*. When we were looking for replacement to our Chevy Suburban we visited Johnson Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealer in Meridian, MS. We had narrowed our choice to a Toyota * Runner or a Jeep Patriot. Johnson dealer offered to value our Suburban. They then refused to give us back our keys saying that since we were buying the Jeep they would just keep the keys. I had to threaten to call the Sheriff before they would return our keys. We brought a **** Jeep Patriot from the West Point MS Jeep dealer in February ****. West Point dealer offered double the money for the Suburban and the price for the same equipped Jeep was $*,*** lower than Johnson.***. In November the horn quit working on the Jeep. Johnson Jeep dealer refused to fix since we did not buy the Jeep there. In January I took the Jeep to Griffis Dodge Jeep in Philadelphia, MS* they ordered a new horn with no questions or hassles. The horn had to be ordered direct from maker and then was backordered. The horn arrived in March.***. March ** the jeep would not start when we were at the children's eye doctor. Our insurance sent road side assistance, who tested the battery first thing. He found the battery was very weak and needed to be replaced. He got the Jeep running and we went to first place that sold batteries - Firestone Dealer, Meridian, MS. Firestone also tested the battery with same results as the road side assistance man. We purchased a new battery right there because we did not know the battery was covered under the Jeep warranty.***. March **, the Jeep would not start again at Wal Mart on MS**N in Meridian, MS. This time I opened the hood and shook the battery cables. My wife and I heard sparking when I shook the cables and the kids in the Jeep yelled that the lights and radio were now working. I ran around and started the Jeep. I took the family home and then went straight into Johnson Jeep service department without shutting off the Jeep. The first thing the service writer asked was where did we buy the Jeep. I told him that did not matter since the Jeep was under warranty and it needed to be fixed. He said they would look at it and asked me to leave the area. They never moved the Jeep from where I left it (I could see it from where I waited). An hour later they brought the Jeep to me saying there was nothing wrong and it must be the dead horn that caused the problems.***. March **, I took the Jeep to Griffis Jeep in Philadelphia, MS since they had called to say the new horn was in. I told them of all the above and they agreed to look for the problem. ** minutes later they told me the horn was replaced and working. They also told me the problems of the last two days was because the line from the battery to the fuse box had come loose and that they did not understand how I was able to drive the Jeep at all since the line so loose.**All the problems with the Jeep are now fixed thanks to Griffis Jeep of Philadelphia, MS and this is my formal complaint against Johnson Jeep of Meridian, MS. for all of the above actions by them. I will never go to Johnson Jeep for any service or to purchase any products that they carry.
