I paid over $30 to read and reply to messages, but my account got suspended due to my background check. Despite my past mistakes, I have completely turned my life around since becoming a mother. I never imagined that my past would impact my ability to find a babysitter for one night when I'm out of state with my daughter. I am disappointed as I paid money that is important to us.

I was unexpectedly charged for the upcoming month's daily vitamins and plant protein. I still have the supply from last month and had no intention of renewing my subscription. I did not receive any notification about the upcoming charge, which prevented me from canceling before being billed. Since I have not used any of the new supply yet, as it has not been delivered, I am seeking a refund.

A few days ago, we changed the password for our account linked to the email [redacted] and were successful in accessing the account. However, after logging out and waiting for about an hour before trying to log back in, we encountered issues accessing our account. When attempting to reset the password again, the system indicated that the email was not recognized. We created the account recently, paying $[redacted] for the year, and now we are unable to access it to reach out to potential applicants. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Today, I signed up for care.com. I recently moved to a new place on 11/30 and updated my address, but the city in my profile is incorrect. I need to update the city where I am currently looking for a job. I reached out to my bank, and their agent assisted me in updating my address from the old one to the new one. I am experiencing difficulty with understanding why my background check on care.com is not progressing. Is there an alternative method to have my background verified? Can care.com accept a background check conducted by a company that verifies through social security? I have independently checked my background with another provider, confirming with social security that my record is clean, my identity is secure, my social security number and personal details are accurate. However, care.com has not provided any explanation for the hold-up in processing my background check. All my previous reviews on care.com are positive, and I have successfully undergone background checks before without any complications. I am seeking assistance from someone who can offer meaningful support in this matter.

Over the weekend, I posted a new job but chose not to renew my membership right away. I wanted to first assess the applications received and consider individuals I already know. One applicant caught my attention, prompting me to message her through the site regarding her availability during the holidays before making a payment to access her details from your company. Despite not receiving a response until the following day, I had already filled the position with someone known to us. I observed that the applicant had shared her phone number, although I had not requested it due to my membership status. I aim to confirm that I have not been billed by care.com. Thank you.

I am experiencing frustration with the lack of available assistance. It is essential to have friendly staff, but I cannot reach a person for help when needed. The customer service line is also inefficient. Despite following the instructions to press "1," there was only silence. I made two attempts with no success. This issue has arisen when I need to update my address in my profile while traveling without any current assignments. My concern relates to updating my background check information. As I am away from my permanent address, I wonder if any mail will be sent out and where it should be addressed for prompt receipt.

Hello, I recently joined as a member and discovered that I was automatically upgraded to a premium membership without my knowledge, leading to monthly charges withdrawing funds from my account. As a college student on a tight budget, I did not intend to sign up for a premium membership beyond the initial background check fee. Despite trying to remove my credit card details from the account settings, I am facing difficulties deleting them even after providing the necessary information. I have not actively used the website in the past few months as it did not meet my needs after the first month. Therefore, I kindly request a refund for the unauthorized $80 charge to my account.

I am requesting to cancel my annual membership upgrade charge, receive a refund, and close my account. Despite my efforts to use the website, read the FAQs, post separate jobs, and contact numerous caregivers, I have not been able to find suitable assistance for my family's needs. The job postings have not been approved, and the instructions provided upon rejection have been too generic. As a result, I am dissatisfied and would like to explore other options. I have been attempting to verify my Social Security Number for days without success. Despite accurately filling out all the required information and not making any changes to my personal details, the system continues to deny me access. Today, after numerous failed attempts, it suddenly deemed me ineligible and logged me out. When I tried to log back in, my information was deemed invalid. I then tried to reset my password, only to be told that my email was not associated with an account, even though I had been receiving verification emails throughout the process. Frustrated, I created a new account, but encountered the same issue when trying to verify my Social Security Number once again.

My Care.com profile got canceled after a customer requested my cleaning services and paid in advance. Unfortunately, when I arrived, she didn't let me finish the job because it was a secret from her husband. I cleaned for 2 hours before leaving. I waited for her to contact me for 1-2 months. When she finally did, I was dealing with a personal matter as I had lost my baby and couldn't work those days. I ended up refunding her money through PayPal, but she reported me. I assured her I explained the situation to Care.com to clear up any misunderstandings.

Hello! I've been using my account for over a year without any issues regarding the use of a social security number. Although I understand the new policy requires it, I unfortunately don't possess an SSN. I urgently need to access my account as I have a message from yesterday from someone named Marcia who needs to contact me. I am in the process of creating an online profile to offer caregiving or nanny services. When I agreed to the background check, it was flagged as insufficient. Initially, I suspected it was due to my name change following my marriage in June [redacted], but upon further examination, I believe it may be related to my credit score, which intentionally remains at zero since around [redacted]. My husband and I have followed Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover, which advocates against loans and credit cards. After taking a break from work to focus on personal matters, I am now looking for part-time opportunities to add more purpose to my life. I used care.com to search for a sitter for my daughter. Unfortunately, my experience was not positive. After agreeing on terms with someone, 2 days before they were supposed to start, they decided to increase their hourly rate by $8 more than what we had initially discussed. Moreover, I wasn't aware that the subscription automatically renews monthly, assuming it was a one-time $30 payment since I didn't select the 3 or 12-month plans. Today, the unexpected charge went through, prompting me to immediately cancel the membership. I'm kindly requesting a refund for the $29.00 deducted on 1/13/20, as the account hasn't been active since before Christmas. The current financial situation is challenging, and I would greatly appreciate your assistance with this refund considering the recent transaction. Thank you.

It has been just over ten weeks since my membership was terminated by Care.com. I am unsure of the reasons for this decision as the terms indicate it may be without cause. I kindly request a reconsideration to resume my membership. I used the site daily to search for positions and joined the community forum since its inception. I initially joined in May [redacted] and had successful short-term placements with seven families until July [redacted]. Unfortunately, my most recent family decided to go another direction without much notice. Now, I am seeking new caregiver opportunities. I appreciate the support received and learned from this experience. I've tried other online services, but none compare to care.com in my area.
