My address is up to date with the EDD, but for some reason, Bank of America has not reflected this change. When I contacted BOA to request a new card, they advised me to update the information with EDD. Despite receiving mail from EDD at my current address, there seems to be a disconnect. Getting through on the phone is challenging, especially considering it is the weekend now. I wonder if there is an online option available to speed up this process.

Three years ago, I made a mistake with my unemployment claim which resulted in having to repay an overpayment. I have since found a new job but now need to reapply for unemployment benefits. I applied in early December and was approved for a weekly amount of $[redacted], but haven't been able to find work yet. However, I am facing penalty weeks without payment due to the past issue. I believe this is unjust as it was an accidental error. My job involves working with multiple companies, making the form-filling process complicated. The penalty duration being mentioned between 5 to 15 weeks is causing me a lot of frustration.

I am writing to address an issue I have been experiencing with my unemployment benefits. I claimed benefits for the weeks of 6/16/[redacted] and 6/23/[redacted], but I only received payment for the week of 6/16/[redacted]. The week of 6/23/[redacted] is still pending, despite no changes in my circumstances. I am also looking to enroll in California Training Benefits to avoid doing a job search, but I have had difficulty getting assistance over the phone and during my office visit. I would appreciate your help in resolving these matters promptly. Thank you, Marcos G.

On June 19, I received a letter indicating that I was approved for benefits. However, when I attempted to certify on June 27, I encountered issues with the website. After reaching out to EDD, I received an email on June 29 stating that my claim was invalid, instructing me to refer back to the letter from the 19th, which I found confusing since it was an award letter. The award letter detailed my weekly benefit amount of $[redacted] starting in June [redacted]. I believe the response on the 29th was a mistake, and I urgently need assistance as my financial situation is becoming dire. I kindly request clarification on why my claim is considered invalid and the necessary steps to rectify it. Additionally, I ask for prompt action to allow me to resume filing certifications biweekly and receive retroactive benefits. Time is of the essence for me.

I was out of work and unaware I could receive benefits while waiting for a new job. It took me 11 weeks to file a claim. After appealing, the judge ruled in my favor and approved benefits for those 11 weeks retroactively. I received a letter confirming this decision, stating that benefits should be paid back to January 14, [redacted], and I am not disqualified for the 11 weeks ending March 31, [redacted]. Despite this, I have not seen the benefits deposited into my account. My name is Thomas David Enos, and my social security number is SOS [redacted]-35-[redacted].

I encountered difficulties when I tried to file for unemployment at the end of June [redacted]. My email had been unreliable, and I didn't receive the confirmation email promptly. After noticing ongoing issues with Yahoo, I switched to a Gmail account and managed to get the confirmation email in time. I responded to the email to confirm my registration, but then the system transitioned to a new one that required a fresh registration the following week. Unfortunately, my pending claim doesn't reflect my earnings from the first quarter of [redacted] with two different employers, only allowing me to enter earnings from the second quarter. The new system demanded 18 months of employment earnings, yet only permitted me to input 15 months. I have evidence through screenshots of this discrepancy and am seeking assistance to ensure my first-quarter earnings are included in the calculation, totaling around $16,[redacted]. I need these earnings to be recognized to prevent any reduction in my claim amount.

I believe there was an error with my benefits being stopped prematurely. On 8/8/18, I received an old determination letter via email, dated from July, stating that I wouldn't receive benefits for June 1-11, [redacted]. I had already appealed this decision and have not received any updates on the appeal process. Despite sending the necessary information to EDD for benefits through August 31, [redacted], and receiving benefits starting July 17, payments have since ceased without explanation. The lack of information and outdated correspondence is confusing. Please assist me in clarifying and resolving this issue. Thank you.

I am currently working part-time at Lowe's while also receiving unemployment benefits. I have encountered several issues with my employer that I would like to address. Firstly, despite requesting a department transfer months ago and discussing it with HR, I am still categorized in my old department even though I am working in a different one. Due to a permanent employee taking over my duties in the old department, I have been left with no tasks to fulfill. Secondly, I informed them of my disability (diabetes and bone spurs in my lower back) upon being hired. However, in my new role, I am required to work late shifts until 10 pm and start early the next morning at 8 am, causing physical strain and discomfort, especially for my feet and back. I have requested adjusted hours through HR to accommodate my health issues, but no changes have been made. Lastly, I have faced harassment from a colleague and reported it to HR, leading to improvements in direct confrontations but ongoing disrespectful remarks from their associates. I feel unsupported in addressing my physical conditions and believe they may be trying to push me to resign by assigning unfavorable schedules and tasks. I am concerned about losing my benefits if I choose to leave under these circumstances. I am actively seeking a return to my previous office job, which had significantly higher earnings compared to my current hourly wage at Lowe's.

