I came into the Vallejo store to purchase a GoPhone. I am very low income, I have less than $****mo to buy food! I told Tyler, the sales associate, that I wanted the least expensive phone. He said the $**.** phone was sold out, that I had to buy the $**.** phone. I told him I couldn't do that. Two weeks worth of groceries was too much to give up. He giggled. He grudgingly looked for the $**.** phone at another store and then found there was one in backstock there. I was thrilled and said that I would only have to do without food for ** days instead of **. He laughed again and stated that he was sure it wasn't true at all, what I was saying about the phone I was buying in an emergency while my regular phone was being fixed, that it was being paid for out of grocery money. *Tyler is obviously well fed and has never lacked for anything in his young life. His dismissal and amusement at my financial concerns are upsetting. *I work * jobs and save every penny I can and barely scrape by. I could not afford my phone to break. I will be going hungry so I can pay the mortgage and for gas to get to and from work now. It is simply rude to make fun of someone less fortunate. I have very little use for the luxuries offered at Best Buy, but now I am far less likely to ever shop there again regardless of my financial outlook.
