Hello, on ******** at **:**pm Pacific Time I made an online purchase of an Apple Watch Series ** Order *BBY**-***********. I paid using $** in Best Buy rewards* the remainder was using a $*** Best Buy Gift Card with the balance on an AmEx credit card. The price of the watch before taxes was $***. I picked up the watch at the Pinole CA Best Buy store on *****. When I picked it up I told Customer Service that I now see that Costco has the identical watch for $***.** before taxes. I showed the associate a live shot from my iPhone of the Costco price* just as indicated in the Best Buy price match policy. The associate checked with a Manager and a price match was approved based on the details in the Best Buy website Q&A. I told the associate that I was fine if I was just given a Best Buy gift card ($**.** total* $**.** price difference plus *.**% sales tax). The associate said that instead she needed to have me return the watch and then buy it back at the price match of $***.** plus tax. However, when she tried to make that happen she advised she wasn’t able to refund the full amount of $***.** because of my using the Best Buy Rewards of $**. She said she could only refund $***.** and was concerned my $** in Rewards points would be lost. She instead advised I contact Best Buy Customer Care. I called Customer Care and the automated response for price match advised to use this chat function instead. It would certainly be poor customer service if I couldn’t obtain the price match due to my being a frequent enough customer to be able to use Best Buy rewards towards the purchase. Particularly for an Elite Plus Customer. I trust that you will be able to make this right and provide me a Best Buy Gift Card for $**.**. I am anxious to use my new Apple Watch* but have not opened the box just in case I need to go back to a Best Buy store. Hopefully Best Buy can take care of this online so I don’t have the inconvenience of going to the store. Thank you for your help. Besides the e-mail below* you can reach me at ***-***-****.
