I was responding to a text message today and the screen of the Blackberry KEYone that I purchased on August **, **** from Amazon.com (I can provide proof of purchase) went blank. The time was approximately *:**pm ********** and the battery life of the unit was between **-**%. The screen is still back-lit and the phone makes noises as though it is receiving notifications though no information (including the boot logo) is viable on-screen. When powered on, the three function keys on the bottom of the touch screen still respond to input when pressed (they generate vibration) though seem to have no describable effect. I have restarted the phone several times using the hard-start button on the side both plugged in and unplugged from a *.*amp USB-C charge port but this has had no effect on the condition. I assume that the screen has somehow shorted out. The phone has never been dropped, the screen is entirely undamaged, and the unit has never been submerged in water or even been in a damp environment. I was in my studio when the event occurred and the humidity readout on my environmental controls was **.*% with an air temperature of **.**F so I have to assume that any condensation or suspicion of water damage can be entirely dismissed. I will need a solution or a refund*replacement for the model soon and would appreciate a timely response. Thank you for reading.
