An Open Letter to Members of The Senate: I support the Covid Relief bill in its current form. While I won't personally benefit from it, the nation urgently requires this assistance, particularly for vaccine distribution. Holding our previous President accountable is crucial for national healing and the future of our democracy. I urge you to prioritize the well-being of your constituents over party lines and special interests, regardless of your committee assignments. Please fulfill your duty, demonstrating that ethical conduct and public welfare outweigh personal gain and corruption in politics. Thank you. An Ordinary Citizen

I recently came across information about Marjory Taylor Green denying the Parkland shooting. I suggest interviewing Dr. Abbe Finn, a professor from Florida Gulf Coast University, who was deployed to Parkland by the Red Cross after the tragedy. Dr. Finn provided counseling to parents, staff, and students at both the hospital and school for several weeks. Her colleagues covered her classes at the university so she could be there. It would be insightful to hear her perspective on the Parkland shooting.

I reside in a rural area known as Pittsburg, Texas, where the electric company has been overcharging residents, particularly as electric rates have been escalating during the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Some bills have soared to $[redacted], with various charges including $[redacted] for fuel and power. This is putting a strain on not only myself but many others in the community, including seniors and closed businesses. It is essential for someone to investigate these practices for transparency and fairness. My details are as follows: Patrica W., contact number [redacted], email: [redacted] Living in a rural setting as a Black individual, I have encountered discrimination at local establishments, including restaurants. Despite owning several businesses, I have faced obstacles and bias because of my race. Recently, I was denied a package due to an absurd reason like not mowing my grass, which is puzzling in connection to the current pandemic. The treatment I've received is unfair and discriminatory, and I seek assistance and support in addressing these issues.

I am curious about the bias CNN shows against Donald Trump. I live in South Africa, and I expect news outlets to remain impartial and report only the facts. The constant belittling of Trump by CNN reporters and newsreaders, with smirks on their faces, is concerning. The impeachment trial seems baseless, and I believe he will not be impeached. Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital earns my gratitude. Regardless of CNN's coverage, I am sure he will run for presidency again and succeed. The way CNN portrays him is distasteful. I find solace in the fact that Jerusalem, the City of God, is acknowledged. No amount of bias from CNN or any other entities can change that. Please feel free to contact me since even Zuckerberg knows everything about me due to interconnected systems.

Dear CNN, As a retired teacher, I have always felt valued until experiencing a snow day when very few students showed up and teachers were expected to be at school. It felt like being a babysitter. During this pandemic, teachers are being asked to be at school for the economy and in-person learning. Teachers are frontline workers who deserve to be valued. I urge for all teachers to be vaccinated to feel protected and for schools to have the necessary supplies for better education. Every effort for a student contributes to raising good citizens, and everyone needs encouragement. Thank you for listening.

I am an 86-year-old individual who has been attempting to schedule a vaccination appointment since January. Despite my continuous efforts on various websites and making numerous calls daily, including at unconventional hours like 2:00 am or 3:00 am, I have been unsuccessful in securing an appointment. It is disheartening to witness younger and healthier individuals receiving vaccinations while I, as a priority candidate, continue to face challenges in booking an appointment. Despite reaching out to officials like Gov. Cuomo, Rep. Thomas Souzzi, Suffolk County Supervisor, and local politicians, I have not received any assistance. The increasing number of individuals eligible for the vaccine adds to the difficulty of scheduling an appointment, leaving me feeling exhausted and considering giving up due to the continuous unsuccessful attempts.

I am 86 years old and have been trying since January to secure an appointment for the COVID vaccination. Despite my persistent efforts, including frequent visits to various websites at early hours, I have not been successful. Watching younger and healthier individuals receiving the vaccine on TV is disheartening. I have reached out to Governor Cuomo, Representative Thomas Souzzi, my Suffolk County superintendent, local politicians, my doctor, and the senior center, but to no avail. It feels discouraging to see others getting vaccinated while I continue to struggle. I fear falling further behind as more people are added to the priority list. I hope that this issue can be addressed promptly, as I am sure other seniors are facing similar challenges.

