Get a replacement pair of **x** compact binoculars ... Bought Cabelas’ **x** compact binoculars at Green Bay Wisc. store *-* yrs. ago. Right lens started fogging up this spring during turkey season. Took binoculars to Green Bay store where purchased. Customer service clerk (small girl in wheelchair) told me lifetime warranty was really only good for * yrs. on binoculars and I was out of luck. I had no receipt or certainty of date of purchase but knew I bought them at the Green Bay store with my Cabelas credit card a few years back. She was done with me. Maybe I didn’t read the warranty when I bought the binos but assumed from lifetime dealings with Cabelas that I was covered with a replacement warranty. My mistake but I’m very dissatisfied and disappointed with the whole incident. I will be discontinuing my Cabelas credit card and exclusive use of your products. Thanks for listening. Tom Bressler
They made very little effort to help me out even though I MAY have misunderstood lifetime warranty.
Honoring product lifetime warranty which I assumed binoculars had. May be MY BAD!
Up till now have used Cabelas credit card for everything. Been customer and credit card user for **-** yrs. Rethinking exclusive credit card usage now.
Talked to phone serv. rep * month prior to store visit on June *rd. He was very attentive and suggested visiting store to resolve issue. He spent a good *** hr with me on phone trying to verify purchase date so I could return binoculars. Records didn’t go more than *yrs. but he dug deeper and sent me records that went back further than * yrs. but had trouble downloading. Whole experience left me feeling it just wasn’t worth it for $*** binoculars! But decided to try store visit where I purchased binos a few years back. That didn’t work out!
