My name is Anthony YoungI have been on medical leave since the end of March ****. I was recieving Short Term Disability and it helped us stay afloat. My Short Term ended in September and is supposses to be switching to Long Term but I am having problems. I have not recieved a check in about *-*** momths now and my health situation has not changed, in fact it has gotten worse. Your company has all the information yet I have not been approved. Alot of my information has been with short term and it seems an easy fix for your long twrm department to get that information, yet they have not. The latest fiasco was that I was tols I have a desk job so my medical does not support it. I have now sent my official job description to your company for a third time showing that I am suppossed to do alot of heavy lifting. Logically, if I was getting short term and nothing has changed, long term makea sense. Not the case though it seems. I paid for both types of disability insurance and you gladly take my money, but refuse to do what needs to be done. Let me quote YOUR information about Long Term Disability Insurance...*"Cigna Long-Term Disability plans can pick up where Short-term Disability leaves off, with helping to ensure a continued flow of income if you can't work for an extended period of time due to an illness or injury. You can pay bills and focus on getting well."*Ha. That statement is a joke...I am on the verge of bankruptcy because I can't work and your company seems to be looking for a reason not to pay me anymore. I need someone to look at my situation, research the information that Short Term has from me and my doctors, ans understand that when my Short Term ended I was still eligible to recieve Disability Insurance. My health has not improved, it has probably gotten worse. My job is very demanding physically and I am unable to do it at this point in time. I am very upset that instead of trying to help me, Cigna is looking for a way not to help me, but has no problems taking MY money. Again, please look into the situation. Analise was my Short Term rep and she was amazing. My current rep for Long Term, Robin, does not seem as helpful. He seems to try, but gives me very little advice and input like Analise did. And your company acts as if it is looking for a way NOT to help me...before my wife and I become homeless.
