Good Morning,**I am writing to let you know of my recent experience shopping online with Best Buy. After months of researching and planning, I decided to purchase an Apple MacBook. I made my purchase last Sunday night and just received my order yesterday before leaving work for the weekend. **Much to my surprise, my $**** machine was shipped from Best Buy using a flimsy, cheap bubble mailer. Take a moment to think about how you might feel if you spent this much money on a laptop and had the company feel they needed to select the cheapest shipping materials possible-regardless of the fact that this would in no way protect the expensive item. I was angry, shocked and frustrated that BB would think it’s appropriate to ship a laptop in a bubble mailer. Not a cardboard shipping box-a bubble mailer. There’s a dirty footprint on the mailer which proves that there was no intent to ship my laptop with protection in mind. There’s nothing on the bubble mailer that says “fragile” because who in their right mind would place a laptop in a bubble mailer? **I am writing to make you aware of what has happened, and to give you an opportunity to show me how you can make this right. I have not opened the bubble mailer seal as I am not sure I will even keep the laptop at this point. There’s no way to guarantee it hasn’t been damaged from traveling across the country and I don’t see how it would be fair for me to take on any damage incurred prior to me receiving it. If the laptop had been available anywhere in state, I would have driven to pick it up in person. But the model I wanted was not in stock, so I was forced to have it shipped. I have always purchased my laptops from Best Buy, and this purchase was meant to replace my last MacBook Pro I purchased approximately * years ago. I was way past due for a new laptop, and I was so excited to receive this after months of saving and searching for the right model.
