I was charged twice on my credit card for a luggage fee by SAS airlines. They ignored my request for a refund. So with full documentation I appealed to CITI card which I had held for ** years. I am ** years old and have NEVER missed a payment or been late. That should have been a wake up call to Citi that something was amiss. *The appeal was dismissed by Citi so I cancelled the card. I refuse to pay for an error on the part of the airline. It is not that I can’t pay, it is that I won’t pay. The charges were unjust. After numerous phone calls demanding payment, Citi reported the charges plus ** days worth of late charges to TransUnion.**My credit rating which has never been below *** dropped to ***. I appealed to TransUnion with the same documentation I had sent to SAS and Citi Card. TransUnion upheld my appeal and dropped the account report from Citi, but still the late charges and being ** days past due in on my record. **I was right not to pay that bill. Both SAS and CITI did nothing to investigate my claim. My request is for Citi to seriously research the charges and when they realize the luggage charges are bogus charge off my closed account including late charges and clearing my name by submitting a new report to credit agencies.
