Subject: Clarification on Accommodation Booking Hello, I made a reservation for a "villa" and upon arrival, I discovered it was actually a small cottage at the rear of someone's property, despite being advertised as an "Entire Villa." Although the listing did specify the size as 28 square meters, it would have been more helpful if it explicitly stated that it was a cottage. After discussing the situation with the host, we agreed that I could stay for the night in adherence to COVID-19 guidelines, and he confirmed that he would refund me by tomorrow (29/11/[redacted]). The host also mentioned that he would contact Booking.com regarding the refund. I am requesting a refund accordingly. Thank you, Ricky M.

Ref: Booking Confirmation Number [redacted] I made a booking at the Kirkcudbright Bay Hotel for Tuesday evening, November 23, [redacted]. However, I later canceled the reservation and received a confirmation for the cancellation. Upon reviewing my bank statement yesterday, I noticed that £85 was debited with a reference to the Kirkcudbright Bay Hotel. I promptly emailed them asking for a refund, explaining that I canceled the room well within the required time frame. Their response stated they did not receive notice of the cancellation, hence proceeded with the charge. They advised me to raise the issue with you, hence this message. Regards, Graham L.

On November 23, I made a car rental reservation for a Mitsubishi ASX from Liberia Airport in Costa Rica from December 24 to January 1 through booking.com, which was confirmed with reference number [redacted]45. Recently, on November 30, I was notified that the car has an "On request status" with Sixt. When I checked 'Manage My Booking,' it was mentioned that Sixt needs to confirm the details within 24 hours. However, the confirmation email to [redacted] has not been received even after the 24-hour period. I am eagerly waiting to know the current status of my car rental reservation as I require the vehicle for my upcoming trip in Costa Rica.

I was incorrectly charged $[redacted].44 after a booking error ruined my Thanksgiving plans. I had requested a stay in Felton, Delaware, but was mistakenly booked for Fenton, United States by a representative named Daniela at Booking.com. This mix-up left me stranded without accommodation. To make matters worse, I was billed for a room in a different state on top of it all. I urgently need the erroneous charge to be refunded promptly. Barbara M. #[redacted] PIN# [redacted].

I visited your site to cancel my reservation, and it mentioned that any non-refundable fees would depend on the hotel's policies. After contacting the hotel directly, they assured me there would be no cancellation fee. Consequently, I proceeded with the cancellation. Unfortunately, I encountered difficulties reaching out to Booking.com for assistance. Upon cancelling, I noticed a refund of only $12.87, which is significantly less than the initial charge of $[redacted].87. I am seeking a full refund and would appreciate it if someone could address this matter. I feel misled by the information on your website regarding hotel fees, as it influenced my decision to cancel. I can be reached at [redacted]. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Diana D.

I reserved a hotel room in Stillwater, Oklahoma for November 19-21 through Booking.com and paid via PayPal. However, when my daughter arrived at the Holiday Inn on the 19th, they claimed the room was unpaid and charged her credit card. Despite contacting Booking.com and Holiday Inn, the issue remains unresolved, resulting in double charges - once on PayPal and once on my daughter's card. The customer service representative at Booking.com assured me they would contact the hotel to address the problem but failed to do so. The front desk supervisor I spoke to at the hotel was Amanda Edwards. The room was booked under my daughter's name with confirmation #: [redacted] and Pin #: [redacted]. I kindly request prompt assistance in resolving this issue. You can reach me via email. Thank you. - Michelle F.

Hello, I stayed at Potters Moorings B&B in Shaldon, Devon on the 20th of November but made the booking earlier that month through Bookings.com. No money was charged at that time, just my card details were provided. I paid £[redacted] with my NatWest debit card at the B&B for one night on the 21st of November. Upon reviewing my online banking last week, I noticed that two payments were taken, totaling £[redacted] for the £[redacted] stay. I contacted the hotel, and they confirmed that only one payment was processed by their bank, Barclays. Could you please review your records and provide me with some clarification? In my online banking statement, one transaction shows "Hotel, London, GB" and the other states "Shaldon, GB," which has left me a bit perplexed. I look forward to your response. Best regards, Deborah E.

I made a reservation through Booking.com for a stay at Potters Moorings in Shaldon, Devon on 20/11/21. I paid £[redacted] to the hotel upon checkout, but upon reviewing my account, I noticed that two payments were taken instead of one. The hotel confirmed only one payment was received on their end. I believe Booking.com may have also processed a payment, resulting in the additional charge. I am requesting a refund of £[redacted] for the duplicate payment. Can you please investigate this matter and process the refund? - D.J. England (Deborah England)

I am writing on behalf of my father to address an issue with a reservation made through Booking.com. I reached out to Booking.com via the help center four days ago, but we have not received a response yet. My father booked a two-night stay at Best Western in Tallahassee, FL ([redacted]) for the nights of October 30th and November 1st, [redacted] (Confirmation #[redacted]56-01). He stayed both nights and was charged accordingly. However, on October 25th, Booking.com charged him $[redacted].92, which seems to be the cost of one night's stay. We are confused as to why he was charged for an additional night when he only made a reservation. I have attempted to contact Booking.com by phone, but I could not find a phone number on their website.

