I was trying to pay a bill online to pay for my car payment. I did not even request a check to begin with, but I received a check mailed to me made out completely incorrectly. ... I have had a check generated from my account in the amt of $*** that should not have been I need to know what to do with this because the check was not only unnnecesary but it was made out incorrectly as well. I need these funds credited back to my account as soon as possible. I need to speak to someone in regards to this as soon as possible. This happened over a month ago and I've tried calling numerous times and was on hold for hours. I would appreciate this problem be rectified on your end immediately and that I be notified once it has. I need a call back or an email stating what steps you need me to take if any to fix this large problem. I thought by leaving my email address that someone would know to get a hold of me that way. It is completely American Express's responsibility to rectify this situation and if I am not notified with some sort of solution I am going to go the Better Business Bureau.
I just wanted to pay the bill online. I did not want a check. This payment was for my car payment and what they may not realize is that the longer that it looks as though I did not pay the bill the interest is accruing to my account which should not be my responsibility to pay back considering it is American Express's error in the first place.
I need the money returned to my account as soon as possible so I am actually able to pay the bill. I do not know what they expect me to do with this check but it is my money and can not be cashed or sent to the loan company because it is made out incorrectly. There was no stub with the check, no letter stating any way I could fix this on my own otherwise I would have. Right now I am stuck with the money deducted from my account which Bluebird generated into this unusable check. Meanwhile, my bill has remained unpaid the interest in accruing, and I need that money back in order to pay the bill correctly, so however they want to fix this they need to let me know what I need to do on my end if anything.
I have had this account for years, and have never had a problem like this in the past. I was mostly satisfied with the service I had received from the card in past years. As far as my paying my loan company I am also a good customer when it comes to them. Now it appears as though I missed a scheduled payment and all of this interest in accruing to my account which has never happened before. Something needs to be done to fix this immediately.
I have tried to call American Express numerous times to no avail. Both of the times I called I ended up on hold for over * hours each time. I never actually even spoke to a live person the whole time. I think they could at least have someone screen the calls and let you know that they cannot help at the moment but maybe they could take your number down so someone would be able to call you back whenever they are able. I don't believe speaking to an actual human being should be too much to ask for.
