I am currently selling my [redacted] Mercury with VIN number 2MEFM75W15X639094 at a dealership. I have owned this car for 13 years, purchasing it back in [redacted] with only 15,[redacted] miles on it. Despite a Carfax report indicating damage to the front and rear, the car remains in excellent condition. In [redacted], 12 years ago, while stopped at a light, my car was gently bumped from behind, causing it to make slight contact with the vehicle in front. After inspecting both the front and rear, there were only minor scratches, which I promptly touched up. The original bumpers are still intact and in great condition. A friend who was present at the time can attest that there was no significant damage, as mentioned in the Carfax report. I kindly request that CarMax correct this misinformation regarding the front and rear damage. Thank you, Dan Bush.

Hello, I am facing an issue with my car's mileage being incorrect on Carfax due to wrong dates on invoices submitted by my mechanic, resulting in a significant loss in the value of my car. Despite efforts to rectify the situation with Dominic from the repair shop, the problem remains unresolved even after waiting for Carfax to update. This has caused me distress and financial loss, impacting my plans to purchase a new vehicle. I have all necessary documentation to prove the correct mileage and dates of repairs. I am considering seeking legal assistance regarding the misinformation affecting me and my vehicle. I urge prompt contact via call or email to address this matter promptly. Thank you, Denise L. In March [redacted], I purchased a new Toyota van from Mark's Toyota in Plover, WI. They handled the paperwork for the title registration which was later received and filed away without a thorough review. Approximately two years later, when considering trading the van at Mark's Toyota, an issue came up. The Carfax report indicated "Not Actual Miles" on the original title, while the State Application Title from the dealership stated "Actual Miles," resulting in a discrepancy. The state rectified the mistake on 07/28/17 by issuing a new title with the correct odometer reading of 39 actual miles. However, the Carfax report still shows "Not Actual Miles," impacting the van's value. I am now looking to sell the van and need this error corrected urgently. Thank you, Melford G.

I attempted to purchase a car, but encountered issues due to discrepancies in my car history report. The report inaccurately listed an accident and airbag replacement, which have never occurred with my vehicle. It appears an error was made by a deputy during an accident report, mistakenly attributing it to my car. After addressing this with the sheriff's office, the information has been corrected. I am seeking guidance on what documentation I should provide to rectify this with your company. It was frustrating to be unable to proceed with the car trade-in process at the dealership due to the misinformation on the Carfax report. Rest assured, the issue has been resolved, and I look forward to your guidance on resolving this matter. Thank you.

In [redacted], there was an incident involving a parked [redacted] Jeep Wrangler Sport during an ice storm in the Birmingham area. The car sustained damage to the driver's side rear quarter panel, nerf bar, and rear control arm. Despite being initially labeled as structural damage by the police officer, the body shop confirmed no structural damage occurred. The control arm was repaired by the dealer, but their records only cover three years, making it challenging to obtain their report. I am reaching out to request that the Carfax report be updated to reflect this as a minor accident rather than a major one with structural damage. Feel free to reach out to discuss this further. Thank you for your assistance.

I own a Clubman with 30K miles and I'm planning to use the money from a fair market value to purchase a [redacted] Bentley Arnage T. I'm interested in financing the remaining amount over 5 years at 4% as mentioned in the advertisement. You can contact me at [redacted]. Thank you.

I discovered an error on my Carfax report for my Acura MDX. There was a theft reported, but the car was quickly recovered undamaged, and no charges were pressed. This incident is impacting the value of my car when I try to lease a new one, so I'm seeking guidance on how to have this information removed from the report. Here is the VIN for my vehicle: 5FRYD4H5XHB013798. Your help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Name: Jerald P.

Subject: Carfax Report Discrepancies Dear Carfax Team, I am writing to address several discrepancies in my recent report, associated with Confirmation# C1HNRTOJB1PFJZ. Firstly, I only requested one report, but received six. Additionally, the report falsely states that my airbag deployed. According to the Caliber Collision report, this is incorrect. Furthermore, the last reported odometer reading of 16,[redacted] miles is inaccurate. Currently, my car has only 15,[redacted] miles, with 14,[redacted] miles at the time of the accident. Lastly, the report mentions that my car was towed from the accident site, when I actually drove it home with permission from the sheriff's deputies. I kindly request that these errors be corrected in my report, including clarification on the charges incurred. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Volley H. Hello team, I bought a Honda Civic [redacted] EX in March [redacted] after checking the CARFAX and AUTOCHECK reports, which showed no accidents or damage up to that date. However, the latest reports from 18 Feb [redacted] now indicate damage from 10 Feb [redacted]. I am concerned about the delayed reporting of this damage as it was not present in the report I obtained in March [redacted]. This has caused me trouble as I relied on the initial report for my purchase decision. I urge you to help me address this issue. Please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you, Rohit. D.

I recently discovered inaccuracies in my Carfax report when attempting to sell or trade my car. The report falsely states structural damage reported on 10/26/[redacted], while the actual damage is purely cosmetic from a minor accident. With only 46,[redacted] miles and meticulous care, the car has no structural issues as confirmed by the body shop. They suggested Carfax contact them at Stadium Auto Body to correct the error. Please reach out to the manager Josh Everhart at [redacted] or [redacted], referring to Bennie Butler's [redacted] Ford Mustang RO Number M46631 and claim number 04-[redacted]-T6502. I seek assistance in rectifying this mistake and appreciate any help in resolving this matter. Thank you.

We discovered paint on our vehicle from PennDot. Upon contacting Geico, we were informed that our car was falsely reported to Carfax as having rear damage. Geico sent a letter acknowledging the mistake and clarified it was an error similar to a cracked windshield, not actual damage. A licensed body shop removed the paint, and we submitted Geico's letter and the body shop's invoice to Carfax requesting the erroneous October 3rd, [redacted] report to be removed. Despite multiple attempts, Carfax claims their report is accurate. Geico advised us that it must be entirely removed. We seek a prompt resolution to this issue. Reference #[redacted].

