I accidentally booked an apartment on wrong date by mistake when planning my summer vacation in Austria. I immediately contacted booking.com customer service and the property owner to change the date. But they responded me two days later that I can't change date and I have to pay *** Euro for cancellation. Is it possible to waive my cancellation fee or at least reduce it? I just think *** Euro may be too much as penalty for a customer who booked the wrong day by mistake, I didn't mean to randomly book a apartment and cancel it for fun. Actually, I think booking.com should also take part of the responsibility because no obvious note about the reservation date before confirmation.
