet. If there is a mistake on my end, please reach out to clarify any misunderstandings. I am willing to renew my subscription if necessary. Hoping to receive a prompt response from your team.

Hi there, I am writing to inquire about the possibility of receiving a refund for an overdraft fee of $38.50 that was charged during my recent payment. This occurred as a result of a paycheck error that caused an interruption in my account balance. To prevent further transactions from being declined, I have temporarily suspended my account. It would be greatly appreciated if the refund could be processed to my PayPal account. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Regards, Kenneth F.

I believe there are improvements needed on your website. The current layout is confusing with too many logins and lacks sufficient information. It would greatly benefit from a simplified and organized design for each function. Users should be able to log in once with their email and password, and then easily navigate step by step instructions to access all the necessary information. The site's navigation should be clearer, avoiding repeated login prompts and unnecessary steps. It appears there are several complaints from users, and it would be wise to address these issues promptly. Personally, I may not renew my membership if there are no simpler methods implemented to access the information I am paying for.

I did not set up that account under the name Tabitha. Eileen, it was not me who created this account. I graduated in [redacted], not [redacted]. I have evidence of this mistake and I am considering taking legal action against the person who impersonated me.

I need assistance with a refund issue regarding a Classmates.com charge on my husband's Visa ending in [redacted]. After contacting customer service and approving the correction, the membership was supposed to be canceled, and fees refunded. However, a second charge was made, causing a gift payment for our son to be declined. Please review the account, reimburse any charges from the last three months, and proceed with canceling the subscription. Denise M.