Subject: Follow-up on Unemployment Benefits Interview Dear Sir/Madam, I recently had an interview scheduled for my UI benefits which got disconnected prematurely. Despite multiple attempts to reconnect and leaving my details, I have not received a call back. I have diligently followed instructions, making myself available for an interview slot since 09/04/18 but to no avail. As time passes without benefits, my financial situation becomes increasingly strained. I am willing and prepared for the interview, having set aside time and ensuring my availability. I kindly request your guidance and assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Sincerely, Kenny C. Chan SSN: [redacted]-26-[redacted] Phone: [redacted]

I am encountering issues submitting a form through the Contact Us link. I have followed the steps on DI Online (not mobile), filled out the necessary information, yet the system flagged my question as incorrect without specifying the error. I am seeking clarification on what needs to be corrected. If the online form cannot provide this information, I would appreciate being connected with an IT specialist for assistance. Best, M. E. ([redacted]) Regarding my employment situation where I was terminated while on medical disability leave, I marked "REASONS NOT LISTED" as the reason due to not quitting or being fired. Furthermore, there seems to be a discrepancy between my ability to work full time as I indicated in my initial application and what is stated on my notice. It is urgent that this issue is resolved promptly as I have limited time. I have already experienced long wait times on the 1-[redacted] helpline. Thank you.

I submitted my claim and got the form to fill out for the weeks of 3/07/19 to 3/23/19. After sending it, I received another form that pointed out some errors. I corrected them and returned it promptly. The form mentioned calling the office for further queries, but despite my attempts, I haven't been able to reach anyone. I've been without work since February 28, [redacted], and I'm unsure of the next steps. My name is Joanne Evans, and I filed online with confirmation number [redacted]1.

Good morning, unemployment agent. I recently discovered that despite having two letters from my employer confirming my eligibility for unemployment benefits, I was denied. I had to undergo surgery, and the dates provided to me for filing were incorrect due to my disability and information given by an unemployment agent. When I tried to file, I was denied due to this error, which seems unjust to me. I believe I deserve these benefits and would like to appeal the decision. I have faced significant hardships, having earned the right to these benefits. I was expecting to receive $[redacted] weekly, but due to my hip replacement, I need this support. I continued working until I could no longer bear the pain. I am actively seeking employment and wish to resolve this issue to receive my entitled benefits. Thank you, Karen Tellier.

My husband recently fell critically ill, and his EDD disability claim was approved on 9/27/[redacted]. We were advised to expect an EDD Card, but to date, we have not received it. As we urgently need the funds for his upcoming Hospice Care, I am reaching out for assistance. For end-of-life arrangements, could you please guide me on the necessary forms for me to act as power of attorney on his account? I do have a power of attorney document that is both updated and notarized, which I can provide if needed. Unfortunately, I have been unable to contact anyone for help, and it seems I require specific EDD forms to proceed. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you, CARemington

After submitting the family care leave claim to Kaiser, the Release of Medical Information (ROMI) was sent to EDD. However, EDD notified me that part C, which includes the patient's details, was left blank. Although Kaiser confirmed they have the required information in their records and usually EDD sends a form indicating missing information, they haven't received any notification. EDD informed me that if the necessary details are not provided within 10 days, the claim will be closed. Unfortunately, I am unable to reach EDD by phone as the line is consistently busy. Kaiser's hands are tied until EDD specifies the missing information.

I was laid off on January 3, [redacted], and I didn’t realize I might be eligible for UI benefits. I filed a claim on November 3, [redacted], hoping to receive retro benefits for the months I was jobless. However, the claim started from the filing date, not my termination date. I'm seeking guidance on whether I can still apply for benefits and submit claims for the prior months of unemployment.

I am inquiring about account number [redacted] for Audrey S. Yesterday, November 20, I received a call from an agent regarding my benefit status. They mentioned that my first week's benefits were issued, but I have not received my benefit card. I have also certified for benefits for another week. I updated my address on the EDD website. I want to confirm if the card was sent to my previous address at [redacted] E. 35 St. Long Beach, CA [redacted], and how I can have it delivered to my current address at [redacted] Wilma Ave Commerce, CA [redacted]. How long does the process take for a new card to be delivered to the new address?

I was unaware that I needed to submit a resume when signing up with CalJobs. Unfortunately, I had trouble accessing both the CalJobs and EDD websites, leading me to certify my claim over the phone. Despite diligently searching for a job and attending interviews, I faced a disqualification from receiving six weeks of benefits that I depend on for essentials like gas and transportation. While I can demonstrate my job-seeking efforts through platforms like ZipRecruiter, Monster, and Indeed, a misunderstanding led to my non-compliance with CalJobs requirements. Even though I attempted to register with CalJobs and create a resume, technical issues prevented me from completing the process. This situation has left me struggling to cover expenses like groceries, gas, and rent, causing significant stress as I fall behind. I have filed an appeal but remain uncertain about the next steps.

To whom it may concern, I submitted a claim in October [redacted], and I have only received one check in my account (EDD Credit Card). However, I have not received any claim forms since that time. I've tried multiple times to contact EDD to address this issue, but I haven't been able to reach a live representative to help me fix it. If possible, please reach out to me at [redacted] or [redacted] Thank you in advance for your assistance. Sincerely, Robert M.

Hello, I recently submitted my disability paperwork while on maternity leave over three weeks ago. Unfortunately, I haven't received any response yet, and I'm getting concerned. Despite my attempts to contact them by phone, I haven't been able to reach anyone. I wanted to arrange direct deposit for quicker payment, but without a claim number, I feel stuck. This is my first time seeking disability assistance, and I'm feeling lost on what steps to take next.
