Uber and Checkr are using my old invalid Kentucky license instead of my current valid Tennessee license for my background check. When I moved to Tennessee from Kentucky, I obtained a new Tennessee license as required by law. I have provided both Uber and Checkr with copies of my old Kentucky license, as well as my current and valid Tennessee license along with my driver's history. I have been driving with Uber using my Tennessee license for over a year without any issues, but when they conducted an updated background check in November [redacted], they used my outdated Kentucky license. This same issue happened in [redacted] but was resolved, and now it has resurfaced. Interestingly, Uber Eats, GrubHub, and Postmates had no problems clearing my background check, but Uber Driver seems to consistently have issues.

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Heidbrink, and I recently applied to work as a Dasher. I'm currently unemployed but seeking work as a Medical Assistant. Following an unfortunate incident in which I was pulled over near my residence, I took care of all related fines, fees, and reinstated my license. As a result of this, I now have SR22 insurance through Progressive. This incident occurred 2-3 years ago, and since then, I have had no further issues with my driving record being in good standing. I am reaching out to request a reconsideration of my application status, as I believe I meet all the necessary requirements for the position. I have a valid Florida driver's license and current insurance coverage. I have tried to contact both the company and Doordash via email but am unsure if my messages were received. I recently applied for a driver position at DoorDash. However, my background check flagged an old incident where I was caught driving on a suspended license without insurance, a situation that occurred two to three years ago. I have since addressed this issue by obtaining SR22 insurance, attending court, and settling all fines and obligations. I am perplexed as to why this past infraction is now affecting my job application. I have attempted to contact both Checkr and DoorDash for an explanation, but have not received a response. My driver's license was suspended on June 3, [redacted], due to an unpaid citation for talking on the phone while driving. It was reinstated on the first business day, Monday the 7th. I promptly uploaded the necessary court documents and my motor vehicle record from the DMV to Checkr and Uber. I am currently waiting for their investigation, which may take up to 30 days. I believe this situation is unjust and unlawful, as it hinders us from working due to their reporting errors. If you are in a similar situation and believe it is unfair, please reach out to me directly at [redacted] Let's consider filing a class-action lawsuit against Checkr. About a year ago, I applied to DoorDash without owning a vehicle, which led to a denial. Recently, my application was approved, and I even received my card. However, the next day, my status changed to pending a background check. Unfortunately, they are unable to process the check as they still have my outdated one on file. The background check service I contacted states they do not retain checks older than six months. Despite explaining this several times to DoorDash through calls and emails, they directed me to reach out to Checkr. I even sent Checkr my old background check and a screenshot from the website illustrating the lack of availability due to its age.

I am seeking to join DoorDash, and I have completed the background check with Checkr. However, my account shows as "suspended" because Checkr requires additional information from me. After receiving an email from Checkr requesting more details, I followed the link provided and entered my social security number. Unfortunately, an automatic notification informed me that my social security number was incorrect and advised me to contact Checkr support. Despite sending two emails and attempting to call, I have not received any assistance, and I am stuck in a cycle. I am a fully insured driver with a reliable vehicle, and my driving and legal record is clean. I am eager to provide any necessary information to progress with the application, but I am currently unable to resolve the "suspended" status as the provided link only leads to an error message.

My background check with Uber, which I've been a driver for over 6 years, got stuck without my driver's license info sent by them to Checkr. It's been delayed for a week, causing me significant financial losses. Despite submitting my license info to Checkr through their help page, no progress has been made. Uber insists I respond to Checkr's email, which I never received. Their support apologies and reassurances of my Platinum status aren't helping. Simultaneously, Checkr is conducting a background check for Lyft, where I intend to resume driving after a year, and it appears to be pending and due today.

My name is Aida Roman. I have been working as a delivery driver with DoorDash for the past four months. Over the last six years, I have also worked for other delivery companies like Postmates, Deliv, Uber Eats, and Instacart. Despite receiving tickets in the past, I have always paid them promptly. I have contacted the Department of Motor Vehicles to understand why I am being denied the opportunity to work with other companies. Even though my driving record has no suspensions or DWIs, I am currently unable to activate my replacement red card with DoorDash due to a hold on my background check. I have been driving for over 20 years without any issues, especially in the busy NYC traffic. Unfortunately, disputing tickets is time-consuming, so I typically opt to pay them to avoid losing a day of work in court. I kindly request assistance in activating my red card so I can continue working with DoorDash, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic which allows for contactless delivery. Your help is greatly appreciated as I enjoy working as a delivery driver.