As a loyal viewer of CNN, I appreciate the content you provide. However, I am concerned about the extensive coverage given to former President Trump, who is now a private citizen. It seems disproportionate compared to the coverage of other living former Presidents and current events. I urge you to focus on the positive happenings in the country, such as medical advancements, scientific achievements, President Biden's proposals, and other significant stories, instead of letting DJT dominate the programming. Let's highlight these important topics and move away from excessive coverage of one individual.

I would like Criss to watch a video I found on the web. It's a heartwarming story about a boy on the beach at Normandy from World War II. It honors the veterans who sacrificed their lives for us. It's a reminder of our great country. Not all vets are losers. Keep up the good work. I'll pray for you and your brother. Richard

It is distressing to see the consequences of the recent decisions being made and the impact they are having on families. The healthcare system seems to be causing significant challenges for many, especially in access to necessary medications. It is easy to feel frustrated and overwhelmed when faced with such obstacles, from rising healthcare costs to difficulties in affording essential treatments. It is vital for authorities to ensure fair and equitable access to healthcare resources for all individuals, regardless of their circumstances. Making healthcare more affordable and accessible should be a top priority to prevent such heartbreaking situations from occurring.

In regards to the Derek Chauvin trial, why is the title written as "THE KILLING OF GEORGE FLOYD" instead of "THE DEATH OF GEORGE FLOYD"? There is currently no confirmation that he was killed. Medical assistance was requested by the police only 3 minutes after he mentioned breathing difficulties. Based on my extensive experience with numerous deaths, it appears to be a case of a heart attack, heart failure, or a fatal cardiac event. If he was strangled, there would be eye hemorrhages, ejaculation, and defecation. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to refrain from calling it "THE KILLING OF GEORGE FLOYD," considering the sensitivity of the situation and the experiences of those involved. Just a suggestion, but the wording may need reconsideration for those affected by such incidents, either personally or through media exposure. Best regards, R. Shandera

As a former editor of a major magazine, I would like to discuss the significance of journalistic integrity. I believe it is essential for reporting to be fair and unbiased. As a disabled combat wounded veteran who served in Vietnam, I believe it is important to focus on the facts rather than political agendas. During my time in service, the priority was always to assist our fellow soldiers in need, regardless of their background. I experienced firsthand the sacrifices made to protect others. It is crucial for the media to present accurate information without sensationalism. We need to address all aspects of critical issues, such as border security, with honesty and awareness. It is essential for everyone, including public figures like Geraldo, to acknowledge the full scope of the situation. We must analyze the impact of policy changes objectively instead of being swayed by political rhetoric.

I'm experiencing an issue with the Sunday night specials. I'm watching "The People vs The Klan," and like many others, I find it challenging to hear the story due to the loud music playing in the background. The music is overpowering and makes it hard to follow the narrative. My husband shares the same sentiment. Interestingly, my mother wanted to watch the program but decided against it because of the noise disturbance, echoing my concerns. I believe many others might be facing the same problem. While I understand the music adds drama, I would appreciate adjustments to prioritize clarity in storytelling. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best, Janice S.

Hello, my name is Michael Burnett from Plymouth, Massachusetts. Please consider my observations regarding the body cam video seriously, as it may impact the trial's outcome significantly. I noticed a small but increasing stream of water coming from under the cruiser, precisely where the tailpipe is located on the side George was near while on the ground. The water trail seemed to be originating from the tailpipe, which would have been very close to George's face, given his position just inches away from it. The cruiser appeared to be running for the tailpipe to emit that much water. In body cam 3 on the 3rd day of the trial between 20:19:12 and 20:23:44, you can see the water trail and even witness the water dripping from the cruiser. It was not raining that day, so the water was from the tailpipe. Mr. Floyd did not pass suddenly but seemed to fade slowly, resembling Carbon Monoxide poisoning symptoms. I have been trying to bring attention to this for 3 days and finally reached out to you directly today. I hope you take my observations seriously and examine the videos yourself. There are more instances of this water trail in other body cam recordings. I believe this detail could affect the charges against the officer if proven. Feel free to reach out for more information. Mike Burnett in Plymouth, Massachusetts. [redacted].

