Hi There,**I bought this property (*** Clearburn Road, EH** *EY). The property has pre-paid gas meter. I am not familiar with this meter and basically today I have found out that previous tenants have a debt of ****.**£. Every time I top up this meter, *.**£ goes towards that debt. I have bought this property on the **st October ****, and I have officially moved in on the **th of November. I have got proofs from my Solicitor and from the Council. When I have phoned British Gas, no one has told me about this debt, and I am very disappointed. I have also tried to change this pre-paid meter to a normal mete but nobody told me the reason why I could not, they only told me I have failed the Credit Score. I was VERY surprised as my credit score is VERY high. I can give you any information you want, but please I do no want to pay for others and I would like that debt to be removed from my new flat.
