I purchased a [redacted] Nissan Xterra with a clean title from a dealership. However, in [redacted], the Carfax report displayed an accident in Tallahassee, Florida in [redacted] that caused less than $[redacted] in damages, but is incorrectly listed as totaled with no salvage title issued. I possess a regular title for the vehicle. The accident report number is #[redacted]7, handled by the Panama City Police Department, occurring on 12/10/[redacted]. It seems illogical for a thirty thousand dollar truck to be considered totaled for less than a thousand dollars in damage. I am seeking assistance in rectifying this error on Carfax as I am encountering issues trying to trade in the vehicle.

My car was in an accident on September 25, [redacted]. When I got it repaired, the other insurance company conducted a diminished value assessment. They claimed my car had been in a previous accident, but the dealership I purchased it from 7 months ago showed me a report stating no accidents. After contacting the dealership, they reiterated that their report showed no accidents. The insurance company provided me with a diminished value report showing a previous accident based on a Carfax check. I am concerned about potential fraud by the dealership and seek advice on what steps I can take.

I attempted to purchase one Carfax report for $39.99, but immediately after entering my card information, they charged me $99.99. I was not given a chance to confirm my order. I have sent six emails to request a refund as I feel deceived. Despite the lack of response and not receiving the Carfax report, I now just want my full refund of $99.99. Their lack of a phone number to address the issue adds to my frustration. Assistance in resolving this issue would be highly valued.

I purchased a car from a GM dealer with a clean Carfax. Not being able to inspect the tall vehicle at the dealership due to my disability, I only noticed hail damage on the roof after bringing it home. Despite this not being reported, I received an estimate of over $[redacted] for the repairs. The cost is too high for me as a disabled Veteran who already made a significant investment. I've been researching Range Rover Sport models for about 2 years, particularly focusing on those with a third row seat, especially in diesel. After a thorough search, I located two such vehicles in the country; the other one in California has not responded to my inquiry from 2 months ago. I traveled three hours to test drive the car and placed a deposit to gather more information. Despite this, my longtime mechanic advised caution regarding Range Rovers, especially diesel ones, due to reliability issues. These concerns were further exacerbated when I examined the car's maintenance history. The inconsistencies in mileage between services raise red flags for potential underlying issues. The current dealership conducted an inspection but I doubt diagnostic tests were performed. While I'm open to purchasing the vehicle with an extended warranty, lack of access to thorough inspections and warranty limitations pose challenges. Carfax incorrectly listed my airbags as deployed on 11/5/[redacted], a year after my accident. They were not deployed, causing issues when I try to trade in my vehicle. I have confirmed with my insurance company that they have no record of this. This error is affecting my ability to trade my car, which is currently valued at $21,[redacted] according to KBB. However, the salvaged title now shows the value at $7,[redacted] due to this mistake. I urgently need to resolve this issue to clear up my vehicle's history.

The Carfax report I obtained from the car dealership shows a mileage discrepancy. Both Opus Inspection, responsible for the emissions testing, and Express Oil, where the mileage was recorded, have confirmed errors in the mileage recorded. Opus Inspection has contacted Carfax, but there has been no response. Express Oil is requesting a contact at Carfax for correction. Despite multiple attempts through the Carfax website, there has been no response, causing delays in resolving this matter. My fiancé, who owns the vehicle, and I are eager to sell it, so a prompt resolution is essential.

Hamill Tire provided inaccurate mileage information to CarFax. We have a letter from them requesting a correction to show the correct mileage of 20,[redacted] instead of [redacted],[redacted]. They submitted the request on December 16. The VIN number is 19XFA1F82BE001090. CarFax has not updated the information yet, and it's crucial for us as we are managing an Estate and time is of the essence.

