The doctor sent the pre-authorization on Wednesday, they should have received it and put the prescription through, and at the very least, kept my husband abreast of where they are in dealing with this issue. ... My husband takes a medicine pantoprazole and he reached the ** day limit last week. The pharmacy never notified him or the doctor that he reached his limit. We kept going to the pharmacy to pick up the prescription and all they told us was it was on hold. Finally on Tuesday night after I once again went to the pharmacy, did they tell me about the quantity limit and that we needed a pre-authorization from his doctor. His doctor sent a pre-authorization letter to the insurance company on Wednesday, we still have not heard back from anyone. Because of other medications he is on, he needs that specific medicine.*There is no way that someone didn't notify us about the pre-authorization.
My husband has been without his medicine for * days which is not good for his health.
Follow through and make sure the pharmacy gets the pre-authorization to fill the prescription.
I've been a customer for many years.
I shouldn't have to try anything else. A doctor prescribed a medication and it was sent to the pharmacy and everyone dropped the ball after that.
