I booked a glamping pod for Feb the **th. Absolutely disgusting. Poor excuse for 'glamping'. Me and my partner were both involved in a crash the day before so had to arrange a lift there. Followed the postcode on the website, which took us to the wrong place (should have stayed there), rang the owner who gave us directions which I'm glad we did as she told us then we had to call to a pub to pick up the keys. Arrived at the pod, which was facing the other direction with only a tiny path, which was flooded resulting in us having to walk across bogged grass to get in. Had to kick the door to open it, toilet was in the pod but only allowed to be used for a pee and toilet roll to go in the bin next to it (how unhygienic). Large bottle supplied for water but no water actually in it, I walked over to the showers and had to fill it up using a tap. Toilets were absolutely disgusting and pitch black, not one ply of toilet roll supplied. Walked back to the pod and had to kick the door to get in once again. Couldnt sleep as pod was leaking and dripping kept us awake all night. Went to pull down the blind and the whole thing came off the window and landed on my partners head. Pod had a mould patch from the leak. Went to the pub after check out to complain, the owner didnt even show her face as she was too busy out the back, left bar staff to deal with it. Apparently they should have told us after we booked it that no toilet roll was supplied. We asked for a refund as it was a awful experience, they offered us £** which cost us more in fuel! We had to sleep with the door slightly open as we didnt have the strength to close it from out injuries. Apparently we should have complained in the night and we would have had a full refund. Which would have left us with no where to stay, in the middle of storm Dennis. I wouldn't reccomend this place, and wouldn't stay again even if we were paid to do so. Absolutely shocking. If you do decide to stay there are no sign post for 'meadow glamping' it is actually called somtheing else. Campsite was an absolute dive. Considering we were going to try relax after the traumatic experience we would have rathered sleep in a tent in the garden. You would be silly to waste money on this place, hotel in the warm with working facilities is cheaper and a better experience. Could have stayed closer to home for cheaper and a more enjoyable time. Thanks for the £** refund, wouldn't even say it was worth **p. Shocking. Please read the reviews before you stay, clearly the owner doesnt as they are all the same issues as we had and nothing has been done. Booking.com did not supply any details on toilet roll, directions, etc. We hated absolutely every second we spent there and would like a refund in full before we take it any further.
