The issue in GetHuman-delboyq's own words
Hi, I booked the Talbot Hotel Wexford on Thursday last (****) for Saturday (****) through Booking.com. The conditions for booking my room clearly stated that no payment was required until we got to the hotel which was a total of €***. I used a visa card to confirm the booking and it still stated "Don't worry you don't need to pay yet" I got to the hotel on Saturday and the lady at check in asked did I want to pay cash or card for my stay so I paid €*** cash. The visa card we used for booking was my girlfriend's and we didn't realise until she checked her online banking that €*** Was taken from her account on Thursday for the booking. We've paid twice for the hotel, and I don't understand why €*** Was taken from her visa card when it clearly stated I didn't have to pay until I got to the hotel. And since the €*** Was already taken from the card, why did it not show up when we were checking in and why did we have to pay twice? We've been in contact with the hotel and the told us to wait until tomorrow to see if the €*** Was put back in her account. I hope this gets sorted out asap because we're €*** out of pocket for no fault of our own and don't know why the money was taken out on Thursday when it stated on your site twice while I was booking the room that we didn't have to pay until we got to the hotel. *Hope to hear from you soon,*Derek Quinn.
