I recently bought * stem gift cards for my son totally $***. I paid cash. Upon returning home my son tried to use the gift cards and they weren’t valid and wouldn’t load onto his account. I contacted stem and they verified that NO,his account was not loaded with the $*** and the cards were invalid. Since I bought in the store,stem could not refund my money. I called Best Buy store and the manager said “this happens a lot,call corporate. I called the **** and they confirmed that the cards weren’t valid. I received a case * and was told by the representative and also his manager that my account was noted and return to the Best Buy store for a refund,cash as I paid. Upon returning to the store after hanging up,the manager stated that he couldn’t refund my money at the register and that customer service would issue me a check. I called customer service while still at the store and they said I could only get a refund at the store. I am very upset and disappointed. As a long time Best Buy customer,I cant even dispute with my credit card BECAUSE I PAID CASH!! To lose $*** within buying it around *pm,returning home,calling stem and corporate Best Buy and then returning back to the Best Buy store ALL WITHIN * HOURS...I still HAVE NOT BEEN REFUNDED! I do not want to ever deal with a gift card again from Best Buy!! I am requesting as corporate stated by * representatives and a manager that I would get a FULL REFUND due to the error.
