Good evening, **Last night I went into Best Buy to upgrade to a new iPhone. Kye from the store in Greenwood Indiana was extremely snarky and rude. First, when he asked for my pin he gave me no context and when I had to call to my relative to figure it out he commented to me “* years later” which I understand was probably just trying to be cute but came off as rude. After that the Apple activation server was down. Me and another customer were both having the same issue on two different carriers and instead of contacting Apple he contacted Verizon to help. This went nowhere. We asked if we could leave and he said “NO, I have to activate before you can walk out the door.” He kept trying to activate my phone and when he was asked to hard reset the phone he was struggling so my boyfriend mentioned that he knew how. And Kye rudely turned around and said “WELL THEN DO YOU WANT TO COME DO IT?” And my boyfriend had to give him instructions on how to get it to reset. By this time it’s been over an hour trying to activate it, Best Buy is closed he is helping another customer. Comes over, hands me my phone says, can’t do anything you’ll just have to activate it yourself. My boyfriend asks if I’d be able to use the new SIM card in my old phone and he says “I don’t know, I guess” and sends me on my way. There was no thank you, no bag, all the paperwork, phone overloaded in my hands, no courtesy. I am a Best Buy rewards member and was very disappointed in my experience. It makes me want to go to a Verizon store where I know I would get better customer service.
