I was trying to have a bill made up for the quarter ending on ** May. ... We are Electricity Customer Reference Number ************. Meter readings recorded on ** May were, after hours of trying web chats, put up in the 'my account' section of the British Gas (BG) website but have not been used to make our bill, which is due on these readings for that date. We have asked BG to calculate and send our bill but even when one of their staff agreed to do this we received only a paper copy of the bill dated * April ****.*MT&EC Heydeman
It is almost impossible to get through to any of the British Gas staff - and even then those contacted fail to realise that all that I require is a bill based on readings that I can see have already been placed on the web in the British Gas 'my account' section. After perhaps an hour one can have completed an online web chat. Action may have been promised but it has not, as yet, been the correct action.
I want a bill made up for the quarter ending on ** May.
I have been a customer of British Gas (electricity) for several decades.
I have had to register a new complaint to get even a web chat, which is itself very time consuming and seems not to be recorded by British Gas or to result in the required action. Perhaps Ofgas might help.
