I, Mattie POLK-Fogg, took my car in for a repair at Milton Reuben Cheverolet in November ****. I told the guy named Gabriel who took me in that I was told by another company it was the rack and penion. He told me that he would have his mechanics check it out. Therefore, the courtesy car took me home. I got a call from Gabriel stating the problem was the oil gasket pan leaking. I trusted him for it was the Cheverolet company that I really trusted. I took the car home, the car was still leaking. I took the car back, went home, Gabriel called me stating that it was my rack and penion. I told him that I told him that initially. Then he said “well, I won’t charge you for various items that I cannot remember, however, this would cost you $*,***.**.” I told him I was not paying that for I called to the service department before I took it there the first time and was told by someone in the service department it cost would be $***.** plus for rack and penion. I had already paid the company $***.** plus for the oil gasket leak. Then I went to the dealer to speak with the service manager named Alex. I told him the situation that I was not paying that kind of money. He asked me would I be willing to pay $***.**, I said yes. I got a ride home, I was without transportation for several days. I asked Gabriel if I could have a car to drive then he wanted to let me some little dinky car, I said “No.” I got a ride home and my car is still leaking. I called back to speak with Alex, told him the car was still leaking, he said” the new parts were probably too heavy for the old parts. That didn’t sound logical to me. He told me to bring it back, for I have a sick family member and too upset to be given the run around. I was thinking about getting an Equinox. That has changed. Please, help me.