On 12/28/19, I attempted to order a single Carfax report for $39.99. However, I was redirected to a screen offering 6 reports for $99.99 when I was about to click purchase. Inadvertently, I selected the option for 6 reports instead of the single report I intended to buy. I am seeking a refund of $99.99 for the accidental purchase and would like to proceed with purchasing just one report for $39.99 as originally planned. I have been a loyal Carfax user for many years and wish to continue using your services. The purchasing process seemed confusing and not very user-friendly, possibly leading customers to unintentionally buy more reports. Despite reaching out multiple times, I have not received a response yet. If this matter remains unresolved, I may need to dispute the charge through my credit card company. The Carfax report displays inaccurate service records at a North Carolina location (Strickland Auto Group Inc) that do not belong to our vehicle, affecting the reported mileage. I got a Carfax report when I bought my car. Recently, the dealership claimed they installed a catalytic converter, spark plugs, water pump, tire sensor, and power window motor. Two months later, when I requested a new Carfax report, it only showed the spark plugs, water pump, tire sensor, and power window motor replacements. The catalytic converter replacement was missing. Is this because it was not actually done or could it be an oversight by Carfax?

Hello, I have contacted your team multiple times regarding my reference #[redacted]0. I am currently in the process of buying a new vehicle. When I purchased my last car 3.5 years ago, the Odometer reading was recorded as 22,[redacted], as verified by the DMV letter I provided. However, it seems there was an error as it was later documented incorrectly. The dealership I am dealing with now claims there's a negative Carfax report due to this issue, which they say can be rectified. Following their instructions, I obtained the necessary letter from the DMV a week ago and sent it to your company. I have yet to receive any response. I purchased my [redacted] Mustang at an auction, assuming it had a Salvage title. Surprisingly, the car's documents indicated a clean title, without any marks. I live in Mexico and had temporarily registered the car there. Now, when trying to fully import it, I face issues due to a "PARTS ONLY" notation on Carfax. I am confident in my repairs using new OEM parts without structural work, only cosmetic fixes. I bought a car in [redacted], and the Carfax report then indicated only a minor rear accident. Recently, when I tried to trade in the car, the dealer found a new entry stating there was structural damage in [redacted]. This information was added to Carfax in January [redacted], affecting the car's trade-in value and my financing terms. I am puzzled as to how this detail was not disclosed earlier, as it significantly impacts the car's worth. If I had known about the structural damage before buying the car, I would not have made the purchase.

Good morning, I have two units that require correction. I work with ADESA Nashville. On 4/18/19, we checked in a vehicle with the mileage of 87,[redacted], but we recently noticed it's 32,[redacted]. I've sent the paperwork to address this error, but it's not updated in your system. Additionally, we sold another unit, and the mileage on the title didn't reflect the actual mileage. We corrected this with the state of KY, and I have a copy of the corrected title. However, this correction is also not reflected in your system. I am seeking assistance with case number [redacted]0 from Carfax. I am currently in the process of disputing an incorrect structural damage report on my leased Toyota Highlander. After the lease ended, the car was returned to Santa Margarita Toyota in California. The dealership's general service manager sent a letter confirming there was no structural damage upon inspection. Despite this, the vehicle was later auctioned off, and someone mistakenly reported structural damage after seeing a scooter lift that had been installed and later removed without causing any damage. I have provided Carfax with pictures showcasing the absence of structural harm caused by the lift installation. I believe the error occurred due to a misunderstanding at the auction, where the modification of interior plastic trim pieces for the lift was misconstrued as structural damage. Carfax representative Blake insists the only way to rectify the report is if the individual who made the error provides a retraction, which I am unable to obtain. The dealership manager's statement attesting to the vehicle's intact structure supports my claim. I recently discovered that my car, a [redacted] Toyota RAV 4 with the VIN 2T3ZF4DV9CW123363, has been reported to have undergone bodywork on June 20, [redacted]. However, I have never been in an accident, so I am perplexed by this information. I am eager to have this issue resolved as promptly as possible. When I purchased my vehicle from Vandergriff Toyota in Arlington, Texas, I would have expected any accidents to be disclosed in the Carfax report.
