Have the following equipment installed June ****:*outdoor: **HNA***A****indoor: **MVB***F*-***other equipment: CNPVP****ACAAA*P***-**PVC-C*running two zones (upstairs and downstairs)**After service last week the tech recommended that the system be placed in "furnace only" through the winter, basically in order to use the furnace more. A couple of days later during morning "pick up" and at other times I noticed that the blower speed was running up and down then eventually it ran at a steady speed. I called the service tech about the issue and he returned yesterday. After assessing the situation and discussing it with his supervisor they recommended that ECM module needs to be replaced. **Note that this situation has occurred in the past winters when the system is automatically in furnace mode due to low outside temperature.**I wonder about the recommendation because when the system is heating in heat pump mode the blower fan does not exhibit the "run up and down" behavior - it only happens when the system is in furnace mode. Would a problem in the ECM module allow the fan to run differently in the two modes.**What might Carrier recommend?