Good evening, I made a reservation to stay at the Wavney House Hotel in Beccles this Saturday, December 4th, [redacted]. My reference number is [redacted]. I am disappointed to inform you that my partner, due to unforeseen circumstances, has been exposed to Covid-19. I wanted to cancel our reservation for safety reasons and to protect other guests. I attempted to call to cancel, but the phone number provided on the website seems to be incorrect. Please advise if there are any cancellation fees associated with this. Thank you.

I booked a stay at the Atlantis Coral Hotel from December 26 to January 3 with confirmation number KP2GNVOAHO. I can't remember my pin and am experiencing difficulty logging in. Considering the current travel challenges due to Omricon, I have two inquiries about my vacation plans. Firstly, what penalty would apply if I cancel the reservation? Secondly, if I want to check in a day earlier on December 25, [redacted], how much extra would I need to pay? Thank you, Sheila J.

Booking ID: [redacted]67 Booking Reference No: [redacted] Client: P. B. Member ID: [redacted]92 Country of Residence: United Kingdom Hello, I made a reservation at the Moxy hotel in Aberdeen due to the recent storm and power outage in North East Scotland. During the booking process, I encountered issues where the system did not allow me to specify the number of adults, inquire about a smoking room, or select breakfast preferences. I booked a double bed for myself, but the reservation ended up showing a booking for a double bed and two breakfasts instead of just one for me. The hotel confirmed they couldn't modify it and advised me to seek a refund through Booking.com. Additionally, the hotel does not offer smoking rooms. Could you please assist me in obtaining a refund for the extra breakfast throughout my stay? Thank you.

I have a booking with booking confirmation number [redacted]. I am currently located in Dubai and the booking is for Durban. Unfortunately, the flights to South Africa were canceled due to the coronavirus. I asked the owner for a waiver fee option, but they were unwilling to cooperate. Although the owner suggested alternative dates, I am uncertain when I will be able to travel there next. I have tried to resolve the situation amicably, but the owner's behavior seems unfair and vindictive. I noticed the owner attempting to double book the property by opening up the dates on the app, which we have evidence of. Despite their constant attempts to pressure me into canceling without a refund, I no longer trust this booking. I would like to request a refund due to the breakdown of trust and poor communication. I have used the app multiple times without issues, and my wife also lists a property with you. We have successfully received full refunds from another app, LekkerSlaap, for bookings in the area. Given the circumstances and lack of trust, I feel it's best to discontinue this relationship and request a refund as I believe the owner may not honor the booking during a peak period.

Hello, I was charged an additional $[redacted].56 on my card after leaving Artel Hotel Times Square, and I am unsure about the reason for this charge. Upon check-in, I was charged the total amount of the reservation plus a $[redacted] security deposit for any damages, which was supposed to be refunded at the end of my stay ($[redacted].65 + $[redacted]). I would like an explanation for this charge and a full refund of $[redacted].56. The booking code through Booking is [redacted] under the name of J.F. Terroba. Thank you, Regards, Jorge

I encountered an issue with my hotel reservation (Conf. #[redacted]) at the MGM National Harbor. Despite multiple failed attempts to check in online, when I physically went to the front desk, they informed me that my reservations were not in the system. Consequently, I was left without accommodation and my account was charged. I am requesting a complete refund to resolve this matter.

I was charged $[redacted].50 and $60.00 at SureStay Hotel in Coralville, Iowa. Someone used my information to book a room, but I did not stay there. When I called the hotel, they mentioned that someone checked in with my mother, who is deceased. I am unsure why they did not request identification during check-in. They informed me that it was booked through a third party, so I am reaching out to request a refund for the unauthorized charges.

I am disappointed with the misleading information from the room seller. They claimed it was a non-smoking property, but upon arrival, it was evident that smoking was permitted. I booked a six-night stay but could not tolerate even 10 minutes in this smoke-filled property. It is owned by a smoker who does not see any issue with the situation, even during breakfast. The Bed and Breakfast took $[redacted] from us and declined to refund any amount. This is unacceptable. Booking.com has not been able to assist in getting our money back. This situation involves false advertising and feels like theft.

This is my third message to you. I made a reservation for a 3-night stay at Home2 Hotel in Rapid City from Nov 18th to the 21st. Unfortunately, I had to cancel immediately due to my grandson's serious accident, which left him paralyzed from the waist down. I am hoping for a timely refund. I am preparing to escalate this issue to the Better Business Bureau if necessary. The total refund amount is $[redacted].23.
