The issue in GetHuman2604842's own words
I am an Air Force Reservist serving full-time on PCS orders in Virginia since February, ****. My military W-* states my full year's military pay in Block **, but my withholding is small since I didn't take out withholding when I was non-domiciled out of state. I have withholding amounts to the days I worked in California with my Civilian Employer in January and part of February ****. That employment in California is reflected on a separate W-*, and will be filed as taxable. Per the FTB Publication ****, I am a non-domiciled California resident, as I still claim California as my residence and Home-of-Record, therefore it appears that I owe no state tax for the days I haven't worked in California. Question: Should I have my W-* corrected in Block ** to reflect no income earned since I was serving outside the state of California on PCS orders, or just leave the W-* as is with the full year's military income providing my orders with my filing? *Thank you, *Colonel Steven Priest*USAF Reserve
