I was in a minor car accident a while back, and reported it to my insurance. When taken to the insurance repair place, they said they were unable to repair the extremely minor internal damage, as those parts are no longer made. So, they gave me the value of my car, but I am keeping my car and continuing to drive it because it is safe. My insurance said I needed to get a salvage title from the DMV. To get a salvage title that allows me to still drive my car, I need to get it inspected somewhere in CA. However, I just moved to WA, and would really like the avoid getting the car inspected in CA. The WA DMV says I can't register my car here until I have the salvage title. How can I get the salvage title without having to drive two states north? Thank you!
