Hello everyone! I recently upgraded to a Premium membership on care.com. If you're familiar with the site, you know you can request reviews and connections by sending emails to your former employers, friends, and family. However, a former employer tried twice in the past week to submit a review for me, but it hasn't shown up on my page. I haven't received any alerts from care.com either. Even though the submission message said it was successful, the review hasn't appeared. Another issue is that my other ex-employers haven't received emails from care.com when I asked them to write reviews. I've attempted to reach out to care.com via phone and email, but I haven't had any luck. Hopefully, someone can offer some advice if they've experienced similar problems.

I recently used Care.com to find childcare services. I received an email from a family claiming to be Edith and James Grady, who asked me to cash a $2,[redacted] check for them to buy groceries and pay their landlord. I trusted this because it was through Care.com, but it turned out to be a scam. Now, I am out of the money, and my bank account is at risk. I feel there should be better security measures in place to prevent these incidents. The scammers obtained my email from the website. I am looking to see what can be done to recover my funds. I also had a similar experience with a family named Rebecca and Jack Mark. I can share the email addresses and phone number provided by these families for your reference.

I've been using care.com for over two weeks now, and initially, some of my pictures weren't accepted. They have been approved eventually. However, I have encountered an issue when applying for pet sitting jobs. I've sent several messages to people in my area looking for a pet sitter, but it seems like the messages weren't delivered as there's a clock icon next to the sent time, indicating that they are pending. I haven't received any responses, and I am quite frustrated as I really need a job at the moment. The platform is not helping me in my job search, and it's been challenging.

I made changes to the job description on Care.com from "Caregiver for a toddler" to "Caregiver for a recovering mom in NW DC." The job entails caring for my grandson's mom in DC after her upcoming discharge from the hospital following brain surgery. She will need assistance due to her low weight and the need for IV treatment. I need a responsible adult with experience in caring for the very ill, preferably a CNA or someone with medical training, to help her while I care for her toddler and her husband returns to work. Light housework is expected. If needed, I can provide the text of the rejected job posting. I am looking to hire someone quickly.

I cleaned a large litter box in the basement with 50 pounds of cat feces, disinfected it, and moved it upstairs for easier access. Additionally, I cleaned her kitchen, did 5 loads of laundry, and charged $35. She gave me $50 and was supposed to receive $15 back next time. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to return the $15, and she began calling me while I was caring for Alzheimer's clients, leaving harassing messages and texts. Subsequently, she reported me to care.com over the $15 issue.

I signed up for a one-month service in January, yet I noticed charges on my credit card for February, March, and April, even though my credit card expired during that time. I am requesting a refund as I did not require the additional months. It's clear from my account activity that I have not been utilizing the service. I will need it again in August, but if this is how care.com operates, I will have to look elsewhere. This billing practice seems underhanded and unethical, leading to customer loss. It's disappointing to experience this issue when I used the service without trouble last August. The absence of a phone number for support on these matters is also a concern, making me question the service further. My expectation is higher when it comes to the companies I choose to engage with.

I am facing an ongoing issue that I have previously tried to address with this platform. A review on my profile is inaccurate and unfairly impacts my reputation. The review was left by a past employer after I raised valid concerns about child safety. I firmly believe the information in the review is misleading as it pertains to a critical matter concerning children's safety and well-being. Despite having evidence to prove the unsafe environment, I am unable to provide a rebuttal and request for the review to be taken down. I am concerned that allowing such false allegations to remain on the platform could mislead other users and impact a sitter's rating unfairly. It is disheartening to think that prioritizing the safety of children could result in a negative outcome for caregivers. I urge the platform to address this issue promptly as my previous attempts to seek assistance have been unsuccessful.