My background check results have cleared successfully! I have a printable or viewable version to present to the company. However, the company insists on receiving the report directly from Checkr for onboarding onto their platform. They have informed me that they sent an Escalation Email to a specific department but have not heard back even after almost 6 weeks of waiting. Despite Checkr clearing the check on the 13th of this month, there has been no response to the company for clearance. I am now stuck in limbo and seeking immediate assistance from Checkr to expedite the process of getting the report to the company for onboarding. Is there Live 24/7 Support or an equivalent service available to help speed up this process and facilitate a quick onboarding? I look forward to resolving this matter promptly so I can start working with the company. Thank you.

Regarding my consumer report from Checkr, I recently obtained my CDL license in Wisconsin, where I took the driving test using an Automatic Transmission Semi-truck. Consequently, I am restricted to driving only automatic transmission vehicles for commercial purposes, not manual transmission. This restriction does not apply to my personal driver's license, allowing me to operate both types of transmissions for personal or rental vehicles. I hope to clarify that my CDL license enhances my driving credentials and should not be viewed as a hindrance. I am capable of driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. I kindly request that you consider this information for my background check approval, as every day I am unable to drive for Uber results in lost income for both parties. Sincerely, A.A.

I am attempting to join Lyft. They have approved all my necessary documents and are waiting for my background check to clear. They provided a link for me to check the status of my background check through Chekr. Upon checking, one screen displayed a clear background check, but then an alert claimed my social security number was invalid. This is perplexing as I have used the same number for previous background checks without any problems. I am frustrated by this situation as driving for Lyft could greatly benefit my financial future due to limited employment options caused by physical limitations. I am eager to resolve this issue promptly.

To Whom It May Concern, I am Tyler Wynn, and I recently underwent an approved background check with Checkr. I received an email with the following statement attached: "Hi Tyler Wynn Christopher, Your background check for Uber Eats is now complete. We’ve attached a copy for your records. You can also view your report on Checkr’s Candidate Portal. Uber Eats has access to your report and will notify you of next steps if any. If you have questions about your application or eligibility, please contact Uber Eats directly. A Summary of Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act is attached and can also be found at consumerfinance.gov. Checkr will have no further updates available for you, as your background check is now complete. Please see Checkr's Candidate Help Center for answers to frequently asked questions. Thanks, Checkr Team." However, despite this, when I log into my Checkr Candidate portal, it indicates that my background check with Checkr was not completed. It was delayed from 10/04/21 to 10/14/21. When I reach out to Uber Support, I receive an automated message stating that Checkr is still in the process of approving my background check, even though I have a copy of my completed background check directly from Checkr. It seems that both companies are not acknowledging my approval to drive and deliver for Uber Eats. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Recently, I applied to drive for DoorDash but was rejected due to something on my record from five years ago. DoorDash support advised me to reach out to Checkr to understand how to address the adverse action rejection. They mentioned that I needed to provide a motor vehicle report to confirm that my car is suitable for the role. I have also applied to Uber and am awaiting their response. I have now obtained an inspection sheet for DoorDash, as I had my vehicle inspected last Monday, certifying it is in excellent condition. I signed up for a free background check, but Checkr charged my account three times without permission. Please refund the money and cancel my account immediately. If not resolved today, I will contact the Better Business Bureau and share my experience on social media to warn others against using Checkr. -Brenda K.

I have been driving with Uber for a year and was asked to undergo another background check a month ago. I initiated the process and have been waiting for clearance. Despite multiple calls and video conferences with Uber, I keep getting directed back to Checkr, where the process remains incomplete. I applied to Uber Eats a month ago and completed all the necessary steps to start delivering food. My background check documents were approved but not by Checkr, the third-party site handling the background checks for Uber. Uber says the issue lies with Checkr, but I've been unable to contact them to get it resolved. I need assistance in overcoming this obstacle so I can start working.

I have been waiting for my background check with Checkr since November 3rd, which is now over 2 months. It is still pending, and I have not received any updates. I have tried contacting Checkr multiple times in the past month and a half without any success. This delay is preventing me from starting a new job, especially since my unemployment benefits have ended. I have always had quick results with Checkr in the past, but this time is taking much longer than their initial estimation of 3-5 days. I am hoping to get this resolved soon so I can begin working. Any advice on how to expedite this process would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I'm Shawn Lombardi. My date of birth is May 19, [redacted]. I'd like to request a change for my Uber Eats Pro account. I am interested in switching to only picking up food or merchandise orders, rather than transporting people as well. I have been unable to go online to start receiving delivery requests because of my background check, and I believe this restriction is due to the possibility of having passengers in my car. I prefer not to have customers in my vehicle for safety reasons, especially considering recent events. I have experience with 1,[redacted] successful food and merchandise deliveries over two years with Door Dash, maintaining excellent ratings. I have a dashcam installed in my car for security purposes. I am eager to work for Uber Eats in the capacity of picking up food and merchandise only.
