Caliber Home Loans*Customer Service Department**I am requesting that any late payment notices sent to the three credit reporting agencies be rescinded.*I will explain why I am making this request as succinctly as possible :*-*Hurricane Irma struck our area, (my house) in September, ****.*-*As soon a possible afterwards, I immediately called Caliber Home Loans and explained that I would have problems making the next loan payment because of unexpected financial expenditures make during the hurricane power outage and cleanup.*-*I was told by Caliber representatives that since I was in the Hurricane Hardship zone, that I would be given three months grace period on my mortgage payments. (All of my conversations with Caliber reps were recorded, or so it was stated. I state this because upon listening to the recordings you will understand that my missed payments were a result of what I was told by Caliber reps. All of whom advised me that they were in apposition to agree to my missing three payments).*-*I was first told that I was a hardship. And at a very later date told that I’d have to have my loan redone at a higher interest rate than what I then had.*-*I told them that I did not want to do that and that I would catch up on my payments.*-*Several calls and collection attempts were made, and I kept telling all that I would catch up on my payments and when that would happen.*-*I did get caught up on my mortgage payments (in fact overpaid).*-*I received a notice that my credit score had dropped because of Caliber Home Loans reporting late payments.*I am not understanding how this late payment reporting would happen given the fact that I made calls advising about doubling payments to get caught up and had agreements with the Caliber representatives.**They instructed me to write a note to Customer Service explaining the Hardship, etc situation in hopes that you’ll understand the stress from that hurricane and recovery episode and additional stress of having late payments reported to the credit agencies* when I was doing what was agreed to.**No payments were ever missed or late prior to or after that hurricane incident. *I really appreciate your understanding and assistance with my issue.