Dear Care.com, I am currently trying to complete a form to hire assistance for my father, who is in critical condition at Flagler Hospital, to provide care for him at home right away. However, I am facing issues with filling out the form. In the "Where or When Time" section, the grey boxes do not allow me to input the necessary information. Similarly, under "Job Details," the grey boxes are also not allowing required information to be entered regarding the care recipient and the nature of care needed. Without completing these sections, I am unable to post an ad to hire a hands-on caregiver promptly. There is an urgent need for assistance to help my father move back home by 05/05/[redacted]. Unfortunately, the job description space is limited to [redacted] characters, and I also could not find a contact phone number to reach out to for assistance. I encountered difficulty logging into my account and attempted to switch emails due to being locked out. I had a detailed conversation with the Care.com team regarding a complaint from a parent I worked for through the site. The situation felt unjust as I didn't have a chance to share my perspective. In retrospect, I should have ended the job sooner as the parent showed a lack of respect and had unreasonable expectations. It's disheartening that I've been unable to access the website for years now despite having no prior complaints or criminal record. Believing I was locked out, I tried using a different email to create a new profile, providing accurate personal information.

I recently received multiple emails informing me that my account has been terminated, leaving me in a state of desperation as I urgently need assistance with finding a caregiver for my son. The emails mentioned actions not consistent with my profile, which is puzzling as I do not share my account details and always adhere to guidelines. I am bewildered by the termination as I make sure not to use capital letters excessively. As a single mom who relies on this service, I am emotionally distressed by the situation. Being in law enforcement, I have high security standards, and it is crucial for me to have trustworthy individuals to care for my son during the summer. I had difficulties communicating with a potential caregiver who preferred to communicate outside of the platform, and I am adamant about using care.com for the thorough screening process. I attempted to contact support but was unsuccessful. I implore you to review my account and reconsider the termination, as I have never faced such issues before and greatly depended on your services in the past to find suitable care for my child.

Out of all the nanny sites I have used, Care.com stands out as my favorite. I have connected with numerous amazing families through your platform. Throughout my years of experience, I have learned that every family operates differently, but they all seek someone to love and nurture their child. I have grown attached to every child I have cared for, and after interacting with many families on your site, I've noticed a common issue. Families often sift through 30-40 resumes and conduct numerous interviews before finding a suitable nanny match. The popularity of your website is fantastic, but I believe I have a solution that could streamline the process and help families find the best fit more efficiently. I am confused as to why my Care.com account was suddenly canceled before I was able to use it the second time. I am in need of a housekeeper as I am relocating from [redacted] to [redacted] in San Antonio. I use a post office box for my mail due to past fraud experiences. The PO box, managed by UPS, does not have an official number. I am moving to the [redacted] zip code before selling my current home in [redacted] due to remodeling. My family is dealing with chronic health issues, and I am interested in finding a housekeeper who uses environmentally safe cleaning products. I hope Care.com guidelines do not prevent me from requesting a health-conscious individual. It's essential for us that those around us share similar healthy habits. I am having my sister conduct a background check on me through her company, as I have not done one before. I have a clean record with no arrests or speeding tickets in the past 15 years. I'm very frustrated with my experience on Care.com. As a Premium member, I can't apply for the "apply free" posts. When I try to edit my profile, nothing happens when I click the edit button. The two jobs I've been hired for don't show up on my profile, and I can't change the pay rate. I also want to remove senior care and pet care from my profile, but I don't know how. It's been difficult to get any help from their customer service.

I have been struggling to access my care.com account for almost a week now. The messages won't load, and I can't view any new or previous messages or job postings. My account is still valid as I paid for six months in January or February [redacted]. Despite multiple attempts to contact customer service for live help, I haven't received any assistance. I recently hired a caregiver to look after my two daughters. Despite paying for an Uber to ensure her arrival, I returned home to find the sitter asleep on the sofa. My 9-year-old informed me that she had been caring for her 7-month-old sister as the sitter slept. This negligence puts my children at risk, as the sitter failed to fulfill her duties, leaving them unsupervised. I am deeply concerned about the safety of my children in this situation. I accepted a background check request from a potential employer on my phone. I entered my card info, thinking it was for security reasons. However, it ran a separate check, charged me, and is still pending. Today, I received the background check, but it is inaccurate and I want it removed from my profile as soon as possible. I was not aware it would be made public once processed. Due to the inconvenience and confusion, I believe I should be refunded, as I would only run a background check if an employer required it for hiring purposes.

I informed him on June 4 via care.com message that I have chosen not to hire him and wished him well. I also asked him to refrain from further contact.