I have noticed that Carfax is stating that my [redacted] Chevrolet Traverse LTZ with VIN 1GNKRJK$FJ244622 has been in an accident with deployed airbags, which is not accurate. This false information is significantly impacting the value of my vehicle. I urge you to rectify this error promptly. My name is Johnny Zamora Jr and I reside at [redacted] Lakeshore Dr, Edinburg, TX [redacted]. You can reach me at [redacted] or [redacted] or via email at [redacted] I possess the Workbench Service Menu & report that verifies my vehicle has never been in an accident, which I can provide upon request. I am experiencing inaccuracies with the mileage recorded on my car. I have been the owner of this vehicle since [redacted]. In [redacted], upon importing the car into Canada, there was an oil change where the mileage was mistakenly noted on the bill. I possess documented evidence from [redacted] up to the present day, including an auto appraisal from [redacted] showing a mileage of 69,[redacted] miles at the time of purchase. It appears that the initial mileage reading in [redacted] at the Acura dealer may have been incorrect, as evidenced by my [redacted] appraisal showing the mileage as 71,[redacted] and the current mileage at 74,[redacted]. I have meticulously maintained this car in my collection for 23 years, having it exclusively transported to car shows. The safety inspection and oil changes in [redacted] were conducted by Northwest Acura in Calgary, Alberta, which may have mistakenly reported the mileage, as supported by my comprehensive documentation.

Hello, I need to address an issue regarding the carfax report for my vehicle. When I imported my car to Canada from the US, Northwest Accura mistakenly reported the mileage as [redacted] kilometers instead of miles. The correct mileage should have been [redacted] miles, as my car's odometer reads in miles, not kilometers. The dealer inappropriately listed the car with kilometers on their paperwork. The actual mileage at the time of purchase was [redacted] miles. The car traveled from Scottsdale, AZ to the Alberta border for customs inspection and then to Calgary, Alberta, resulting in [redacted] miles. Northwest Accura's error occurred during a government inspection where they recorded the mileage in kilometers instead of miles. Additionally, the report mentions a dealer callback that was addressed during this time. To ensure the accuracy needed for licensing in Canada, I request a corrected carfax report detailing the mileage and the resolved callback. Please send the revised report to my email at [redacted] Thank you.

Carfax is not disclosing if a dealer ran a report before purchasing my car. Is this information confidential? I thought it was public knowledge. Carfax states that to find out if the dealer ran a report, I need to provide a subpoena or have the police department request it. The car I bought was in an accident and from an auction. The dealer claims he was unaware of its history, but I know he typically checks for such information on trade-ins. I am willing to go through the legal process, but I am awaiting a response from Carfax on how to proceed and the fax number for the subpoena. Thank you.

I purchased a [redacted] GMC Sierra with 40 miles and signed for it at 60 miles. I am considering trading it in, but the dealer discovered an accident reported on its Carfax history that I know nothing about. The record claims an incident in Virginia in December [redacted], which is impossible as I have never been there during that time, and the truck has always been in my possession with no accidents. Dealing with this error has become time-consuming and costly, with two ongoing cases with Carfax to resolve the issue.

I am disputing the accident record associated with my vehicle. The Car Fax report shows a [redacted] record, but I purchased the car in [redacted] with a clean Car Fax indicating no issues. I believe there may have been a mistake with my VIN being entered and closed immediately, resulting in an inaccurate report. Since owning the vehicle, I have had no repairs or issues, and it only has 16,[redacted] miles on it. I have a hard copy of the clean [redacted] Car Fax to provide as proof. I am confident this is a computer error on your end, as I am looking to sell the car and need the report to reflect accurately. Please get in touch with me this afternoon to address this matter promptly.

My car was in an accident, but there was no damage to either vehicle. Surprisingly, my CarFax report now shows an accident, severely impacting the trade-in value. I possess a police report clearly stating no damage occurred. The individual I lightly bumped into at a stoplight was unreasonable, demanding a police report despite no paint transfer and police verification of the minimal impact. Unfortunately, he proceeded to file a claim, receiving a $1,[redacted] buff job for his Porsche through my insurance. I am frustrated and seeking advice on rectifying this error. My License Plate is BSK-[redacted], and my VIN# is 1GKS1KE04DR133554.

For the minor paint work done on my car after it was keyed, I'm concerned if Carfax will list that repair if it goes through my insurance. In my experience, even the most basic Carfax reports show any damage. This detail could worry potential buyers who see the report. I'd like to know if there's a way Carfax distinguishes between minor paint damage and more serious body damage to provide clarity to those viewing the report. If I were a buyer, I'd naturally assume the worst with such a report. Can you explain how Carfax handles this kind of scenario? Lastly, I'm curious where Carfax obtains the damage report from, the repair shop, or the insurance company? Thank you.

On June 03, [redacted], I bought a [redacted] Dodge Durango from Isaac & Ike Motors Cars, VIN#1C4RDHEG6FC120280. Before the purchase, I was unaware that the vehicle had been wrecked. When I requested a Carfax from the salesman, he mentioned he only had a picture, which was different from the one shown to me earlier. I believe I should have been informed about the previous accident so that I could make an informed decision. On June 14, [redacted], a piece of molding fell off the truck. When I tried to contact Ike, I was told he was on vacation. I'm waiting for his return to discuss repairing the molding, fog lights, and front camera. Ike mentioned he would assist with the fog lights but wanted me to buy the molding, which I find unfair. I am seeking for Ike to address the issues with the fog lights, camera, and molding. You can reach me at [redacted]. - Shantwain Walton