I recently learned about CNN Technical Director Charlie Chester's tactics to influence public opinion, which appears to be propaganda. Instead of sensationalism, how about focusing on real stories like the content found on Hunter Biden's laptop? This gripping material involving inappropriate behavior deserves more attention. It's time for media outlets to prioritize genuine news over pushing agendas for ratings. Let's shift the focus to compelling stories that truly matter, such as the controversies surrounding Joe and Hunter Biden. It's essential to prioritize integrity and accuracy over sensationalism when delivering news content.

The CNN editorial by J. Lee on April 24, [redacted], titled "Opinion: Lessons from Canada on gun control" contains some questionable statements. Illinois currently uses a license to purchase, which has not reduced the gun crime rate. Despite strict gun laws in Chicago and New York, these cities still have high crime rates. People working in Washington D.C. have shared they feel the need to carry guns without permits due to safety concerns. Canada's strict gun laws have not significantly impacted their low crime rate, indicating that it is the people, not just the laws, that make a difference. Though red flag laws are beneficial in theory, their subjective implementation through public opinion and personal biases raises concerns about their reliability. The discourse around proposed laws like the infrastructure bill demonstrates a gap between intent and practical outcomes. Addressing the societal crisis requires a focus on teaching responsibility, morality, justice, and reason to a broader audience. Public portrayal of criminals' families and the impacts of lenient bail laws, like New York's, on rising crime rates underscore the need for a holistic approach to solving issues rather than merely controlling them through division.

I am not familiar with Rick Santorum, despite living in PA. His statements regarding our country's cultures are distressing, particularly his remarks that may upset Native Americans. When I researched him and looked into his background, it felt like delving into fiction instead of reality. His extreme viewpoints seem more fitting for a work of fiction than real life. I am astonished that he represents your company given his controversial beliefs. His assertion that nothing existed here prior to the arrival of Christian Europeans is not only ignorant but also disrespectful. It is disappointing that CNN, a network I thought valued diverse perspectives, employs someone with such closed-minded views. I believe in hearing various opinions, but not if they propagate lies and hostility towards others.

Hello, my name is Vanie H. and I'm from Texas. I recently came across a news story about a property dispute involving descendants of a Black couple, which reminded me of my own situation. Four years ago, my property was wrongfully acquired due to a past credit card debt. MainStreet Acquisition, a debt collection agency, obtained a judgement through a misleading writ of execution from the Justice Court. Despite hiring two attorneys who took advantage of me financially, I later discovered that the Justice Court didn't have authority over real estate matters. Seeing an individual named Mahesh P. from the Harris County Appraisal District near my property raised concerns. Furthermore, finding his name on the Deed Under Execution solidified my suspicions. I've contacted various authorities for assistance, but my property has not been returned. Any legal guidance would be greatly appreciated. You can reach me at [redacted] Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am in need of assistance. As a Covid survivor who lost their job of over 42 years, I believe the company's actions should be looked into. Jobs are hard to come by, especially for a 62-year-old like me. I have never had to rely on the government before, but now I am struggling to obtain my earned unemployment benefits. I applied in January [redacted], received payments in January and February, but they suddenly stopped without any explanation. I have been unable to reach anyone by phone for answers. I even tried contacting the governor of New York with no success, and there is no contact information for the commissioner. I believe bringing attention to this issue could make a difference for myself and many hardworking individuals facing similar challenges in New York, New Jersey, and across the country.

I am Jody Lombardo, the mother of Nicholas Gilbert, who was tragically killed in his holding cell by 10 police officers on December 8, [redacted]. The officers have evaded justice due to Qualified Immunity. I am hopeful that the Supreme Court will grant my son a fair trial. The loss of my son and the knowledge that those responsible for his death are walking free is devastating. The attorney handling my son's case has neglected crucial information, such as the fact that Nicholas had two missing bones in his neck/collar area. I am determined to seek the truth. My independent autopsy revealed that these bones were surgically removed before we received Nicholas's body. I am desperate for accountability and justice for my son. I urge anyone who can help me bring attention to Nicholas's case and push for a fair trial to reach out. Thank you, Jody Lombardo.
