I've dialed the [redacted] number more than [redacted] times in the last month without ever speaking to a live agent. My electricity, cell phone, and Comcast services are all at risk of being disconnected. I can't drive to the Sacramento office. I've sent over 15 emails requesting confirmation of my approval and the availability of benefits. If you have any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. And just to let you know, I've pretty much memorized the online website, which has been no help at all.

I have not received funds for three months. I am facing challenges resolving the issue as their overloaded phone system asks me to call back later despite my numerous attempts. Additionally, I cannot access their website due to a technical error on their side. When I try to log in, my email is not recognized, but if I attempt to register, it is accepted, yet I still cannot sign in. This lack of communication is putting me in a difficult financial situation.

I have been attempting to contact someone by phone to address a simple question but have been unable to reach anyone, receiving a full voicemail each time due to high call volume. I am relocating from Las Vegas, Nevada to California for medical reasons following open heart surgery on November 6, [redacted]. My cardiologist has advised an additional 3 months of recovery. Despite my short-term disability ending and my denial of long-term disability, I am moving to California due to a lack of income. I am unsure if I qualify for State Disability Insurance (SDI) in California, as my corporate office is located there, although my local office is in Las Vegas, Nevada. I plan to move to California by May 31st. Please reach out to me at Pia with a hyphenated last name at email [redacted] or phone [redacted] if you can provide me with this information.

After being let go due to a workplace injury, I discovered the need to apply for State Disability Insurance (SDI) and Worker's Compensation. Unfortunately, the process has been challenging with missing forms and delays. During a meeting at the local office, discussing backdating to the injury date to expedite the approval resulted in unexpected consequences with unemployment benefits. Despite being assured of a solution, there was miscommunication leading to financial strain and garnished income tax. Seeking guidance on rectifying the situation and finding assistance to handle these issues effectively.

I recently applied for disability online, but my doctor informed me they couldn't complete the necessary paperwork online. I am now applying via mail, and it's taking a long time for the clinic to provide the required paperwork. It has been a month, and I still need to send my paperwork to another clinic to be filled out before mailing it to the disability office. I am concerned about the time it's taking and the possibility of not getting approved. I need to contact someone at the disability office to update them on the situation. Can they process my application considering the delay in getting the paperwork filled out by my doctor and the need to involve another clinic? Thank you.

I received an email from EDD stating that I will not receive payment due to working. The email is a no-reply, and I attempted to call back but was unable to get through. I'd prefer to speak to someone over the phone, but I struggle with answering unknown numbers. It is inaccurate as I haven't been working since my injury. Despite my employer attempting to terminate me when my FMLA expired, I stood my ground due to my disability and lack of performance issues. There was a gap in my notes during appointment dates, but full coverage was provided later. I'm perplexed by the situation and would appreciate a callback. Leaving a message with a suitable time for a return call on my phone would help. It has been three weeks since my last payment, and I'm facing financial difficulties, having tapped into my PTO previously when payments were delayed.

I have a permanent visual disability, certified by my doctor and acknowledged by the federal government through SS disability benefits. However, EDD's requirement for a random recertification poses challenges as I struggle to locate their notifications in my email. The lack of assistance to navigate this process is frustrating, especially when faced with unclear scheduling procedures. When attempting to contact EDD for support, I experienced difficulties reaching a representative, with one call ending in me being placed on hold without any communication. The lack of accessibility in their systems creates additional barriers for individuals with disabilities like myself, leading to feelings of discrimination from EDD which is unacceptable.

Are SDI payments weekly or bi-weekly? I got my initial payment on October 18th, but then they suddenly stopped. I wasn't informed of any issues with my SDI. Is this just a one-time payment, or is there a waiting period between payments? I have bills to catch up on and I need answers quickly. If my payments have been halted, I should have been notified. However, I received no notice about this. It's challenging to reach a representative for SDI matters. The online system seems insufficient, especially for urgent situations. I need to understand the issue promptly.

I haven't been well recently and have dealt with serious health issues such as a mass in my left lung and heart problems, leading to multiple hospitalizations in [redacted] and [redacted]. I submitted my SDI claim promptly after being discharged from the hospital, but my primary physician was uncooperative, so my cardiologist completed the necessary forms instead. I am very sick and unable to manage on my own. All required documents have been submitted for some time now. I'm concerned about the delay as I stopped working on July 28 and urgently need the funds to avoid losing my home. My attempts to contact you by phone have been unsuccessful, with no callbacks received despite multiple tries. Thank you, Patrick M. at [redacted] Ramsey Drive, North Highlands, CA [redacted].

I have only received one message stating that I did not qualify for family leave benefits. I applied for disability insurance and I am concerned about the status of my application. In addition to my medical submission, I am morbidly obese, 280lbs, and 5' 7". I have difficulty standing for more than 10 minutes without needing to sit. I suffer from neuropathy in my hands and feet resulting in loss of feeling. I also have high blood pressure, am an insulin-dependent diabetic type 1 for over 30 years, and have had several ambulance visits and a hospitalization due to poor control with ketoacidosis. Recently, my hands started shaking involuntarily, yet to be diagnosed. I have vision problems due to diabetes, making it challenging to drive at night. My hips, back, and knees hurt when I walk. I urgently need disability benefits.

I am gathering information for my son who is with me and will be applying for SDI soon. His average gross annual income is about $65,[redacted]. Question 1: Can the court order SDI or the SDI recipient to continue paying court-ordered bills? Currently, he pays $1,[redacted] in child support for two children (ages 2 and 7) and has three court-ordered monthly bills: $[redacted] in spousal support, $75 in arrears spousal support, and $25 in sanctions. Question 2: What will happen to his medical coverage? He currently has Kaiser medical insurance and is required to provide medical insurance for his wife and two children. I suspect the court may adjust the amounts in Question 1 due to his lower SDI income. Question 2 is less clear to us, so any further explanation would be appreciated. Thank you, Sergio

I am Martha Uribe, and my SDI number is [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]. I am confused about why I need to keep logging on to SDI to answer questions. I filed my claim, and my doctor confirmed I won't return to work until February due to my brain tumor surgery, radiation, and upcoming chemo. I have only received two weeks of payment so far. I provided all required information along with my doctor's details initially and expected all payments at once. I have been unable to speak to a live representative despite trying daily. The automated system is frustrating, and today I was told the call limit was reached at 10:25 a.m. after going through the whole process. It's been seven weeks since I've been off work, and I should have received payment for six weeks based on the medical information provided by my doctor. The continuous questions are perplexing to me as I haven't resumed work since October 26th. The difficulty in reaching customer service is making it challenging for me to get the assistance I need.

I submitted my state disability application a month ago, but my doctor wouldn't fill out the form, saying he doesn't do online disability forms. I visited the disability office in San Diego, handed in the completed paperwork over three weeks ago, and it still shows as pending online. I'm unable to reach anyone for an update. How can I get in touch with a live person and get an update on my application? Feel free to contact me at [redacted] Thank you.

As an intermittent employee at the Oakland Museum of California, I sustained an injury on the job. Despite notifying my employer on 10/31/18, I faced challenges with my workers' compensation claim. Despite providing the necessary documentation and attending appointments, Republic Indemnity denied my wage compensation benefits based on my work schedule. This denial complicated my situation as I had to decline job offers due to my injury. Moreover, confusion arose regarding disability benefits as I did not realize the distinction between Republic Indemnity and California Disability Insurance. Seeking assistance from the SDI has proven difficult as I have been unable to reach them by phone. As I navigate my return to work at OMCA while still experiencing symptoms and ongoing medical issues, I am seeking guidance on how to proceed with a potential SDI application.
